Did LUBP publish hatred and lies against Salmaan Taseer before his murder?

A certain group of establishment-friendly liberals is currently busy in circulating a baseless slander against LUBP website that LUBP published hatred against Shaheed Salmaan Taseer a few days before his murder. According to da vincian ‏@evo8X8, a close friend of Ejaz Haider (former director of Jinnah Institute, an ISI-friendly thinktank), “LUBP printed an article declaring salman taseer responsible for assassination of BB.. 3 days before he was killed”.

Similar slander was levelled by The Friday Times (TFT) blogger and current director of the Jinnah Institute, Mr Raza Rumi, which shows what levels urban liberal elites can sink to when faced with uncomfortable questions, e.g., about financial sources of the Jinnah Institute. https://lubpak.com/archives/272579

It also shows their level of desperation and insecurity. Mr. Rumi, known for routine flattery of Sharif brothers and their family members, now tries to implicate LUBP in PPP’s leader Shaheed Salmaan Taseer’s murder. Here’s a link to LUBP’s archive of all articles written/published on Salmaan Taseer, dozens of them before and after his murder: https://lubpak.com/archives/tag/salmaan-taseer

For the dozens of the articles in which LUBP supported Shaheed Taseer, there’s one critical article in which we disagreed with Taseer’s analysis of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s murder.

According to Raza Rumi, our critical article constituted hate speech leading to Taseer’s murder by a brainwashed bigot Mumtaz Qadri. Raza then proceeded to repeat the lie that LUBP has removed the post. Readers are invited to first read this still existing post before arriving at any conclusion. https://lubpak.com/archives/34446

As opposed to this once critical article, LUBP published dozens of articles since its inception in 2008 defending and supporting Shaheed Taseer, his family and his party. When Taseer and his family were being subjected to personal attacks and when personal pictures of Taseer and his family were being published by right-wing and pseudo-liberal blogs, LUBP was the only website which defended Shaheed Taseer and condemned this cheap propaganda. For example: We condemn dirty propaganda against Salmaan Taseer and his family by right-wingers and fake liberals.

As a matter of fact, few weeks before Salmaan Taseer was murdered, Raza Rumi’s blog Pak Tea House described him as a scoundrel. Raza Rumi’s Pak Tea House blog’s editor Raza Raja wrote this on 5 November 2010:

I have appreciated PPP’s role in 18th amendment and improved NFP award in many articles. But at the same time I think that PPP would be much better off without
1) Zardari
ii) Rehman Malik
iii) Salman Taseer
iv) Babar Awan
v) Fouzia Wahab
Please lets get rid of these scounderals

Ali arqam the problem is that these people are at the forefront…THEY ARE
These people are a liability to the PARTY… Sorry I will call spade a spade…
PPP whatever its shortcomings was built around left wing ideals…Such a sorry state to watch it defend croony politicians like Zardari, Baber Awan and salman Taseer..
Come on!!!! the party of brilliant people like ZAB,BB and J Rahim is reduced to this!!!

All LUBP articles on Shaheed Taseer and the disgusting remarks by Raza Rumi’s PTH blog are easily available by a simple Google search. Those who like to abuse LUBP without even minor investigation show their bias and ignorance.

If Raza Rumi wants an example of hate speech, he needs to look in his own backyard:

1. His own editor’s remarks about Shaheed Taseer (see above);
2. His another editor’s abuses for LUBP; https://lubpak.com/archives/28745
3. His Friday Times blog where he and others promote, enable and engage hate mongering Deobandi mullahs like Sipah Sahaba chief Ludhianvi and pro-Taliban cleric Ashrafi. https://lubpak.com/archives/252959 https://lubpak.com/archives/260933
4. His Friday Times blogger and Twitter enforcer Ali Chishti who wants to expand the Blasphemy Law to implicate all Shia Muslims in blasphemy of Sahaba https://lubpak.com/archives/231304
