Roots of Takfiri Deobandi militancy: Hero worship of evil renders the worshiper himself evil – by Rusty Walker

Christians all over Pakistan are enflamed from the smoke signals sent from the burning of Christian homes in Badami Bagh, Lahore. The message blazes over the hundreds of obliterated Christian residences, and seems to threaten: “Pakistani Kafirs lives will be burned by Takfiri Deobandi ASWJ terrorists, we, the Gatekeepers of Religious Intolerance!” Justification resides unwittingly in the Pakistan Blaspehemy Law as well as the lack of prosecution of those extra-judicial crimes committed against the accused. The Badami Bagh arson was set in motion by over 3000 brainwashed Deobandi-Sunni youth intent on carrying out vigilante justice over alleged and unsubstantiated accusations of “Blasphemy.” Yet another example of the encouragement given by the legacy of Zia ul-Haq’s non-Quranic-based insertion of a Blasphemy Law forever stuck in Pakistan’s Constitution.

Such evil seeds of discontent germinate from Saudi-funded denizens of Madrassas, and those influenced by radical Clerics’ encouragement. These mature into the immoral actions of Takfiri Deobandi-driven religiously motivated hate-crimes.  This is yet another illustration of a myriad of Saudi-funded Takfiri Deobandi ASWJ Sipah Sababa terrorist messages that seem to imply, “We kill with impunity without fear of the justice system.” Why not? The Pakistan law and order environment includes a Chief Justice who allows prisoner and witness intimidation leading to confessed assassins, the likes of Mumtaz Qadri to be set free. All these decades of burnings, beheadings and assassinations of proclaimed Kafirs are related. And, hero worship of evil renders the worshiper himself evil- in this case the accuser becomes the evil one.

This time, Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif have been implicated – PMLN-ASWJ – remains aligned with the Sharif-led Punjab government and are thus culpable according to all those with the courage to speak out within that community. The police who removed families prior to the incident, and yet attempted to sustain order in the aftermath, gave an inconsistent message- are they working in concert with full knowledge and sympathetic to the mob? The relationship of the manipulated and the manipulator is a two way exchange. Are the authorities fearful of the repercussions from the proven pattern of repercussions by the Takfiri Deobandi crucible, that even the Shias have experienced. It is as if to warn, “our fires of hell will flush out those against us, and you and your family will be killed if you speak out!”  Thus, the silence grows. Will Christians now be included in the Shia genocide?

The Takfiri, religiously-motivated incineration occurred March 9, 2013, and involved a simultaneous setting of fire to an excess of 160 Christian homes, 18 shops and several small churches burnt by protesters, with over 250 Christian families affected. Christian workers have spoken out in accusation against the PML-N government for patronizing, if not planning, or silently approving of, this religious crime against innocents. It is widely claimed in the community that Malik Riaz (local MNA) led the procession. The stage was set in motion Friday night as a local PML-N leader erected banners of blasphemy charges.  Those present note that he incited the crowds by vehemently proclaiming, ‘The penalty of blasphemy is only beheading!’Although these gruesome events happen under the Shahbaz-Nawaz government, no government officials arrive and in fact they are silent. Would this suggest collusion?

The lack of intellectual honesty or moral courage of the mainstream press obfuscates or ignores the true source of this continuing blatant violation of human rights by Takfiri Deobandis. Their brazen methods are facilitated by a tacit agreement from the security establishment and local politically-motivated collusion with known terrorist organizations. Their modus operandi is inflicting “terror” in order to proselytize their fundamentalist neologism to Kafirs, that is, anyone who does not agree with their 7th Century interpretation of Islam. It is left for us independent analysts to become historians to elucidate on the network of thugs claiming religious authority over others. So, who are these killers amongst us that murder and are not brought to justice? A walk though the valley of the shadow of death and destruction in Pakistan and historical explication will shed light on motive and allegiance to their faith, none of which can be supported by the Quran, or the peaceful messages of Mohammed (PBUH).

The root cause is instructive to know in order to understand the commitment to killing, and the relentlessness of the violence we are seeing. These roots are based in the ASWJ-LeJ, aka, Lashkar-e-Yazeed, belief-system: they do not venerate the Holy Prophet’s grandson, Imam Hussian (a.s.), instead they worship the murderer of this martyr, namely, Yazīd ibn Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan. My message to these sinister deviants is as the title suggests: Hero worship of evil renders the worshiper himself evil- in this case the accuser becomes the evil one, not the object of his ridicule.

The Caliph was appointed by his father Muawiya I who  ruled from 680 CE until his death in 683 CE. As I mention Caliph, I am reminded that readers’ eyes often glaze over at the mention of historical figures. However, it remains relevant if we are to understand and impede their progress! Although the suggestion of “Caliphates” in the current zeitgeist makes people uncomfortable, it is necessary to clarify motives to understand the depth of hatred that results in the current burnings, beheadings, and genocidal actions. Muslim against Muslim crimes, do not translate into the faithful Sunni against faithful Shia. This is deeper and requires a willingness for the public to be enlightened. The Shia genocide is related to this incident, in that, Christians, Hindus, Ahmedis, and Sufis are also targets. Many of us question: surely not in civilized society do Jihadist Muslims still dream of a Christian vs. Islam crusade, or the War of Civilizations, where the goal of an Islamic Caliphate returns?   However, in the Takfiri Deobandi belief system this dream abides. For example, any criticism of Yazid and his benefactors is punishable by death. Their hero, Yazid and his successor Abdul Malik ibn Marwan burned down the Kaaba, the house of God. Should we be surprised that today his followers burned down the house of Pakistan’s persecuted Christian community? After all, burning the houses of “innocents” is an act of religious valor in minds of these sordid, disturbed Lashkar-e-Yazid.

In accordance with Deobandi Muslims (fatwa of Darul Uloom Deoband in India), it is expected to describe Yazid as Ameerul Momineen and send blessings on him. These organizations and the networks surrounding though banned, remain active, and so they must be acknowledged and destroyed by Pakistani authorities, whether it takes the government growing a backbone, or the military facing its Raison D’Être of protecting Pakistani citizens from internal and external threat, it is necessary to wage war on this growing global menace.

Am I right in suggesting in my past and present essays that these people are inspired and funded by the Saudis? If you doubt this, read these corroborating links:

The Wahhabi, or preferred term, Salafist regime of Al Saud, recently established a high school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (1432 Hijri) assigning the name of Yazid to the school, the same murderer of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his holy household and companions. Yazid Ibn Muawiyah, the grandson of Hind, the woman who ate raw the liver of Hamza, the uncle of Muhammad (PBUH)! Imam Hussain (a.s.,), the beloved grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and third holy Imam of the Ahlul-Bayt (a.s.), was martyred in Karbala in 61 AH (680 CE) alongside his household members and his loyal companions and followers (Shia).the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:”Hussain is from me and I am from Hussain”!

The opening of a school in someone’s name is clearly a public acknowledgment of honor to that individual, in this case, Yazid. As the faithful understandably proclaim in the face of this insult, “May Allah (SWT) make those who are satisfied with Yazid to join him and have his fate on the day of Judgment.” Hero worship of evil renders the worshiper evil.

Approximately three years after the tragedy of Karbala, Yazid sent armies to attack Makkah and Medinah in the process damaging the holy Ka’bah and killing the inhabitants of the holy land and desecrating the places where bloodshed is forbidden. Prior to the the event of Karbala, Yazeed’s order was to kill Imam Hussain (a.s.) even if found clinging to the walls of the Ka’bah to prevent his blood spilled in the holy precincts of Makkah, Imam Hussain (a.s.) – migrated to Iraq. These are the roots of the current Shia Genocide being perpetrated on Shias by the Takfiri Deobandis in northern Pakistan today.

WHERE DO CHRISTIANS OR JEWS HAVE NO PROBLEMS CO EXISTING WITH MUSLIMS?

Even in war-torn Syria under Asad or Lebanon under Hizbullah. Even Jewish minorities in Shia Iran (whatever differences we may have with them) live in relative piece. It is a demonstrable fact, that any geographical location where there is allowed the metastasizing of the cancer of Saudi influence, for any length of time left unattended, Christians are killed and churches burnt, and Shias are targets. We in the U.S.A. have, in our uninformed society and misled presidential administrations, a myopic view of the Saudis, based on what I might term, petro-blindness. Out of commitment to Saudi oil and alliances in the region, we chose to ignore Saudi duplicity towards the U.S., the West in general, as well as other Muslim nations.

In Pakistan whatever is said or written, society is spoon-fed doctored facts; one must look for hidden motives, assuming rightfully, that the intent and content is suspect, because the press in Pakistan is biased. Mainstream media continues to defy or deny the facts by not mentioning ASWJ/LEJ Sipah Sahaba Taliban are allies of the PML-N government of Punjab. The Punjab government defaulted in their responsibility to bring to justice those in the Gojra attacks- thus, encouraging the same people, and giving the license to carry out attacks against these Christian Pakistanis.

The burning of Christian homes, the on-going Shia Genocide, require at last immediate action! These problems are not without solutions- some will require direct violent confrontation against Takfiri Deobandis, together with a revamped, non-corruptible judicial system, local and federal government involvement. Peaceful ideological battles are equally, if not more important. But, it will take a multitude of numbers of concerned societal resistance in this war of ideologies; outspoken Clerics, for example, as some Sunnis recently have admirably done. Numbers must be won over from the neglected, impoverished and uneducated from the Northern regions, and tribal society, that are vulnerable to radicalization; indeed, a resistance to the intelligentsia that are fake liberals, and a concerted effort of the educated and professional classes, and political vanguards, committed to the truth, to take their truth to the government and even an appeal to the military, some of whom have been implicated through the failed Strategic Depth policies to look the other way- to elected officials Pakistan society must come together to demand accountability.

Resistance to deceit, coercion and terror tactics has become a moral obligation of necessity at this point, for Muslims and Christians, the religious, non-religious, and secular, certainly a vision of the Founder, Jinnah. Solving the menace to Pakistan requires the coming together of Sunni and Shia, Christians and other minorities, including all society seeking safety by solidarity, not silence; and justice requires the acknowledgement of the current broken system; and acknowledgement of existing banned terrorist organizations, and the lack of action by authorities, and a civil demand for action.

If Pakistanis are working together for a common cause, through intellectual honesty and moral courage to publicize the truth behind unpunished crimes against humanity, progress will begin. Here readers can assist by becoming vocal and drowning out the shaming silence of the fearful, into vocal solidarity.

Here is what our former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on the subject

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave an accurate overview of the root problems we in the U.S., in our Cold War mentality, Republican and Democrat presidents and congress alike unwittingly contributed to the arming of Jihadists in the 80s, that upon our leaving the region, transformed into al Qaeda and Taliban; those terrorists with whom we deal today. Still, over a decade past 9/11 Americans and the current administration continue to remain focused on al Qaeda. This organization is only one small group. A myriad of splintered terrorist groups have multiplied and are aligned across the globe, from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, the Sudan to the dark corners of the United Kingdom, from Egypt to Azerbaijan with the same Salafist Caliphate goal they demonize the West, kill with impunity the so-called “apostates.” There is a global network of Jihadists. Muslims are not protected from these Takfiris (a Muslim who accuses another Muslim of apostasy). These Salafist radicals will torture, behead, burn alive for a slow death, men, women and children, or Christians, Jews, or Hindus as quickly as they will an atheist. They are enemies of all decent people who simply desire freedom and liberty.
