I think the current agenda of reconciliation, political and class is fine under these circumstances because swinging the pendulum in a completely different direction at this crucial point will certainly result in a disastrous imbalance. It will create gaps impossible to bridge. Though there are certain things in the long run we would like to change, but it will take time. Abandoning a process altogether and taking a completely new line of course is very immature.
Expenditure should be curtailed, revenue should be raised, poor people should be given stimulas packages, so as to raise consumer spendings, (local produces) so that local production could get jump start, which will create employment. Public work project should be started.
PPP has large body of written and historical inertia to fulfil Agenda for Pakistan. All cities except Major cities, ought to be provided with model prefab housing units at least one thaosand or more per district with undergroud utilities provision and thier away from bigger cities will make new hubs of commerce and business. Employment oppertunities with in Pakistan and abroad may be provided to at least, all graduates and professionals. QIPs to improve “quality of life of every citizen”. Only construction of houses, will employ number of citizens, directly & indirectly, while boosting economy and auxillary related trades/ Quality of life & Computer litracy are two more tangale achievables for PPP Agenda, in next three years, before election. Follow legit leaders and be quick to help them check themselves, if any thing un PPP like noticed. Succesful handing over of house to shelterless, is pivotal in PPP agenda. Next election will see land sweeping victory for PPP, as all others groupsare hetrogenous sans central Idea- PPP is an idea infused by late Zulfiqar Bhutto shaheed, further other groups are being exposed daily and opposition seems to further disintigrate. Full Faith in Chairman, PPP/President of Pakistan. Jeay Pakistan Jeay PPP. Pakistan Khapay. Shaheed zinda hain.
I think a fourth alternative that emphasizes PPP’s socialist agenda as well as commits to outreach and reconciliation (but only with reconcilable elements) should be stressed. Lastly, PPP really needs a far more intense and larger group of media ready personalities and develop its own web tools better.
reconciliation is best but i observed that ppp voters and especially workers are being effected due to improper /unequal sharing in the jobs and development funds. when mushraf and nawaz were in the power, they have harm ppp workers and supporters.
Our one generation has lost their age already without serving remarkable deed, BUT others still are getting jobs and other incentive, so ppp leaders should formulate a policy especially for deprive workers of ppp.
One must think beyond PPP jiyalaship or PMLN jiyalaship now as every needy human being is hungry and jobless in this dire era. Hoping for political jobs, while like minded party in rule, is another form of biasness, nepotism, thus to some extent extremism which forms chaos all the time. Such Jiyalaship thoughts will render nothing other than curtailing a larger common class party into a small localized party and shall be smoked up in thin air. What Nawaz or Musharaf has done should not be followed just to make few Jiyalas happy as they have suffered with the party. The Jiyalas should also think beyond.
@Khan Every other party is getting their workers employment in government departments. The MQM is one party that probably holds the record on this since during it’s rule THOUSANDS of it’s supporters got jobs in the lower grades of Sindh government. The PPP’s lethargy in providing Sindhis (let alone jiyalas) jobs is negatively impacting it’s voter base and is making it harder for the jiyalas to court or increase it. Given this situation, the people may start voting for local feudals in the hope of receiving scraps from their tables if pushed too far below the poverty line.
PPP representatives need to bring visible development into the cities of Sindh. They need to create a work-friendly environment as well as provide employment opportunities to their voters in every province.
@fauzia wahab Perhaps the fact that right wingers seem to be systematically predominant in Pakistan’s print and electronic media. To confront them, PPP needs to develop well informed and well presented scholars and politicians who could present their arguments and PPP’s case in a convincing manner to the audience.
Also the fact that compared to certain right wing parties (PTI, JI, PML-N), PPP seems to be under-represented on the internet and blogs.
PPP politicians and activists may like to make good use of some of the resources (articles, data, arguments) available at the LUBP.
we agree to disagree. If we want to strengthen PP than we have to strengthen Pakistan first. When I was a kid, i used to listen to remarks like (God Forbid) Pakistan is falling. at that time i wondered why people are saying such things. But now when I am a grown up, I see things falling around me. Each day, I read new stories… stories that horrify my soul.
If we run our country like this, then how and what can we offer to our near future except reconciliation, lawlessness and misery.
I demand a better future from my leaders…. I demand rapid steps to provide relief to working class which is the back bone of our economy…. i demand wisdom in the decisiions…
in turn i offer my my young blood my entire life my future my voice to my party. Jiye Bhutto
PPP’s agenda should be ” stability to Pakistan ” , a transparent governance with rule of law as its haul mark, with emphasis on education for people of Pakistan to understand value of democracy and particpate in the process to atain and maintain democratic rule. And above all provide solution to common man’s problem through provision in the agenda for a common man would support a rule that serves their cause – common man’s security, employment, health care, essential requirements such as water and electricity, and priority on merit in every walk of life
@fauzia wahab
I guess , the guy wants to say that PPP media team must do better homework while in tv shows.The best person who is always ready to response well is Mr.Faisal R Abdi.This guy knows how to defend PPP nd explain his pt. of view.
Under Zardari, only agenda is loot and plunder the country and run to foriegn country and eat, drink and be merry.After all they are PPP p he p itna p key p hey p.
@ppp truth
Under President Zardari’s Shelter PPP will make Pakistan a prosperous and peaceful Country. This is the Party of Pakistanis and Poors and Powerful Leader .. PPP will ever work for Poor Masses and InshALLAH after 5 years everyone who criticize this Government will have answer of his/her questions of Government’s performance. Instead of criticizing Government we have to stand along with them to make them powerful by this they can take great initiatives towards betterment of Pakistan. So pl be calm and let the Government to do their best for poor masses. Thanks!!
pppp should focuc on to provide security to the common people and their should be justice all without any discrimination.should maintain law and oerder situation
PPP should maintain and retain its outlook as centre-left political party and should have close interaction with the centre-left and social democrats governments in the world. It is irony that the media (almost whole media has rightist posture) has been hostile to PPP since its inception. Either there were no sincere and concerted efforts to interact with the media positively and convey its messages affectively or the media had not been receptive and willing to acknowledge and appreciate the positive and constructive cotributions of the PPP governments. The bottom line is that PPP must have a competent and dedicated media managers to affectively interact with the media.
There needs to be cohesion and harmony amongst the leaders of the party – right from the chairperson to the tehsil level leader of the Party. It seems that the Ministers are working on daily wages and are moving on different directions. They do not seem to have a common objective and the internal intrigues are visible from their statements and behaviour and attitudes. PPP leadership including the Prime Minister must select few Ministers to speak on public or policy issues and not everyone should be let loose to damage the cause of the goverment and the party by participating in talk shows without having any background knowledge of the subject. There should be a team of experts which should brief every leader of the party who is likely to participate in the TV debate on a particular issues.
There should be performance bench mark for every minister and his continuity in the cabinet must depend on the performance and not on the bases of blackmailing the party leadership.
Every cabinet member has right of dissent within the cabinet meeting and not in the public. When a member of treasury bench walks out, he loses moral grounds to remain in the party. Treasury members should not act as member of Opposition.
It is an irony that PPP offers sacrifices for the democracy and whenever it comes into power the whole rightist parties join hands against it although none of those parties can morally claim of having sacrified or struggled for the democracy.
Highlight your achievements effectively and aggressively with being shy of anyone. Let people know what this party has done for the general masses and for the country.
I am sorry my brother their should be some more option. i am not satisfied with the above one, i think they dont have any Agenda for Pakistan and their people. Do you think they have any? if yes then its a strange answer for me and many of other
