Nzaria-e-Pakistan (The Ideology of Pakistan) and the Mullah-Military alliance in Pakistan… Nazir Naji
posted by Abdul Nishapuri | October 24, 2008 | In Newspaper ArticlesIn this op-ed in Jang, Nazir Naji explain how the so-called ideology of Pakistan (Nazaria-e-Pakistan) was manufactured by the unholy nexus of Mullahs (Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Israr Ahmed, Dr. Safdar Mehmood) and Military (General Sher Ali, General Yahaya Khan, other officials of ISI) in 1971 with the blessings of the USA. As a result, the real ideologies of Jinnah and Iqbal were distorted, and a narrow sectarian agenda was implemented in the name of the so called Islamist ideology of Pakistan. Today, if the majority of Pakistani youths are confused about the ideology of Pakistan and do not have much knowledge about the ideas and principles of Jinnah and Iqbal, the real culprits behind this confusion are “intellectuals” such as Dr Safdar Mehmood, Dr Israr Ahmed, and other leaders or supporters of jihadi and sectarian organizations int his country, the real baqiyaat of Zia and Yahya.
The states coined on the basis of religion have to face the same fate as Pakistan is facing. Pakistani leadership tried to avoid the same by calling Pakistan a Muslim state, rather than an Islamic state. But you cannot forbid the people having a strong religious aptitude from changing Muslim into Islamic. A cultural implication needs not much to confuse itself with the religious one. The Quid and his company did not find a suitable word for their state. The word Pakistan could easily be recognized as Islamic because the overwhelming population was that of Muslim.
We should try to understand that history clings to the ideas reposed in ideologies just because ideologies are a product of history and are known by it.
So if that ideology was ‘so-called’ then why did muslims of India even tried to make their own separate Political party ? and then why they decided to approve themselves as a complete different nation? Please enlighten this whole nation about YOUR so called theory.. and don’t forget to read last speech of Quaid-e-Azam and many others..or maybe you did but you don’t want to mention it here?
Is a problem for you?
