Social media is a platform where anyone can say up to desires. In the recent past there have been a lot of Facebook pages managed by anonymous users to discuss and criticize national issues. A Pakistani social media activist Noman Alam seems to be unique in some way because of his approach and probably he is the first of all Pakistani social media activists who did not opt for a pen name. This is he who operates a page under the name Zouq e Tanqeed which publishes a lot of criticism about Pakistani ISI and its role in the disturbed Baluchistan. According to the writer, some of his work was published in Pakistani newspapers when he started writing, only to be rejected later for its strong criticism of Pakistani ISI and its role in the politics and meddling in the provincial matters. “It was that very moment I started my page Zouq e Tanqeed, to write with full liberty” says Noman Alam. “ In the beginning , my page was blocked by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, I restarted it under another web address, they blocked it again after some time, this is the third time I am using a different address, I want awareness , social, political and secular one, it’s my right to criticize a specific team which is running Pakistan from the backdoors, I was threatened many times, but this time I can see and feel they are really active against people like me “ , Noman Alam added. His blog has a good followership, discussed by MEMRI.ORG a website focusing the social changes in the western Asia and Middle East.
