PML-N leader and supporters bulldoze a Church

 

 

Christians say that “in Punjab, since the Muslim League Nawaz has been in power, violence and persecution against Christians has increased significantly.”

Lahore:  Hundreds of Christians protestors block Raiwind-Lahore Road when staged protest in front of Chief Minister Punjab Farmhouse in Raiwind on bulldozing a Church was bulldozed by an influential Muslim[leagues] to grab Church land on November 15, 2010.

The “King of Kings” Church in Sardar Town near Bhobatian, in Raiwind district of Punjab is situated in a kilometer distance from Farmhouse of former premier of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif both brothers and leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group.

According to Pastor Sarwar who is minister in charge of King of Kings Church told PCP that 8 Muslims came with bulldozer and vandalized Church. The Muslim[leagues]desecrated Holy Bibles, Hymn Books and other Church material and bulldozed it.

One Muslim name Nana Bhatti, have been planning to grab Church land and was threatening Christians and Pastor Sarwar from months to leave the Church property.

Nana Bhatti, came along with other 7 Muslims equipped with firearms on night of November 14, 2010 and bulldozed King of Kings Church.

The sources told PCP that Nana Bhatti is leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML(N) and have support of Mian Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab, who have many acres Farmhouse in Raiwind where elites of PML(N) hold regular meetings and many foreign mission representatives and diplomats come to visit them.

Pastor Zafar Masih filed a complaint and First Information Report FIR Number 1073/10 U/S 295/A, 148/149, 337 H2/506 was registered against Mohammad Nana Bhatti and 7 others in Chung Police Station.

When PCP contacted SHO Chung Police Station Mohammad Afzal Sindhu, he not picked up phone to comment while Christian congregates of King of Kings Church confirmed that non of accused Muslim have been arrested up till filing of this story.
Rev.Stephen Rotny from England was also speaker in King of Kings Church in a convention attended by hundreds in 2009.
Mr. Khalid Gill, Chairman of Christian Lawyers Federation CLF have demanded arrest the accused Muslims and to protect Christians of Sardar Town from any feared violence by Muslims.
CLF Chairman also demanded government of Punjab to build the demolished/bulldozed building of church “King of Kings”
