It is interesting (as well as a pity) to see that Geo News TV is a leader in sensationalism and lopsided reporting in Pakistan, and that most other TV channels uncritically imitate Geo TV’s unethical and unprofessional practices in order to improve their ratings.
very interesting piece.These propaganda channels might have thrived in Nazi Germany but people of pakistan knoooooow them for what they are as this article proves precisely.
But it is our misfortune that our people have to suffer them to this extent because PPP governments committment to freedom.But this committment to freedom is distinguishing feature between a fascist and a democrat.A democrat would not stifle an opinion but a fascist does not like differece of opinion.These journalists have supported anti- public causes since Pakistan came into being whether it was Martial Laws or religious bigotry.But People of Pakistan kept electing progressive political parties.What did these journalists achieve?A comfortable life out of pact with devil.But a life, devoid of nobility,a life empty of truth, a life without freedom and above all life of a prostitute who would get no pleasure in business of selling pleasure.Well done URFI,you are doing a fine job of exposing them.

Most of our media channels are sponsored. As we watch everyday that they sing the song of those who are able to pay their fee. Today the opposition and establishment very cunningly running our private media channels according to their whims. A sponsored media has no limits, it has no agenda, and national interests are no mean for such a media. The great example of such a media in Pakistan is Geo and Jang group.
It is a test case, I challenge if you want writers, anchors and reporters of this group to write in your favor, just go and pay their rate, then see how this channel goes in praising you and smash your opponents. Same is going in Pakistan today. At present this channel is being funded by establishment and pro-establishment party. The anchors and reporters of this group deem themselves as if they are king maker. For them public opinion and mandate is of no meant.

I’m really impressed, reaserch, anlysis to boht zabrdast hae…Urdu language ka istamal bhi boht shandar andaz mein hoa hae…is mein aik bade media group ko aina dekhane ke sath sath media ki awami zemadari ka ahsah zinda kerne ki qabil e tehsin koshish bhi hoi hae…omed hae ye article humare media mein badhe hoe samaj ke thekedarion ki ankhion ke sath sath dil tak pohanchane wale rastion ko bhi khole ga, aur awam aur media ka phir se rishta bahal ho ga…Urfi Stay Blessed

it is very interesting artical you have to power of writing.but if you use urdu terminalogy against unnessisory english wording you artical can be more effective.geo and all other papular media are always working under guidline of multinational companies and agencies but ppp leadership have think about that why public belive on geo [propaganda]
