After enduring twin suicide blasts, the 130 year old historic Church, was reopened for worship on Tuesday 24th of September 2013, after repairs and cleaning. Earlier on Sunday 22nd of September 2013, twin suicide blasts killed more than 80 people and injured up to 150 others.

As a minimum 67 victims were later discharged from the LadyReadingHospital after their condition was affirmed stable by doctors. The attack on All Saints Church in the north western city of Peshawar after a service on Sunday is believed to be the deadliest ever to target the country’s Christian minority. Police arrested 6 suspects involved in Peshawar church attack on Tuesday. Christians demonstrated in towns and cities across Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar, demanding better protection from authorities.

The All Saints’ Church was built in 1883, located inside the Kohati Gate of the old walled north western city of Pakistan and is a parish of the Church of Pakistan. It is only one of its kinds in terms of its architecture when it comes to Churches in Pakistan bearing a surprising resemblance to an Islamic saracenic mosque with minarets and a dome.
