The grandest of all goof-ups OR going according to plan – by Yin & Yang
The grandest of all goof-ups around the corner.
1. The Govt has acknowledged the TTP as a force and has ‘offered’ talks from a position of weakness
2. The TTP does not consider a democratic setup legit. They have their own twisted vision so ideologies (at least on the face of it) are poles apart.
3. They will regroup and unleash another wave of terror……not that they’ve quite stopped. PML-N: Be careful what you wish for. No more hiding in Punjab while these barbarians rip apart the country! PTI: You are a baby in politics and a stupid one at that if you think you can rope these guys in!
Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq, chairman of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), set aside the notion that the party had approached Maulana Samiul Haq, chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. According to him, it was Maulana Sami himself who took the initiative.
“An offer came from Maulana Sami indicating that he is willing to play the role of the go-between if PML-N decides to enter into dialogue with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP),” said Zafarul Haq.
Seemingly, Maulana Sami told PML-N that the TTP members consider him to be a godfather of sorts, as a number of them have studied at his madrassa, Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora, near Nowsherahttp://tribune.com.pk/story/555871/forging-peace-pml-n-pti-hold-off-on-peace-talks-with-the-taliban/
Yang:
It is a goof-up only if the end – a Taliban takeover of Pakistan – is not the intended goal of the parties that the electorate has voted in. Otherwise, everything is going according to plan.
