Imran Khan’s PTI concerned over PML-N’s nexus with banned Takfiri outfit ASWJ-LeJ – The News

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesman on Friday expressed his party’s grave concerns over the media reports of seat adjustments between the PML-N and the banned Takfiri outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP aka LeJ currently operating as Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat ASWJ).
A statement issued by the media centre noted that the reports suggested how opportunist politicians were legitimizing the killing of thousands of innocent people for ‘petty political gains’ and that the Sharifs were hell-bent on going to any limit to grab power.
A media report claimed that the ASWJ (previously the SSP/LeJ) had confirmed that following extensive discussions, the two parties had agreed to have seat adjustments in the general election on at least 15 seats of the National Assembly from South Punjab, where they would not field candidates against each other.
The PTI spokesman said the report had established the close nexus between the PML-N and the banned outfits for which the national media, academia, scholars and civil society had long been raising finger at the Punjab government.
“The people of Pakistan still remember the public statement of Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif made soon after successive terror attacks in Lahore, requesting the Taliban not to target his government, as the PML-N and Taliban had the same ideology,” said the PTI spokesman, adding that the PML-N leader’s statement had jeopardized the lives of people across Pakistan.
He said the people of Punjab still remember how the Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had taken the SSP leaders on his vehicles and attended its rallies. He said it was also an open secret how the media reports had claimed that the family of another SSP leader had been given state stipend, who had been ordered by a court to be hanged 98 times.
The spokesman also referred to the recent report of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) submitted to the Supreme Court, stating that the explosives used in Kairani Road bomb blast and Alamdar Road blasts (Quetta) had been transported from the Punjab and the same were not blocked by the Punjab government.
The PTI spokesman said more intriguing was the fact that the PML-N never disassociated itself from extremist organizations, rather its leadership, especially the Punjab law minister, always took pride in telling the media that he had strong relations with the banned outfit leaders as the outfits had thousands of votes in each and every constituency and the same could not be ignored politically.
“Moreover, neither the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif nor the Punjab Shahbaz Sharif chief minister condemned the claim of Quetta attacks by Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in which hundreds of innocent people lost their lives,” he added.

PML-N and ASWJ nexus is the natural phenomenon because both are the product of ZIA nursery.
I wonder why every one shout against it when the tree has started producing its fruits and the nations takes the taste on every day in the form of bomb blast, suicide attacks, identity assassination etc.
Most of the terrorists groups and constant sources of terrorism are based in Punjab. It is quite obvious that a political class is secretly subscribed to the fundamentalist religious ideology and did not take a clear stance against the Taliban’s terrorist activities in the country for expedient reasons. But we did not know that the central leader of one of Pakistan’s major political parties would spill the beans of his party’s pusillanimity in such a clumsy manner. However, the citizens are so fed up with the Taliban that the reluctance of the Punjab government to take action against the jihadi outfits in Punjab is likely to cost the PML-Ndearly. This attitude of PML-N is simply hampering the Govt’s attempts to counter monster of terrorism. Similarly it is par with the betrayal from the blood of those who rendered their lives in this war of survival.
