#ShiaGenocide: African American Muslims express solidarity with Quetta victims – by Ali Taj
On 18 February 2013, African American Muslims of Shia and Sunni sects demonstrated in Los Angeles to condemn Shia genocide taking place in Pakistan at the hands of Saudi-sponsored Al Qaeda affiliated Deobandi militants (ASWJ-LeJ). The protest was led by Sheikh Mujahid Abdul Kareem, a convert to Islam and the founder of Masjid Al Rasool in the Watts area of of Los Angeles (LA). Sheikh Mujahid was been instrumental in making the truce between the Bloods and the Crips the notorious gangs LA.
The Watts area of LA is where the famous civil rights riots of 1965 took place. It is the home of the black movement in United State. The history of oppression and crimes against the African Americans as well as Native American is well known and document. Today the true Islamic message of Hussain a.s. and Karbala resonates in these very poor and oppressed neighborhoods. It is the beating heat of the Black movement and Black culture in LA.
World Shia Forum wishes to thank the good people of Masjid e Rasool and the Black Panther Party for showing solidarity with the innocent victims of Quetta blasts at the hands of the Takfiri Deobandi (Salafist/Wahhabbi inspired) militants.
It does not matter whether you are Sunni or Shia Muslim, Christian, Jew or atheist, you must stand together for humanity and against oppression, this is the true message of Karbala. Slowly the African American people are finding solace in the message of true Islam.
