Sui gas employees protest
Sui gas employees are protesting across the country against the torture of a special task force of the Sui Northern gas company.According to media reports Sui gas employees were detained and tortured by Senior PML-N leader Rana Tanveer.
PML-N has a urban vote bank in punjab unlike PPP and PML-Q in punjab . One expect a civilized behaviour from our urban politicians.
Sui Gas employees across the country are protesting against the torture of a special task force of the gas supplier, at the hands of the employees of a private factory in Lahore.
The Sui Gas company formed a special task force to nab the people responsible for stealing the natural gas supplied by the company.
The task force severed an illegal gas connection of a private factory at Sheikhupura. The owner of the factory and former MNA Rana Tanveer forcefully detained the Sui Gas task force and had them beaten up.
Employees of Sui Gas in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Peshawar, Lahore, Multan, Rahimyar Khan, and other areas in the country rallied on roads with placards and banners.
They demanded that the Punjab chief minister to take action against the people responsible for attacking the task force.
SNGPL employees protest colleagues’ manhandling

TAXILA, July 9: The employees of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) on Thursday held a protest demonstration against manhandling of their colleagues by the staff of a mill during checking of alleged gas theft.
Holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the management of the factory, the protesters blocked the G.T. Road near New City for over half an hour.
Speaking on the occasion, the representatives of the SNGPL workers condemned the manhandling of their 16 colleagues by the staff of the mill.
They said the police had not registered an FIR of the incident despite passage of two days. “We will continue our protest till the registration of the case against the accused,” they said.
According to Yasir Arafat, a local leader of Sui Gas Employees Union, the company has started a campaign against gas theft. He said a team during checking of different industrial units at Sheikupura road found the mill involved in gas theft. When members of the raiding team tried to disconnect the connection, the staff of the mill attacked and injured them. As a result, the SNGPL employees were hospitalised
