There at least three things to celebrate in the most recent statement of the Quaid of Pakistan Muslim League (N), Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif:
1. Ahmadis are our brothers and sisters; they are citizens of Pakistan; it is government’s responsibility to ensure Ahmadis’ security (against terrorism).
2. It is an insult of the Pakistani people to speak ill against the elected parliament.
3. It is the nations, not the governments who have to fight the war against terrorism. Terrorists have neither religion nor state. Nation and institutions are united in war against terrorism.
Thank you, Mian sahib, for being brave enough to reflect the true sentiments of the Pakistani people, and freeing yourself from the chains of the Maududiat and Zia-iat.
