Nawaz vows to thwart terrorists’ evil designs

Chief of its own faction Pakistan Muslim League (N) Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that nations and not government fight against the menace of terrorism and stressed for action against terrorists, adding that the country is passing through a difficult phase. Talking to media after expressing condolence of the father of Dr Saeed Elahi here, Nawaz pledged to thwart the evil designs of terrorists. The government and the people have to join hands to fight against terrorism, he added. The PML-N leader regretted over recent attacks on the worship places of Qadianis and said ‘Qadianis are our brothers and sisters’. He urged the chief minister of Punjab to accord foremost priority to elimination of terrorism from the province.

Pakistan Muslim League – N chief, Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that it is the nations, not the governments who have to fight the war against terrorism.

Sharif urged the federal government to remove the flaws in the war against terrorism.

“Terrorists have neither religion nor state. Nation and institutions are united in war against terrorism,” he added.

Answering a question he said that Ahmedis are also citizens of Pakistan. He said that talking against the Parliament was insult to the Parliament as well as the nation itself.

Speaking about the budget, Sharif said that the government has so far been unable to eliminate the problems of the common man. He said that the budget must help solve the problems of the poverty-stricken people.

Well i think Nawaz Sharif is not at all being brave here. Not long ago he was the man who spoke ill of the parliament by calling it a rubber stamp and it was he who insulted the people of Pakistan by calling Asif Zardari and the present government as a threat to democracy.

We can forgive but we do not forget Mian Sahab.

If only he would follow through on his words;

Amazingly, when the provincial authorities should have been dealing with the militants, who were nabbed alive during the commando operation on the Garhi Sahu and Model Town mosques, with force, they are busy in facilitating the demands of the terror mongers.

According to reports, one of the injured terrorists was allowed to use his cell phone in the hospital and the authorities even arranged a meeting between him and his family members.

There is no denying that PMLN is the political wing of the terrorists in Pakistan. It’s futile to expect any serious action against terrorists from this government.

Nawaz Sharif is an opportunist industrialist turned politician. His statements are not based on wisdom and have no insight. They are merely to gain cheap popularity or to cool down a situation when there’s no other way left. His recent statements are self contradictory.

1. It has almost been 10 days since the terrorists attacked Ahmadi mosques killing more than 90 people, and he is coming up with a statement now? Was he even ethical enough to visit the Jinnah Hospital to see the wounded? Has Punjab Government announced any compensation for the Ahmadi Martyrs?

2. It was Nawaz Sharif who called Asif Zardari the biggest threat to democracy a few days back. Listen to his speeches after Governor rule was imposed in March last Year. Listen to his words when he was leading the ‘long’ March of 1500 PML-N PTI and JI fanatics. Listen to chaudry Nisar’s speech in the NA when the not so Sharifs were disqualified by the Supreme Court. It was the same Nawaz Sharif who then labeled the NA as redundant and rubber stamp.

According to latest news, the Mullahs have reacted strongly to Nawaz Sharif;s statement. We must support him in this regard to encourage him keep following this path.

NS must be encouraged for his bold statement. realistically extremism can’t be countered effectively without his support in punjab.

NS trying to dispel the impression that PMLN enjoys good relationship with banned extremist organizations in Punjab..Any how it’s really positive statement and good development and credit goes to Let Us Build Pakistan and other young liberal democratic voices.

The Punjab government does not appear to be convinced that many Islamic hardline groups and their breakaway factions based in Punjab have developed strong linkages with the Taliban based in the tribal areas. The mindset of the PMLN leadership and sympathy for Islamic hardline groups at a societal level gives the militants enough space to sustain themselves and flourish. This is partly because of fear of retribution by militant groups and partly because they are not convinced that violent attacks are committed by these groups, including the Taliban. The confusion and ambiguity about militant groups and their terrorist activities can be reduced if the leaders of major political parties, especially the PML-N, decide to launch a campaign against those engaging in terrorism, irrespective of their nomenclature and place of origin.. If PML- N prefers partisan political considerations or narrow religious agendas, the menace of extremism and terrorism cannot be controlled only by the military and police action therefore Punjab Government must fully own counter-terrorism efforts.

Ahmedis are an asset to our country; they are are brothers and sisters! All leading democratic parties should show solidarity with our countrymen of the Ahmedi sect.

At least the victim of “Heavy Mandate” has spoken – better late than never. He seems to be picking up the difficult habit of reading newspapers but is very slow. He has reached last week’s newspapers now to know what happened in Lahore
on May 28. But those who remember his past performance in his uncompleted two terms will hardly believe him. With the self-styled Mujahiddin Khattam-e-Nabbuwat, I mean Rafiq Tarrar and Zaheer brothers still hanging around his neck like the proverbial albatross, his comments smell.

Rascal mullahs of Pakistan are destablizing the country. These are the same bastrads who were agaisnt the creation of Pakistan. Pakistan govt should put all its mullahs in a ship and sink the ship in Indian Ocean.

I am pleased that former Prime Minister of Pakistan and real brother of present Chief Minister of Punjab has condemnd the Ahmediyya attack in Lahore and called Ahmedi’s as brothers and sisters.But I hope this is not just a political statement.Surely humanity is to treat all persons alike.I wish all people of this world understand this and I assure that peace will prevail all round.

i believe Nawaz Sharif gave a very important statement. State should “own “every Citizen , no matter watever religious orientation one has. I think Nawaz Sharif is very sure abt how to take this country farwad, i mean his stance on few very important issues for pakistan is very impressive and very dynamic. He is serious politician, lot of people and even his competitors project him a “Bewaqoof”. i think that projection actually help him a alot, people take him as a Very “saada” person , and in our society its a positive tag. People see him as a pro-religious politician, he grab all the votes of those people , but he does wat is important for country. most see him as anti-west, but he believes in serious relationship with America. People see him as a person who take the decision to test Nuclear to answer india, yes he dont that, but i think in Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif is THE top pro-indian politician. As a nation, Pakistan must have good relationship with india , we do need religious harmony to keep the unity among people.he is aware of these things, while keeps his already projected status among people.

My dear brothers and sisters,
Please never ever compromise on your believes because Believe is a greatest and biggest wealth one Muslim can have. All other things are less important. I believe on humanity but do remember that humanity is a mandatory and essential requirement of Muslim. Never make yourself fool with every Tom and Jerry analyst who says that ‘we should spread humanity and humanity is the only thing which helps us to live together peacefully etc etc’. I believe on humanity at most because no Muslim can be Muslim unless he is human and care about other human being but at the same time being a Muslim I do believe on almighty Allah and his last messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him). My believe does not permit me to say that non-believers are my brothers and sisters. Yes they are Pakistanis as other minorities and deserve all basic rights as we have including security.

In the last but not the least, please please open your eyes see the activities of our open enemies America, Israel, India and many of their proxies. When I hear our government and media I really think that mosad, raw, cia are no more exists.
We have enemies no threat from ‘fundamentalist and extremist’ Muslims but so called ‘moderate Muslim, analyst and scholars’ who are trying to teach us a new version of ISLAM.

صبر ، انتظار اور ارادہ…سویرے سویرے…نذیر ناجی

جب بگڑنے کے لئے کچھ نہ رہے‘ تو بننے کے راستے نکلنے لگتے ہیں۔ خرابیوں کے اس ہنگام میں بہتری کے آثار ظاہر ہونے لگے ہیں۔ ابتدا میڈیا اور عدلیہ سے ہو رہی ہے۔ بڑی خاموشی لیکن تیزرفتاری سے رائے عامہ تشکیل پا رہی ہے۔ ابھی تک بڑے سیاسی اور سماجی مفادات اور اقتدار کے مراکز راستوں کی رکاوٹ ہیں۔ مگر لگتا ہے کہ وقت ان رکاوٹوں کو دور کرتا ہوا‘ اپنی سمت میں آگے بڑھنے کا سلسلہ جاری رکھے گا اور ایک دن سارے بڑے بڑے مفادات‘ قوت مزاحمت سے محروم ہونے لگیں گے۔ پاکستان میں تبدیلی کے عوامل کا آسان ہدف‘ ہمیشہ کمزور طبقے رہے ہیں اور پاکستان میں پاور سٹرکچر کے اندر سب سے کمزور طبقہ سیاستدانوں کا ہے۔ انگریز کا چھوڑا ہوا ریاستی نظام تیار ہی ایسے طریقے سے کیا گیا تھا کہ اس میں سیاسی ادارے حاوی نہ ہو سکیں۔ بظاہر وہ حکومت کے اندرنظر آئیں لیکن حکومت چلانے والے اداروں کا کنٹرو ل ان کے پاس نہ جائے۔ ڈاکٹر مبشرحسن ہمیشہ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ وزیربظاہر آپ کو اقتدار میں نظر آئیں گے لیکن حقیقت میں اقتدار کے ڈھانچے میں یہ باہر کے لوگ ہوتے ہیں۔ اپنے دستخطوں سے ایک چپڑاسی بھی بھرتی نہیں کر سکتے۔ کسی حکم نامے پر دستخط کرنے کا اختیار ان کے پاس نہیں ہوتا۔ یہ ہمیشہ اپنے سیکرٹری اور محکمے کے عملے کو حکم دے سکتے ہیں۔ احکامات جاری کرنے کا اختیار افسروں کے پاس ہوتا ہے۔ وزیرصرف سفارش کرتا ہے۔ افسر چاہے تو اس پر عمل درآمد کر دے‘ ورنہ وہ ضابطے کا کوئی نہ کوئی اعتراض نکال کر وزیرصاحب کے حکم کو فائلوں کے ڈھیر میں پھینک سکتا ہے۔
ریاستی طاقت رکھنے والے مفادات اتنے مضبوط اور حاوی ہوتے ہیں کہ برسراقتدار آئی ہوئی جماعتیں بھی ان پر ضرب نہیں لگا سکتیں۔ بھٹو صاحب نے اس کا حوصلہ کیا تھا ‘ مگر انہیں ایسے عبرتناک انجام سے دوچار کیا گیا کہ اب کوئی سیاستدان طاقت کے مراکز پر ہاتھ ڈالتے ہوئے سوبار سوچتار ہے۔ نوازشریف ایک ایسے لیڈر ہیں‘ جنہوں نے جرات رندانہ سے کام لیتے ہوئے جنرلوں اور ججوں کو سیاسی طاقت کے ماتحت لانے کی کوشش کی ۔ لیکن جوابی کارروائی کے طور پر ان کے ساتھ جو کچھ کیا جانے والا تھا‘ اس میں اگر امریکہ اور سعودی عرب مداخلت نہ کرتے‘ تو وہ دوسرا نشان عبرت بن چکے ہوتے۔ یہ پاکستان کی خوش نصیبی تھی کہ وہ دوسرا بڑا سیاستدان‘ جو طاقت کے مراکز کو عوامی قوتوں کے ماتحت لانے کا خواہش مند ہے ‘ زندہ سلامت رہ گیا اور آج وہ اس تاریخی جنگ کی قیادت کر رہا ہے‘ جس کا فیصلہ ایک مدت سے موخر ہوتا آ رہا ہے اور جسے بہرحال ایک دن ہونا ہے۔ اپنے سیاسی تعصبات اور تصورات کو علیحدہ رکھ کر پاکستانی سیاست کے موجودہ منظر نامے میں اگر کوئی سیاسی طاقت عوامی قوت کی بالادستی کے لئے کام کر رہی ہے‘ تو اس کی قیادت بلاشبہ نوازشریف کر رہے ہیں۔ میں کبھی کبھی سوچتا ہوں کہ پیپلزپارٹی اور نوازشریف کی تقدیر ایک ہے۔ اقتدار اور سیاست کی کش مکش اپنی جگہ لیکن عوام کی بالادستی کے لئے جس تاریخی جنگ کو ہماری سرزمین پر برپا ہونا ہے‘ وہ جنگ ان دونوں جماعتوں کو اکٹھے لڑنا پڑے گی۔ ذاتی جذبات اور تصورات یقینا انہیں بہر باہم برسرپیکار رکھیں گے۔ لیکن حقیقی جنگ میں انہیں ایک دوسرے کا مددگار بننا پڑے گا۔ میں تو ایسا ہوتے ہوئے دیکھ بھی رہا ہوں۔ سیاسی طور پہ ان دونوں جماعتوں کی قیادتیں باہم دست و گریباں نظر آتی ہیں۔ لیکن جب جمہوریت کو خطرہ لاحق ہوتا ہے‘ تو صدر زرداری سے زیادہ آگے بڑھ کر نوازشریف غیرجمہوری طاقتوں کے سامنے ڈٹ جاتے ہیں۔ پچھلے اڑھائی سال کے عرصے کو گہرائی کی نظر سے دیکھا جائے‘ تو جمہوریت کے بچاؤ کے لئے یہ دو لیڈر ہر آزمائش کے موقع پر ایک ساتھ کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں اور مجھے یقین ہے کہ تاریخ کا جبر انہیں جمہوریت کے بچاؤ کے لئے ایک دوسرے کا مددگار بننے پر مجبور کرے گا۔
ابھی طاقت کے اصل مراکز پر کوئی صحیح اور موثر ضرب نہیں لگائی جا سکی۔ چند ابتدائی علامتیں اور نشانیاں ظاہر ہونے لگی ہیں۔ مجھے یہ لکھتے ہوئے خوشی محسوس ہو رہی ہے کہ پیش عملی کرنے والوں میں میڈیا سب سے آگے ہے۔ کسی کو بے شک یہ خیال ہو کہ جمہوریت کی طرف پیش قدمی میں ووٹوں کا کوئی دخل نہیں لیکن یہ کہنا تاریخی عمل سے بے خبری کے مترادف ہے۔ فیصلے ہمیشہ عوامی طاقت ہی کیا کرتی ہے۔ وکلا کی تحریک اس لئے موثر تھی کہ اس کے پیچھے میڈیا اور عوام کھڑے تھے۔ صرف چند ہزار وکلا کے جلوس اتنی بڑی تبدیلی نہیں لا سکتے تھے۔ ججوں کے پیچھے بھی عوام ہی کی طاقت کھڑی ہے۔ وہی عدلیہ‘ جس کے فیصلے کسی زمانے میں طاقت کے مضبوط مراکز اٹھا کر پھینک دیتے تھے۔ آج اگر اقتدار کے ایوانوں میں اس کے فیصلوں سے لرزشیں پیدا ہو رہی ہیں۔ اس کی وجہ عوام کی طاقت ہے۔ مسلم لیگ (ن) کی قیادت آگے بڑھ کر اس طاقت میں اضافہ کرتی ہے اور پیپلزپارٹی کی قیادت قانون کے سامنے سر جھکا کر تاریخ کے عمل کوآگے بڑھاتی ہے۔ عدالتی فیصلوں کے سامنے حکومت کی طرف سے جس مزاحمت کا تاثر پیدا ہوتا ہے‘ درحقیقت وہ حکومت کی مزاحمت نہیں‘ سسٹم کی مزاحمت ہے۔ سسٹم جہاں تک طاقت رکھتا ہے‘ مزاحمت کرتا آ رہا ہے۔ مگر جب حکومت اس مزاحمت میں شریک ہونے سے گریز کرتی ہے‘ تو عدالتی فیصلے موثر ہونے لگتے ہیں۔ اس وقت ہم اسی کشمکش سے گزر رہے ہیں۔ ایک طرف سیاسی طاقتیں ہیں‘ جو عوامی قوت کو آگے بڑھانے میں جانے بوجھے بغیر یا شاید سوچ سمجھ کر‘ ایک دوسرے سے تعاون کر رہی ہیں اور دوسری طرف عوام‘ میڈیا اور عدلیہ کے دباؤ میں آئے ہوئے سیاسی مراکز‘ اپنے تحفظ کی جنگ لڑ رہے ہیں۔ ایسی فیصلہ کن جنگیں بہت خونریز ہوتی ہیں۔ یہ انقلابات سے کم کسی تبدیلی کی اجازت نہیں دیتیں۔ وہ معاشرے بہت خوش قسمت ہوتے ہیں‘ جہاں تبدیلی کا عمل پرامن راہوں کی طرف چل پڑے۔ میں اپنی قوم کو خوش قسمت سمجھتا ہوں کہ یہاں تشدد کے تمام امکانات ہونے کے باوجود‘ تبدیلی کا عمل آئینی اور پرامن راستہ اختیار کرتا ہوا نظر آتا ہے۔ طاقت کے مراکز کو تاریخ کے ساتھ صحیح رخ پر چلنے کی سمجھ آ جائے‘ تو اس میں وہ بھی خسارے سے بچ سکیں گے اور معاشرہ بھی تباہی کے دھاروں سے گزرے بغیر‘ اعتدال کی منزل تک پہنچ سکے گا۔ ایسا ہوا نہیں کرتا۔ یہ میری خواہش ہے۔
فی الحال طاقت کے مراکز‘ تاریخی پیش قدمی کو حکمت‘ تدبیر اور چالاکی سے روکنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ وہ اس وقت تک ایسا کرتے رہیں گے‘ جب تک ان کی ریڑھ کی ہڈی چوٹ سے محفوظ رہے گی۔ ایسا شاید ہی کبھی ہوا ہو کہ مقتدر طاقتوں کی ریڑھ کی ہڈی پر چوٹ پڑے اور وہ پلٹ کر حملہ آور نہ ہوں۔ یہ آگے بڑھتی ہوئی عوامی طاقت کی قیادت کرنے والوں کے فہم و فراست پر منحصر ہے کہ وہ اپنی کامیابی کو جوابی مزاحمت کی راہوں سے بچاتے ہوئے پیش قدمی کرتے رہیں اور ایسے ہر موڑ سے بچ کر نکل جائیں‘ جہاں مزاحمت کا اندیشہ ہو۔ اسی طرح عدلیہ اور میڈیا کو بھی پیش قدمی کرتے ہوئے اشتعال اورٹکراؤ کی حالتوں سے گریز کرنا چاہیے۔ تمام عوامی طاقتوں کو ابھی صرف اخلاقی برتری حاصل ہے۔ ٹھوس طاقت اس کے ہاتھ میں نہیں آئی۔ بندوقیں‘ جبر کے قوانین‘ لاقانونیت پر مبنی ہتھیار‘ دولت اور اثر و رسوخ کی طاقت‘ سب اسی طرح محفوظ ہیں۔ انہیں دیمک کی طرح کھوکھلا کرنا پڑے گا اور ایسا ہو سکتا ہے۔ میرا تو خیال ہے کہ ہونے بھی لگا ہے۔ مگر انتظار‘ صبر اور ارادہ ‘ یہی عوام کی طاقت ہیں اور اسی کو غالب آنا ہے۔
