Dilemma of our Shiites brothers in Pakistan
Shiites comprise of about 17-25% of Pakistani population and have an immense role in shaping our religion, society, economy and politics for centuries. They have always been a vital source of inspiration of love, harmony , mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. They have been part and parcel of our national society through thick and thin of our times. They have served our great nation in all fields. They played a pivotal role in defeating an Imperialist Empire and the creation of Pakistan. Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalander who is consider as our national patron Saint is a prime example of indigenous, diverse and pluralistic saint who is not just holy and sacred to Shiites but to all other sects and faiths. I some times feel that if Shiites would not have been here we would have been a stagnant and unipolar society.
Shiites are distributed almost all across the Pakistan and don’t have any specific geographic, ethnic or cultural boundaries with in Pakistan. We can see Shiites who are ethnically Pakhtun, Sindhi, Punjabi and Bloch.
Shiites are also the most persecuted population of Pakistan. They have suffered more human loss than any body else In Pakistan. I feel that Shiites had more people killed on religious grounds than all others combine together. The attacks on Shiites have sharply risen since 1985 when Sipah-e-Sahabah [whom I call Sipah-e-yazid] was created by the establishment. We saw the worst attack on Shiites in late 1980s and beyond. Its worth mentioning that Lashker-e-Jhangvi and Jaish-e-Mohammad are the off shoot of SSP.
I remember 1990s when Shiite intellectuals, doctors, Lawyers, businessmen and religious scholars were targeted and ruthlessly killed by the SSP terrorists. Their Majlises, Imam Bargahs’ and processions were bombed. Even today Shiites in parachnar are under Siege, in the same way as the people of Gaza.
When we look into the politics of the Shiites leadership we realise that they have utterly failed to comprehend and grab hold of the politics of Pakistan. Shiites generally vote en block in elections and we all can imagine that 15-20% votes going on either side en block can make a huge difference. But they never used it tactically and their leaders had made fatal mistakes politically. Because of confusion of their leadership their youth has also become so confused that they had no idea which side of the argument they stand. They oppose the militancy by the Taliban and jehadi outfits in Pakistan but in a same breath they support the militancy by the Hezbollah.
They oppose Bin Laden and Mullah Omer but support Mr Nasrullah. I feel that they have not been able to come out of the religious bindings yet. I was surprised to see that ISO [Imamia Student Organization] was protesting against attack on Turkish Flotilla but they had criminal silence when Ahmedies were attacked by the same forces who are worst enemies of the Shiites.
Their leadership has aways played in the hands of the rightists [the religo-political establishment] they supported PML in 1990s against PPP and then been part of MMA. They legitimised General Musharraf , by the way who also had support of Azam tariq [then SSP head] as well. They are so confused that they oppose US and its drone attack on Abu-Yazid and also oppose the Taliban.
To my surprise they simultaneously were protesting for Taliban [ie Afia Siddique, Lal masjid] and against Taliban. They were against Taliban but were sitting with MMA [the mentors of Taliban]. They have supported PML, religious organizations and establishment who are the soul creators and mentors of the forces which were and are worst enemies of the Shiites. They don’t have a consistent and unified stand against terrorism. So in a way the message which we get from their leadership is that; terrorism is crime if its against Shiites but is ok if its against Jews, Ahmedies, Baha’ies, Americans and the Sunnis. Which is wrong totally and utterly wrong.
I think they will have to come out of this denial and stand with the people who stand for their rights not with the bloody forces who are solely responsible for the atrocities commentated on the Shiites. Its a difficult road/journey but then the Shiites will have to realise that terrorism is wrong no matter its committed against Shiites, Ahmadis, Jews, American, Baha’ies, Sunnis or anybody . They will have to join the forces which stand for equality of human irrespective of caste creed and religion. They simply cannot continue sitting with the religo-political establishment of Pakistan and keep crying that they are being oppressed and persecuted.

Dr Khawaja Muhammad Awais Khalil
Please change the words Shiites and “Their” leadership to = TNFJ or ISO, because you are giving the impression that all Shia’s endorse these organizations? That is completely wrong!
Unfortunately Shia too donot stand for secularism. Although I stand with our Shia fellow countrymen for their rights unconditionally but I know as majority and specially the front-runners of Shia community too,
1. Support the theocracy but with their version and their explanation/interpretation
2. Will not criticise the Shia theocracy for Iran for its crulity against Sunnies, Progressives and Minority ethnic Balochs
We will suffer as long as we are not very clear that, oppression is wrong no matter who does it, the one from my sect or the opposite.
Brave effort…
I have observed that many of the shia bourgeois youth is also indulged in seeing politics from religious angel and support Iranian theocracy, though the shias in general are much more easier to argue with ( at least you do not feel threatened that they will report you to the nearest mosque). Their hatred for USA is also solely based on their support for Imam Khomeini. But in the article the author is having us believe as if the voting shias really care about TNFJ etc. I suppose most of them vote for PPP and infact PPP is often blamed by sunni extremists to be a Shia party .
The other day I was talking to a shia colnel and he was telling me how all the bomb blasts are done by Hindus and how the TTP is totally infiltrated by USA, INDIA and ISRAEL. I tried to remind him how the ISI supported jihadis have butchered the shia community and he kind of came out of his delusion for a few minute and told me about the jihadi atrocities against shias ( which he happened to know much more about than myself). But in the end he was back in his confused delusional state, where the LJ, SSP, TTP are bad, but somehow this is all India’s USA’s fault and somehow there are some real jihadists somewhere, who will fight with PAK Army to teach the kuffar a good lesson, forgetting that for all of the jihadists in this region, Shias are the worst kafirs.
@Babar and Ajamal, you both make valid points. The Iranian theocracy has been a cancer and has destroyed a politically, intellectually and cultural diverse community. An increasing number of Shia youth and bourgeoisie support the Iranian theocracy proxies like TJP and ISO.
However, the article is wrong that Shias vote en bloc. The overwhelming Shia votes go to PPP simply because PPP is the most pluralist and federal party in Pakistan as they also find resonance in PPP’s heterogenous and cultural syncretic ethos as well as the fact that BB and ZAB shahadats find resonance amongst the Shia who love their Imams (the family of the Holy Prophet) for not giving in to the oppression by the tyrancial powers and establishment of their time. Nonetheless, the Khomeini cancer is spreading and the self appointed Shia leadership (as 99.9% of Shias vote for relatively secular parties like PPP, MQM) is completely beholden to the establishment and working overtime to create confusion amongst the various diverse Shia communities.
@ Ali Abbas, totally agree with you. The shia vote as well as other minority vote go to PPP as it is the most plural party in its outlook ( nevermind what it actually has been able to do for minorities) and because the rest of the leagues and jamats and tahreeks etc. just can not be trusted by anyone from any kind of minority. While living abroad, I found that the Iranian shias in general , even the religious ones, are very much against the theocracy in Iran, quite opposite to what I observed in Pakistani shia community. This seems to be the reaction among the Pakistani shia to the rise of religious extremism in sunni community. Perhaps they think they need to keep up with the pace of the other community.
Mostly Shia votes for secular parties but after “Irani Inqilab ” The religion and politics got mixed ,Now a Shia votes for PPP or MQM but also support Shia Taliban like ISO ,Hizbullah ,TNFJ etc .
The author is true in essence because Shiites are facing the dilemma of political dichotomy and diversity of opinion in the national definition of pakistani politics. in my opinion u can not comprehend the sect or religion of Shiites until u go in the very beginning of the church of shia Islam; its not the harmony that led the origin of the sect; it came into existance from the chaotic society of early islam and anarchy of Arab politics when the the “Family of Holy Prophet “was denied of the right which Shiites believe was their right but full bloon shiaism emanates from the Karballa, for centuries the Descendants of Immam Hassan(the elder son of Hazrat Ali) waged the holy war(Jehad) against the userper(the arthodox Arabs) and even won a dynasty in the Africa(the Idrisi Dynasty). they even threatened Almansoor n compelled him to shift the Capital of Islam from Kofa (mostly shiites) to Baghdad( mostly arthodox Sunni) to save the kingdom. one of the offshoots of shiites are ismailis who also won a dynasty in Egypt during the Abbasi caliphate. at that time religion was the only politically legitimate plateform for winning identity or bringing change in the world. islam was divided into three sects at that time when Iran waged the struggle for independace from the Arabs; the orthodox sunni islam patronized by the Arabs, the Kharjites Islam( forcefully compled out of Arabia into Africa by Hajjaj bin Yousaf and Shia islam. by default shia islam became the plateform for shuba;nism(the iranian national moverment for independance). the ismaili sect of shia islam waged the bloodiest war in the islamic world n even killed many Abbasi caliphs, ministers, schollars , poets and scientists n even once they succeeded in creating a “new kaaba” in Yemen n shifted the Black Stone(Hajr e aswad). to make it short the jehad and hatred against the Ommayyads is the backbone of shia islam; no one is considered shia unless he or she believes (Iman) the opression of ommayyads and orthodox arabs including the first three caliphs were wrong entoto and were userpers etc. the belief of shia islam revolves around such stuffs n jehad is always on the front agaist all the infidels n sinfull communities whether USA, Israel, Alqaida, Ahmedis etc. as per the nexus of shia leadership with MMA is concerned it is more of bringing harmony n peace for the shia sect in pakistan because by doing so they believe their lives n property may be saved from the SSP, Lashkar e Jhangvi etc…..
@Dr. Waseem Sarwar Malghani, you are right, it was not harmony that lead to the Shias (originally that tiny minority that supported Maula Ali) go in a different direction. While mainstream muslims are content with an ostrich mentality that it was all hunky dory and there was a golden age, the earlier Shias were kind of upset about such silly things such as war crimes and rapes committed by our celebrated generals against fellow muslims in the “ridda wars”. The Shias were also upset about how a faith was manupilated to set up dynasties and result in continuous civil wars and assasinations that saw three of the first four caliphs killed by muslims. And on a very petty note, the Shias were upset that the Holy Prophet’s daughter was denied her inheritance at Fadak and that the door to her house was burnt down and knocked over by a mob of muslims, resulting in her injury and miscarriage that subsequently lead to her death a few months after her father. To top it off, they have the nerve to be upset about the remaining family of the Prophet being annhilated at Karbala. I tell you, this Shia church should be obliterated for its stupidity because all these wrongs are just not true and muslims rock! Ofcourse, the Abbasiads were smart in this matter and the biannual pogrom against the Shias in Baghdad was such a good way to control the population ….
@Babur, if you study history, the State sponsored action against the Shias in Pakistan started 2 years before the Iranian Revolution. Ali Basti in Karachi was attacked by Ziaist goons in 1978. After Zia imposed Zakat and Ushr, the Shias rose up against him. Furthermore, Iran Post 1980 was aggresively promoting its revolutionn and that made Zia very insecure and coupled with his Pan Islamist and Jamaati views, placed him squarely against the Shias. However, as mentioned earlier, his attack on Shias started earlier. Furthermore, when Zia used the State to infuse the body politic of Pakistan with Wahabism, it made the situation for the Shias even worse as this view considered the Shias as worthy of being killed. As thousands of mosques and madrasses were being built or captured from the relatively more tolerant and mystically included Brehlvis, the hatred against Shias was intensified as the mainstream community was intellectually ill-equipped and allowed itself to be brainwashed during the last 33 years. The genocide of Pushtun Shias in Parachinar and of the Gilgiti Shias started in the early 80’s as these Northern areas provided key transit routes for the “Mujahideen” for their “Jihad” against the Soviets and the Shias were viewed as a security impediment by the Zia establishment. We can see the results of those policies today. You are correct that the support for theocracy in Iran is not so high amongst Iranians and more passionate amongst certain sections of Pakistani Shias. However, there are two aspects to this. The first is the infiltration by Khomeini-inspired Islamists and their Qutbian tactics to confuse the Shias in Pakistan in to belieiving that those who are massacring them are Blackwater/Xe, Mossad and RAW and not state sponsored militias. The other and far more significant factor is the Pakistan mainstream muslim community and its willingness to be brainwashed with medieval and perverted Anti-Shia myths. When even educated and elite Pakistanis have such a bigotted view of minority sectarian groups like the Ahmadis and Shias, what are they supposed to do. Many think of Iran as its protector when the state and civil society failed. This is a false belief by some Pakistani Shias as the theocratic regime in Iran has actually established an Anti-US based understanding with the Salafists in Pakistan and does not care if the later continue to masscre Shias in Pakistan – it can then blame America and Israel as evidenced by those hypocritical and irony-laced protests by Khamenai proxy groups like the ISO.
Criticizing Shia Talibans always turns “religious ”
Lashker-e-Jahgwi Punjabi Taliban killed 100 Shia on Ashura day and people have condemn Taliban openly and their ideology .But no one condemned shias for the shops which was burned by “Shia Taliban ” in burns road .
@Farhan Q In principle your point is valid, i.e. to use same yardstick for all groups, faiths and sects.
There are, however, two important distinctions which deserve further consideration.
1. Taliban must not be equated with Sunnis because the majority of Sunnis reject Taliban and their evil ideology. Similarly, Shia extremists (or if we say ‘Shia Taliban’) must not be equated with Shias because the majority of Shias (at least in Pakistan) do not have a pro-theocracy or pro-violence tendency.
2. Another difference is the consistency of an explicit agenda and a one off incident. Punjabi Taliban have an explicit agenda of violence and hatred against Shias, Barelvis, Ahmadis, Christians etc, and they ‘religiously’ pursue that agenda. ‘Shia Taliban’ do not seem to pursue a consistent agenda to burn shops in burns road or elsewhere or to commit acts of violence against any specific sect or faith.
Having said that, the burning of shops in Karachi was a deplorable act of violence (notwithstanding its context) which deserves unconditional condemnation.
@Farhan Q, yes, destruction of property should be condemned and is not justifiable. However, I just do not agree with your assessment and that of large sections of the media that it was the “Shia Taliban” who burnt down Boulton market (a considerable distance away from Burns Road). Based on my own personal experience and those of scores of eye witness accounts, there is significant security and it would be quite implausible if people were allowed to bring in canisters of phosphorus and industrial size cutters.
And what is the logic of the mourners: if we survive an attack by Sunni Taliban, we will burn the bazaars! How ridiculous. My relatives and co-workers were there when the blast took place. I lost relatives and associates including a distant cousin only 7-years old who died with his father!
The mourners who were actually in the procession continued to carry their alams and facilitate the scores of wounded into ambulances. The procession ended as it always has for nearly a century at Irania Hall in Kharadar.
Who were the guys who were wearing black and immediately and SYSTEMATICALLY using industrial tools to burn down the markets and who were doing so un-hindered as per CCTV footage. Hours after the loss of dozens of lives, nobody was speaking about the Ashura juloos being attacked (with the spread of Wahabism in Pakistan, most muslims are least concerned about Ashura and feel comfortable in following a de-contextualized and de-culturalized Salafist doctrine). They were all talking about the ALLEGED billions of ruppees damage to the markets; wild estimates that have since been considerably revised downwards.
After every grievious attack on Shias in Pakistan, it is Shia youth who are rounded up and Sunni Jihadi militants who are escorted to safe houses to lie low till the the next carnage. In some instances, the high emotions have lead to Shia youth attacking property. However, this instance was very different. The destruction was very systematic and pre-planned even to the most casual observer. If Shia youth are eventually found gulity, then the question of agent provoucateurs cannot be ruled out as burning and destroying property certainly does not help the cause of an already beleaguered and targetted sect. In 2005, a Shia Imambargah was attacked and a dozen Shias were killed. Within minutes, a KFC was attacked and burnt down to the ground by an angry mob. Later investigations questioned the veracity of the claim that this arson and murder of KFC employees was undertaken by enraged Shia youth. They pointed out the logical inconsistency as to how the mob reached this specific location within minutes and at some distance away from the attacked imambargah and targetted it specifically. How did this benefit the Shias!! If anything, like the Ashura massacre this year, it immediately shifted focus away from the the tragic plight of the Shias.
Such generalized comments are very typical of the general population who do not want to admit their hatred for the Shias and other minorities and whose utter callousness wrt the masscre of innocent human beings is aptly reflected in such remarks!
@Ali Abas
Denying the mob attack by Shia Taliban is like denying the involvement of Taliban in Suicide bombing ,Denying the MQM involvement on 28th may ,PPP workers involvement in 27 dec riots ,denying the terrorism issue within Muslim .Its normal in Pakistan the group we support we do not accept any proof .After bombing of Ashura hundreds of peple wearing black shalwar kameez ( May be Black Water agents ) start burning the shops ,They are caught by Camera (Zionist Camera ) and Police arrested them in Ancholi ,Jafar Taiyar and other Area (May be found in Israel ) .The next day shia “Ulema ” protested against the arrest and these ” Black Water agents ” were released .
Every one condemned the Bombing by SSP or LJ but no one dare to criticize the “known ” because “Jaan Sab ko Piyari hay ”
I do not want this debate to the “Religious ” conflicts between Shia and Sunna but I would say as Sunni I am more liberal to criticize the extremism by all Sunni groups but cannot criticize Shia extremism .
Like I personally want all the religious gathering should be in boundary wall or in the ground without loudspeakers and give less trouble for common man ,But Not one can dare to criticize a “Majlis ” where many loud speakers is used at the middle of the main road causing people sleep and traffic disturbance .These issues are not “religious ” but I am sure if some one criticize them in the Media the next day the “Mujahideen of ISO ” would be protesting against him .
WHERE IS ISO? SHIA DOCTORS ARE ALSO BEING BUTCHERED IN KHI
Youth’s killing sparks violence By Our Staff Reporter Thursday, 10 Jun, 2010

KARACHI, June 9: The younger brother of a middle-aged man, who had been killed in Nazimabad over a week ago, was shot dead in the busy commercial area of Bahadurabad on Wednesday, police said.
While the police said they had yet to find any clue to the killers of the two brothers, the Jafaria Alliance Pakistan said the two incidents were part of a fresh series of killings targeting members of a particular sect.
“It was between 10am and 10.30am when Shahzad Raza was targeted by two armed men riding a motorbike in the Bahadurabad area,” said Inspector Tariq Imran, the SHO of the New Town police station.
“He was walking towards the shop where he worked as a salesman when the riders, both clad in shalwar kameez, intercepted him. They fired three bullets at him and sped away. Raza died on the spot.”
On June 1, the inspector said, the victim’s 42-year-old brother was gunned down on a Nazimabad road. The family had no enmity with anyone, he said, citing the account of the victims’ brother Ali Raza who lodged an FIR (244/2010) against unidentified suspects. The case was registered at the New Town police station under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
“The victim was in his late 30s and father of two children. The family seems mild-mannered and straight, with no political or religious background. However, the two killings carried out within a short period look very strange and mysterious,” said Inspector Imran.
After the funeral prayers of Shahzad Raza were offered at an Imambargah near his Ancholi residence in Block 20 of Federal B Area, hundreds of youths staged a sit-in on Shahrah-i-Pakistan and blocked its link with the Superhighway. The situation turned ugly when police baton-charged the protesters and fired teargas shells to disperse them.
Amid hide-and-seek between the protesting youths and the police, at least three vehicles were set on fire and stones were hurled at passing vehicles that suspended traffic on Shahrah-i-Pakistan. The police used teargas shelling and exchanged fire with miscreants till late hours of Wednesday night.
“We requested them to disperse peacefully after lodging their protest, but they threw stones at the police that forced the police to move,” said Asim Khan, SP of the Gulberg Town.
“There has been no arrest yet but we have controlled the situation and managed to open the blocked road, which is now open for traffic,” he said.
A heavy contingent of Rangers later joined the police to control the situation that remained disturbed till late hours.
Meanwhile, Allama Abbas Kumaili of the Jafaria Alliance Pakistan condemned Raza’s killing, suspecting that it was carried out by one of the banned outfits to foment sectarian unrest.
“At least five people, including two doctors, from this particular sect have been gunned down in the city within a month. But unfortunately the government has not made any serious effort to take action against the miscreants,” he said.
Mr. Writer you have made some mistakes in your Article when you compare Bin Laden and Sayed Nasrullah ( its like you comparing Terrorist vs. Freedom Fighters)
Can conduct debate on it.
Second thing you post ISO was silent on Mass killings of Ahmedi’s ? ISO is part of Majlis-e-Wehdat Muslimeen and we recorded our Protest as MWM is an Political Organization.
http://www.mwmpak.org/ver2/?p=121
And your next comments too much mixed. You need to review some historic facts. Go to Christians, Go to Ahlesunnat, Go to other peoples Sikh, Ahmedis etc. and ask when we attack them or even try to hurt them ?
I Agree with ali xaidi and tottaly unagree with diz biased sympathy gaining article with the shield of humanity..
Man comparing Hassan nasrullah with usama is totally fool.
Dollars making aricle in Real.. Altaf bhai and zardari will b too happy after readng this..
Go to interior sindh areas and ask them about importance of MMA and change their after creation of MMA.. They(interior sindh pplz) mostly says that MMA was just like heaven for them it was MMA which made so many changes, peace wise in interior areas.
And as far as Hizbullah is concern.. Hizbullah is defending whole humanity, includes jews, christians, ahle sunnah and shias in Lebanon.. Hizbullah is nt biased like this this article and it is foolish point to compare Hizbullah with bloody talibans.. Get a life man..
Criminal silence ??? What about martyrdom of Shaheed Dr Mohammad ali naqvi (head of iso).. Where was humanity at that hime ?
What about martyrdom of Shaheed Arif Hussain ali hussaini, who started major efforts to unite all shia sunnis at same plateform ? Where was humanity ?
Why ISO is responsible for every duty ? ISO is based on students.. And as a shia if u are really worried about the present condition of shiat and present target killing.. Then u are also and always welcome at M.A jinah road or presclub to protest against killings of shias or killings of ahmedis..
Why all emphasize only on ISO ? It is duty of every shia, every person..
Khair.. PPP walay achay paise dedaingay is article likhnay k.. Aik 2 lakh agr salman taseer ne or USA k kisi admi ne parhlia

Khomeini spent more than 14 years in exile, mostly in the holy Shia city of Najaf, Iraq. Initially he was sent to Turkey on 4 November 1964 where he stayed in the city of Bursa for less than a year. He was hosted by a colonel in Turkish Military Intelligence named Ali Cetiner in his own residence, who couldn’t find another accommodation alternative for his stay at the time. Later in October 1965 he was allowed to move to Najaf, Iraq, where he stayed until being forced to leave in 1978, after then-Vice President Saddam Hussein forced him out (the two countries would fight a bitter eight year war 1980-1988 only a year after the two reached power in 1979) after which he went to Neauphle-le-Château in France on a tourist visa, apparently not seeking political asylum, where he stayed for four months. firstly the article makes an unjust comparison between hezbollah and taliban
hezbollah is part of national resistance of lebanon and has been thus endorsed as such by the Government there and it always fought a foreign element and not inside the country. secondly the writer appears to be an ahmadi as he unjustly calls them ahmadi muslims , which they are not and therefore this persons islam is highly doubtful as they are declared NON MUSLIMS by the constitution of Pakistan.
shias support sunnis and are brothers to them , the writer assumes that the sunnis and taliban have no differences, which is again incorrect.
in 1988 the shias of pakistan sweeped seats in northern areas and in karachi, they went into alliance with PPP. shia consensus didn’t develop as the writer so ideally wished simply beacuase it isn’t a confession based state as is lebanon. here the priorites are more towards the well being of the society as a whole rather than of sects.
anyhow, there is one more unjust comparison which is of ISO refered to as shia taliban, whilst ISO is the organization representing all shia students across pakistan in universites and colleges, it is non -violent and unarmed.
so far as condemning the attack against ahmadis go, then no one else did protest either, so why single out shias?
infact 13 sunni religious organizations got together to call it an attack on the constitution of pakistan and label it as a false flag operation
the writer was probably drunk when he wrote it
have ahmadis ever condemned the attack against shias which is of a more repetitive nature than those on ahmadis?
or for that reason have any sunni organizations ever come out to condemn the attack against shias?
shias are the force of unity in this country and if they turn against this country , it’s very survival will be at stake
How ignorantness to compare a prestigious organization Hizbullah with a brutal killer groups of so-called Taleban and Al-Qaieda.
Do you think defending theirselfs by Zionists and killing brutality innocent own countrymen are equal ?
Secular thinking can never understand the true meaning of Jihad
Amir Mughal get a life looser your all blog post sources are Zionist websites ( ZIonist Propaganda )
You trust Zionist’s sources more than Neutral Historian ??? Let me suggest you go to Google books try to find some good Neutral History book there + Zionism are exposed in the world after Flotilla that how true they are.
Show some Muslims sources where you can tell us they said wrong there ” ………. ”
Not quoted by some stupid paid agents of CIA.
But is is public record and widely reported.
Seems you hate Zionists so let me tell you a fact which is widely reported in Alleged Islamic History and often repeated by Deobandis in MMA [SHIA TOO ARE IN MMA] that Shia Religion was invented by a Jew namely Abdullah Ibn Saba [Yemeni Jew] aka Ibn Sauda [same Islamic History from where people quote] i.e Tabari] and since Abbas Kumaili has already and very loudly declared that “There is no doubt in the Disbeleief of Quadiyani”??? What do you say about this Abdullah Bin Sabbah narration which is quoted against Shia Community by Deobandi [who also very fond of Al Quds and Peace Flotilla like ISO and other Followers of Hassan Nasrullah]
Ponder and then reply. Shia community should dissociate themselves from the Evil Influence of Iran and Ayatullah because those Sunnis who are nowadays after Quadiyani would be after the throats of Shias, and after that Barelvis and after that Wahabis and after that they will fight with each other like rabid dogs.
Well, the article started with “shiites brothers” and then your last comments say that “shia’s” were invented by JEW. so if shia are invented by JEW and you say them brothers, it implies that JEWS are your brothers. We haven’t heard about JEWS MUSLIMS brotherhood, though we have heard about MUSLIMS brotherhood.
Secondly the person like you should never say “Shia brothers” because many including you believe that “shia’s” are not MUSLIMS.
The second thing is that you are very much worried about the “IRANIAN” influence in shia all around. And I’m happy that you are afraid of them and their influence.
Comparison of USAMA and HEZBOLLAH is great. Close your eyes and have fresh breathe. you have so much confused state of mind.
First remove your own confusion and then start writing about others.
you only know hatred as your comments say, you don’t understand love.
Pakistan was gifted by “M A Jinnah” who was a shia, so go and get some lesson. If we shia turn around and start destabilizing pakistan(which we will never) you won’t even find a single piece of it
We have message of PEACE of LOVE for all human, no matter what religion they belong to. but we are strictly against oppression.
{{{{{Ponder and then reply. Shia community should dissociate themselves from the Evil Influence of Iran and Ayatullah because those Sunnis who are nowadays after Quadiyani would be after the throats of Shias, and after that Barelvis and after that Wahabis and after that they will fight with each other like rabid dogs.}}}}}
Let me suggest you something.
When you go to bed, just think what your inner feelings are.
Why you so afraid of “Ayatullah’s”, huh?
Has any of shia ever kicked your ass, or kicked other asses?
You said that Sunni’s are against Ahmadi’s, Ahmadi’s were attacked only once in last 5 years or more, shia are attacked on daily bases. This has nothing do with “IRAN” or “Ayatullah’s”, its hatred of YAZEED which transfer to your blood and the blood who killed shia’s.
Why don’t you said that we should stop believing in “The family of Prophet(SAWW)”, you don’t have the guts to say that, so you mentioning “Ayatullah’s”.
Shia are the very distrubed nation of pakistan by every side,, Taliban Attacked on shia, communist and secular parties are against the shias, Alqaida and Wahabi movement against the shias, LET and LEJ are against the shias, local fudal lords create hurdles for shias, any govt. against the shias but Media and other were sielent criminally…. Dr. Khuwaja speaks out when Qadiani attacked( we condemn this brutal attack ) but since last 1980s shias are on the fire every where.. from parachinaar to DI khan, DG khan to Punjab, Khaipur to karachi…. why DR. KHUWAJA didnt react like this… why why and this is big WHY ???
Ayatullahs were used by US CIA against Mossadeq [Socialist PM Of Iran] and in those days Khomeini was very young [He was a close friend of Paleed Mawdudi]. Differentiate between Hating Ayatullahs and hating Shias. now read about the Alleged Ayatullah Khomeini and his American Connections and Israeli too, do watch the embedded documentary: Ayatullah Khomeini, Ronald Reagan & Iran-Contra Affair.

Mind you this was/is the same lobby which is supporting “Shia Lovers Aal-e-Saud”
Differentiate between Naasibis [who hate Ahl Al Bayt] and Sunnis [who respect Ahl Al Bayt] and if you insist then read this Hadith which is in Saheeh Muslim and narrated by Hazrat Ayesha [May Allah be pleased with her] about the Virtues of Household of Hazrat Ali [May Allah be pleased with him and his family]:
قوله تعالى : { إنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت }
قيل : هو الشك , وقيل العذاب , وقيل : الإثم . قال الأزهري : الرجس اسم لكل مستقذر من عمل
English Translation:
‘A’isha reported that Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) went out one norning wearing a striped cloak of the black camel’s hair that there came Hasan b. ‘Ali. He wrapped hitn under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her under it, then came ‘Ali and he also took him under it and then said: Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household, and purify you (thorough purifying) [Sahih Muslim]
And if still insist to turn LUBP in Imam Bargah then let there be open debate and you will be left with nothing but Verbal Abuse for me.

salam,
it seems pretty biased of you guys,
how you compare Hezbullah, the movement which is protecting and uniting all the people, besides their religious background,
and taliban?
well,you all know about them,
and secondly,
why are you people condemning ayatullahs?
you are forgetting the fact that its because of irans leadership that they are able to survive and prosper besides being sanctioned and isolated by the west.
Why I love Yazeed [May Allah have mercy on his soul] and Ameer Muawiyah [May Allah be pleased with him] because they were related with Ahl Al Bayt through several Marriages and that too after the Sad and Tragic Incident of Karbala:
Now read and I am sure the post will uplift your spirituality.

As per Shia Books:
A Rafizi Abul Qasim Ali Bin Ahmed Bin Musa [Death: 352 Hijri] in his book Al Istighasa Fi Bidah-es-Salasa had denied that Ruqqaya [May Allah be pleased with her], Umme Kulthum [May Allah be pleased with her], and Zainab [May Allah be pleased with her] were also the daugthers of Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] besides Hazrat Fatimah [May Allah be pleased with her] from Hazrat Khadija [May Allah be pleased with her] whereas Ruqqayya, Zainab and Umme Kulthum were the daughters of Mohammad [PBUH] from Khadija and all three were borne before the Prophethood [Bu’saat]. Abul Qasim above meant to say that these three daughters were borne to Khadija from her earlier husband. Abul Qasim’s claims are rejected by books like Nasb Al Quraish, Kashf Al Ghamma Fi Maarifatul Aimma, Umdatut Talib Fi Ansab Aal Abi Talib.
The claim of the above Rafizi was thoroughly rejected by a noted Shia Scholar Abdullah Mamqani in his book Tanqeeh ul Maqal Fi Ahwal Ir Rijal and declared that Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] had four daughters [May Allah be pleased with all of them]. Rafizi Abul Qasim was declared apostate by several noted Shia Scholars like Sheikh Abbas Al Qumi in his Tatamma Al Muntaha, and by another Shia Scholar Allama Aaqa Meer in his Naqd ur Rijal and by another Giant Shia Scholar Mohammad Bin Yaquob Al Kulaini in his Usool ul Kafi’s Chapter Bab-e-Tareekh also accepted that Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] has four daughters from Khadija [May All be pleased with her].
Following Shia Books accpeted that Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] had four daughters from Khadjia [[May All be pleased with her].

@Aamir Mughal The traditions you cite have a ‘nasibi’ origin; the sources you cite are very selective.
If Yazeed is raziallah taala anho, then perhaps Abu Lahab and Firon too deserve to be declared as raziallah taala anho.
In Iqbal’s words:
Moosa o Firon o Shabbir o Yazid
Ein do qoowat az hayat ayad padeed
The same historical sources which have reported Badr and Uhud have also exposed the ugly role of Yazid and Muawiya. Why choose some part of history and ignore other?
How did you reach to this conclusion? Is the narration by Hazrat Ayesha [May Allah eb pleased with her] on the virtues [Fazail] of Ahl Al Bayt is Nasibi in origin??? Did I say Razi Allah or May Allah be pleased with him? [do read before comment]
Since you have quoted Iqbal so let me quote Iqbal and after reading this verse do declare that Iqbal is Nasibi as well.
“QUOTE”
We can virtually hear the distant call by the poet Iqbal:
Hark the music of fun and revelry in the mansions of Europe,
Watch too the making ready for mourning in Iran!
“UNQUOTE”
I haven’t started this Debate and since you have raised the question then please name the source ” historical sources which have reported Badr and Uhud have also exposed the ugly role of Yazid and Muawiya” then we will discuss and please don’t quote selective quotation from Shia website.
Do you know what Iqbal had to say About Mehdi? Since you have set the criteria let me quote:
Witness Divine descent on your heart’ tower,
Give up the wait for Mahdi or the Messiah!
This is happened when one folllows Mullah blindly, you say I have quoted Nasibi sources, read the references above. Is Usool-e-Kafi a Nasibi book or a book of Momineen and thoroughly checked by Imam Mahdi in Ghaibat and said to Kulaini that This book is sufficient for Shias.
Since Iqbal is your criteria, Read and [Apnay Shia Iman Aqeeday Key Khair Manaye Agar Aap Iqbal ko Mantay Hain to Imam Mahdi Ka Inkar Kardejiay]: Concept of Muslim Culture & Imam Mahdi by Dr Sir Allama Muhammad Iqbal http://www.scribd.com/doc/26382275/Concept-of-Muslim-Culture-Imam-Mahdi-by-Dr-Sir-Allama-Muhammad-Iqbal
Have their point of view ever been allowed on the media? Unbanning them from the media and getting their POV first hand would be the right thing to do.
Problem is Shias have also issued death edicts against others and engaged in violence. This does dampen the sympathies a little.
Iqbal is criteria???
Allama Iqbal has a very saying about Mehdi’s Image.
thay tu woh aa’ba tumharay tum kya ho
haath per haath dharay muntazir-e-farda ho
Iqbal,
howi jis key khudi pehlay baidar, hay wohi mehdi
i.
He wrote in a poem in Armaghan-e-Hijaz
“Is the son of Mary dead, or does he live?
Are Divine attributes separate from God, or one with His Person?
Is the Coming one the Nazarene Jesus, or a Mujaddid having the son of Mary’s qualities?
Are the Divine words created, or pre-existing from eternity, In which belief does lie the salvation of the Ummah?
Are not sufficient for the Muslims today, These Lat and Manat [idols] carved out by theology.”
One of the letter of Allama Iqbal from Iqbal Nama has this text:
“I can only tell you what I believe. I consider the Hadith reports about the Mahdi, the coming Messiah, and mujaddidiyya, to be derived from Persian and non-Arab conceptions. They have no connection with Arab concepts or the true spirit of the Quran.”
In Baqiyat Iqbal, p. 451
“Look for the descent of God upon the minaret of your own heart,
And give up waiting even for the Mahdi or Jesus.”
In Khutba-e-Madras
“As far as I understand the meaning of this movement, the Ahmadis believe that Jesus died the death of a mortal human being, and the return of the Messiah refers to a person who bears spiritual similarity to him. This belief gives this movement a rational appearance.”
If his name’s meanings are so bad then why Abdullah Bin Jafer Tayyar – May Allah be pleased with him [Cousin of Hazrat Hussein Ibn Ali, Bibi Zainab’s Husband and Yazeed’s Father in Law, Abdullah bin Jafer’s daughter Umme Mohammad was Yazeed’s wife] had named his son on Hazrat Muawiya i.e. Muwaiyah Bin Abdullah Bin Jafer Tayyar. A son of Aqeel Ibn Abi Talib [May Allah be pleased with him] was named Yazeed. Abdullah Bin Jafer’s grandson’s name was Yazeed. [Shia References – Tanqeeh Al Maqal, Muntahi Al Maqal – these Shia books carry names of those narrators who were named Muwiyah [41 persons], and Yazeed [124 persons]. If Muwaiyah was such a bad name then why Ahl Al Bayt give their daughters in Banu Ummayya for marriage.
Ayatollah revives the death fatwa on Salman Rushdie By Philip Webster, Ben Hoyle and Ramita Navai From The Times January 20, 2005 http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article414681.ece
A FATWA against the author Salman Rushdie was reaffirmed by Iran’s spiritual leader last night in a message to Muslim pilgrims. British officials anxiously played down comments after Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told Muslims making the annual pilgrimage to Mecca that Rushdie was an apostate whose killing would be authorised by Islam, according to the Iranian media.

Farqan u r like Taliban coz u said tht em liberal sunni bt u continuously critcized shia community. So u think tht u are taliban tht have beared on his abdomen. u know in 2003 45 shia drz killed….how much sunni drz killed by shias or ISO killed any doctor…so why ur remark iz very embarrasin for me….coz i think thiz website is 4 liberal talk nt a religious one. So be carefull
Hi Tierra. So fare i can see, Lindenberg has answered your question. I don’t see any sense.
Dang, great post. I love posts similar to this.
Wow Comparing Hezbollah to Taliban, the most ridiculous thing i’ve ever seen. Dude you honestly need to read more about Hezbollah. Hezbollah in Lebanon has never done suicide bombings in places of worship. Hezbollah has never carried out target killings of sunnis or Christians, Hezbollah actively participates in parliament. Hezbollah targeted american army personnel, not civilians like the Taliban. Hezbollah at its inception might have wanted an Islamic republic, but seeing the reality has now dropped that trend of thought and decided to participate in the democratic government.
And if you actually believe that ISO wants to establish a Shia Irani Theocracy over Pakistan then you must be an idiot. There are medications for paranoid schizophrenics. Do you honestly think that 20% of the population would think of and try to force shia theocracy on the majority Sunni population. WTH do you not understand the concept of numbers! You my friend just have a hate for shia’s. Every situation is diffrent, the Islamic Revolution was for good for Iran. Iraq has a bigger percentage of Shia and they still havn’t implemented “Irani Theocrcaey”, they know its not going to work their. But you’re schizophrenic ass insist that all shia want an Irani Theocracey. You do not understand the Shia, we are not a one “method/government” fit all people, not even ISO. Even the scholars that influenced Khomeini, Mohammad Baqir-as-Sadr argued against the one size fit all methods. The amount of Ignorance here about the Shia believes and aspiration is completely pathetic. Instead of learning about shia’s from your Madersa teacher, you should pick up a book by leading scholars, try Our Philosophy by Baqir as Sadr
