Culpable role of PML-N in Lahore’s Ahmadi massacre – by Farhad Jarral

After the heinous attacks on Ahmadi mosques in Lahore, we have seen numerous statements that Punjabi Taliban and Sipah Sihaba are involved in this target killing.

However, the picture (of a signboard at a busy road in Lahore) on the top of this post is showing a different view as it is written on the signboard, sponsored by the Government of the Punjab (Auqaf Department), that “Friends of Ahmadis are enemies of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)”.

Everyone knows that in a Muslim country, where intolerance and sectarianism is rampant, such statements may tantamount to death warrant for the innocent Ahmadi community.

Various ministers of the PML-N, ruling party in Punjab, have issued numerous condemnation statements after the Lahore attacks, but on the other hand they are also supporting various anti-Ahmadi Groups, i.e., Sipah-e-Sahaba and Anjuman Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwat.

Now we can easily understand who are the real mentors and supporters of terrorism in Pakistan. It is in view of these facts that Governor Salman Taseer boldly stated that PML-N is responsible for the Lahore massacre because of their contacts with jihadis e.g., Punjabi Taliban and Sipah Sahaba.

The following are some related statements on the heinous attacks on Ahmadi mosques:
