After killing a Session Judge in Quetta, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi threatens all judges and journalists
According to a news report, banned Deobandi-Wahhabi militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ, also operating as Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat ASWJ) has accepted responsibility for killing a Shiite Session Judge Zulfiqar Naqvi in Quetta. The LeJ is known for its close links with the Al Qaeda and Taliban and has killed thousands of Shia Muslims, Sunni Barelvis and dozens of Christians and Ahmadis in Pakistan in the last few years.
In its latest statement, the LeJ threatened all judges including the Chief Justice to refrain from sentencing of the LeJ-ASWJ-Taliban terrorists currently in police custody. Th LeJ threatened the judiciary to refrain from issuing any verdict against the arrested Deobandi-Wahhabi militants.
In the same statement, the LeJ also threatened journalists demanding them to publish its press releases in full and refrain from painting LeJ-Jihadi’s militant/terrorist operations in bad light.
It is important to recall that LeJ’s threat is only to the non-complying judges and journalists. The pro-LeJ judges such as Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa etc and the pro-LeJ journalists such as Hamid Mir, Ansar Abbasi, Ahmad Noorani etc were clearly not a target of the threat.
For all practical purposes, it its the lower court judges and their families who continue to receive severe threats from terrorists when their cases are taken up in lower courts.
According to Dr. Hoodbhoy:
Newspaper reports say Ishaq was freed last year after frightened judges treated him like a guest in the courtroom, offering him tea and biscuits. One judge attempted to hide his face with his hands. But after Ishaq read out the names of his children, the judge abandoned the trial.
What does the Pakistan Army think it will gain tolerating — or perhaps encouraging — such violent forces once again? Its jawans pay an enormous price in fighting them, and their offshoots, elsewhere in the country. But perhaps the notion that extremists are Pakistan’s ‘strategic assets’ for use in Kashmir and Afghanistan has captured the military’s mind. Or, post-OBL, perhaps a miffed leadership seeks to show anger at the US through such rallies. Whatever the explanation, Pakistan’s minorities face catastrophe.
Watch this painful video in which father of the target killed Shiite judge Zulfiqar Naqvi expresses his grief and concern over the failure of Pakistani State, army, government and judiciary in protecting innocent citizens:
However, the majority of pro-Jamaat-e-Islami, pro-PML-N judges in the Supreme Court keep releasing notorious terrorists including Malik Ishaq (LeJ Chief), Hafiz Saseed (LeT Chief), Molvi Abdul Aziz (Lal Masjid mullah) etc.
LeJ also claimed it knew more than 15 reporters going to work on motorbike, and threatened they would b killed if the newspapers did not publish its press releases. Ironically, the that CJ Balochistan High Court Qazi Fayez Issa had ordered the print and electronic media not to publish the press releases of the banned outfits (LeJ, SSP etc). This leaves journalists in a very precarious position. They will be punished by the court if they report, and are likely to be killed by the LeJ if they don’t.
Pakistani State’s total inability to defeat the LeJ-Taliban also lies in the fact that the judges, jailers, prosecutor and police officers can be directly threatened by the LeJ and indirectly pressurized by the intelligence agencies which keep supporting and protecting their Jihadi assets.
The LeJ is playing havoc with the Pakistani State and society, is on killing rampage, its leaders such as Ludhianvi and Malik Ishaq are allowed to operate openly pursuing their hate agenda.
Army is complicit, media is threatened, government is absent. Either the political government should boldly lead like Benazir Bhutto or quit.
LeJ is openly threatening anyone who stands against their ‘heavenly cause’. Cowards are emboldened due to the support they enjoy from Pakistan army. Their constant violence and threats certainly implies they have powerful backing and let off from agencies otherwise these small thugs of Mastung and Jhang cannot exist for a single day. Certainly the ‘machinery’ which is all-so-important is not bothered pulling LeJ’s strings back, otherwise hyenas always eat the dead
And our principled hero Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry is more concerned with Indian films springing obscenity. Dude: Cut the crap out, there is blood being spilled.

Shame on LeJ Chief Justice Iftikhar Choudhry

Sophisticated terrorists:
I have spoken to some middle class civilian officials about this trend they told me that they have no choice but to be with the LeJ-Taliban etc.
So the doctors in Pakistan know that the autopsy report should be exactly opposite the facts. If they would not comply would face the same situation which was faced by the police surgon in quetta who reported that the foreigners killed in quetta by rangers died of gun shots and not by explosives tied to them.
Judges know while deciding the case against any terrorists that they might loose some dear one or their own life if they do justice.
The judge who was giving the sentence to Lashkre jangvi leader ishaq who has killed hundreds inside and outside Pakistan tried to hide his face from him Malik Ishaq the head of Lashkere Jangvi took out a piece of paper from his pocket and shouted loudly the names of his (judge) children and he was freed.
The question is who gave him the names who have access to personal information none other not even police but Intelligence agencies…perhaps the same people who gave the name of American CIA director in Pakistan to the terrorists and forced him to flee from Pakistan.
Common citizens know that if they know the where about of some high profile terrorists they should shut up or face the fate of Dr shakeel Afreedi who help CIA capture osama bin ladin.
Journalists are gagged in Pakistan they know that they have enormous freedom to write against Americans Indians Jews and liberal politicians but army should not be touched upon. Some however misinterpret their limits and mistakenly intrude with army and terrorists and are respectively targeted. In such cases it’s entirely upon security agencies to attack and kill openly or do it covertly both the methods serve their purpose definitely. The first one terrifies and teaches a lesson to the rest of the naïve Journalists while the 2nd one eliminates the enemy without giving any rise to the suspicion.
Since the establishment is pro Jihadies so they operate without any fear. On the other hand the establishment covert support of terrorism in larger cities and open support in tribal areas makes it disastrous for those who stand against terrorism.
In Pakistan terrorists are very well taken care of they are not only trained financed but also given an access to media to get more popular.Pak isi also let them freely kidnap for ransom and loot the banks whenever there is a decrease in their funds.
Rest assured that all the Muslim countries who have herds of militants are supporting them to an unbelievable larger extent particularly Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, UAE, Kuwait.
Both the terrorists and the establishment have complete understanding of their working relationship, publically the establishment and the terrorists would show enmity and play rivalry while covertly they are one and the same.
There is always wide spread corruption in these terror hit countries. It’s because establishment chooses cruel and terrorism supporting leaders to be with them so the terrorism and corruption goes hand in hand with each other.
The middle and high govt officials understand that for their survival they have to join the club and cover their mischiefs under the garb of national sovereignty.
Unfortunately these sophisticated terrorists get funds from foreign countries to fight terrorism. Its like fueling the fire. These funds are effectively used to recruit more terrorists.
Through the same funds the terrorists are funded and the innocent are oppressed
Terror hit countries acquire more arms from the West the same arms would be used against the west later.
These sophisticated terrorists have proved to be extremely successful in their plans mainly because of the west ignorance of looking into their abysmal depths and because of their cruelty. Their use of extreme cruelty hypocrisy and advanced media techniques has immensely helped them.
While the west is busy eliminating al-Qaida the sophisticated terrorists have effectively shifted al-Qaida from a terrorist group to multiple groups LeJ, SSP, ASWJ, supported by the state powers in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey etc.
Despite the lack of convictions, Ishaq remained in prison for 14 years as prosecutors slowly moved from one case to the next.
Ishaq proved his usefulness in 2009, when he was flown from jail to negotiate with militants who had stormed part of the military headquarters in Rawalpindi and were holding hostages there, said Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, who used to advise the Punjab provincial government on religious matters.

@Nasir Hazara
Your analysis is very astute and also unsettling. I have not read in great detail about the internal terror problems of Pakistan and those other nations, but I have read about what Israel does to Palestine, and it would seem the ISI’s relationship with terrorists and militants in Pakistan is very similar to the way Israel worked with the PLO under Arafat.
The Palestinian Authority was completely infiltrated and corrupted by Mossad and Shin Bet. When Israel had Palestinian activists and prisoners it wanted taken care of without tarnishing itself in the international media, they would hand these people over to Arafat for torture, imprisonment, and intimidation. Israel used the corrupted PLO and PA to stamp out other peaceful Palestinian independence movements, to guarantee that the movement for Palestinian statehood was always equated with violence and terrorism.
And when Arafat’s people were becoming discredited, they tried to do the same with Hamas, only to find that Hamas values ideology far more than Arafat did, as he was all about money.
