Same is with Ashyana housing scheme. It seems that all these schemes will meet the same fate as Sasti roti scheme. Billions have already been wasted in 90s on same scheme.
By writing this article the author has proven that he is a moron. Mr.Moron,do U know there is something called economics? I am sure you dont know damn thing about it. If u dont know then, why u poke your nose in economic affairs? Driving a taxi doesnt make you lowly. Also there is no force on any graduate to drive the cab. Also do u want him to give cabs to uneducated people when there are many educated people who are unemployed. Who has the first right–educated or uneducated?
Mr.Moron,I know you are on the pay roll of Mr.10%,so you have to write this nonsense. I pitty you. May God bless U.
unless some one earns Rizq e Hilal it doesn’t matter what his qualification is. Its better to drive a taxi for an educated person rather then making Maal-E-Haram from commissions and corruption. Yes I am taking about PPP ministers.
Kudos to @Pro-PPP what how beautifully you defended u Nadm-e-aala. curse on him. Whether making a graduate taxi drvier, if non-sense had announced to pay few lacks to these graduate so that they could better kick off their business at small level that could be helpful for the country as well as for the economy. BTW why he does not make Hamza Shehbaz Taxi Driver? what hinders him at least he is leader and should be a role model. furthermore, cheap minster sahib if can not provide jobs to educated lot, dont make fuss by publicizing projects like Danish School. I am sure he would have spent millions on Viagra but he has no penny to pay educated lot to start a respectable business at a small level.
@rafi
Looks like,you are ignorant of many facts. Your proposed scheme(paying few lacs) is already ongoing and is not providing desirable benefits. Either people are investing and losing money OR there are some people who just take money and keep in their pockets. So this scheme has been made so foolproof that only deserving candidates will come forward and hence they will be benifitted. This experiment has been successfully tried in many countries.This is the best way to overcome unemployment in Pakistan.
In the same way, the people will use cabs for their personal uses. Don’t forget Nawaz Sharif has already experienced this scheme in 90’s and thousands of people did not bother to pay remaining money. The previous Yellow Cab Scheme went into the red pretty quickly and, after 15 years, is still being fought out in the courts on who all have misappropriated millions in the misuse of this scheme.High-up HBL officials have been recently penalised for massive funds fraud related to this scheme. Under these circumstances, it is confounding how this scheme can be re-launched with such fanfare, as
if the previous experience had been a huge success story for this government.It was a flawed scheme much like Nawaz Sharif’s Yellow Cab Scheme of yesteryear. Such misadventures do not galvanize the masses or their confidence. At a time when the world is feeling the effects of global recession, the PML-N should not indulge in such follies.we do not need any yellow cabs but need to improve the commuter buses and wagons. It is also hilarious that this scheme is offered for the graduates, shame on Mian Sahib to make graduates taxi drivers
instead of providing them respectable jobs. It is also better to import buses and wagons rather than taxi cars.
Ever since the Punjab government decided to reduce unemployment among the educated young men by offering them yellow cabs; this scheme was doomed to fail. It looks like the Sharif brothers cannot think beyond yellow cabs and motorways. Why would any child who has got a graduate degree want to drive a cab? When parents spend their time and money to get their children educated, they expect them to land good or at least reasonable jobs; not drive cabs. Realizing their initial mistake, when the Bank of Punjab started issuing the forms for this scheme the educational requirements were lowered to intermediate. The closing date for submission of forms was fixed as 30th July. After seeing the poor response the Punjab government again revised the minimum educational requirement to matric and extended the last date for forms submission. Well, when the day arrives and the forms are submitted, the brains behind this scheme will realize that the response is not what they had thought.
