Thanks to successful submissions and lobbying by Sahibzada Hamid Raza of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), Ali Abbas Taj of Interfaith Unity against Terrorism (IFUT), Khuram Zaki and Jibran Nasir of civil society, and other volunteers:

U.K. Government has formally proscribed the takfiri terrorist outfit Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) and recognized that it is yet another alias of the banned terrorist outfits Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) aka Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ).

In other words, if any individual is found supporting ASWJ or SSP in any manner, politically, morally, financially or phsycially, may be prosecuted in the UK and across European Union. This includes promotion, support or justification of ASWJ’s terrorism on social media too.

Congrats to all Sunni and Shia Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus and all other peace loving Pakistanis.
