پاکستان کے صوبہ بلوچستان کے ضلع خضدار میں زائرین کی بس کو دھماکے میں نشانہ بنایا گیا جس کے نتیجے میں سات افراد زخمی ہوگئے ہیں۔

لیویز فورس کے مطابق زخمی ہونے والے زائرین ہیں جو کہ کوہ مراد سے واپس آرہے تھے۔

خضدار میں لیویز فورس کے ایک اہلکار نے بتایا کہ یہ واقعہ ضلع کے علاقے گریشہ میں پیش آیا۔

اہلکار نے بتایا کہ گریشہ اور دیگر علاقوں سے تعلق رکھنے والے زائرین زیارت کے لیے ضلع کیچ کے علاقے کوہ مراد گئے تھے۔ کوہ مراد میں زیارت کے بعد واپسی پر جب ان کی گاڑی گریشہ موڑ پر پہنچی تو اس کے قریب دھماکہ ہوا۔

انھوں نے بتایا کہ دھماکہ اس بارودی مواد کے باعث ہوا جسے نامعلوم افراد نے گریشہ موڑ کے علاقے میں نصب کیا تھا۔ اہلکار نے بتایا کہ بس کا اگلا حصہ دھماکے کی زد میں آگیا جس سے ڈرائیور سمیت 7 افراد زخمی ہوئے۔

ان میں سے شدید زخمیوں کو علاج کے لیے خضدار شہر منتقل کردیا گیا ہے۔

بلوچستان کے مختلف علاقوں سے ہر سال زیارت کے لیے لوگوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد کوہ مراد جاتی ہے۔ کوہ مراد جانے والے زائرین کی بس کو بم سے نشانہ بنانے کا واقعہ اپنی نوعیت کا پہلا واقعہ ہے۔

تاحال اس واقعے کی ذمہ داری کسی نے قبول نہیں کی ہے۔ تاہم مقامی حکام نے مقدمہ درج کرکے تفتیش شروع کردی ہے۔

Seven people wounded in Khuzdar blast

QUETTA: At least seven people were wounded after a passenger coach was attacked with a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) in Khuzdar district, Balochistan.

The passenger bus was attacked in the Nal Gresha area of the district while on its way to Khuzdar from Panjgur district. “The IED was planted on the road [and] was detonated by a remote controller when [the] passenger bus passed by,” Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Waheed Shah told The Express Tribune.

The bus was five to six feet away from where the IED was planted, he said, adding that that was why the explosion had caused fewer casualties. “All seven victims sustained minor injuries,” he added.

The window panels of the passenger coach shattered as a result of the blast. Balochistan Levies personnel and passersby on the road transported the injured to a nearby state-run hospital for treatment.

None of the injured are stated to be in critical condition, according to medics at Nal hospital. All victims were Zikri and residents of Gesha Nal, Khuzdar.

Zikri Mahdavis or Zikris are an offshoot of the Mahdavi movement who mostly reside in Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. Zikri derives from the Arabic word dhikr — meaning “remembrance” or “devotion”.

However, officials ruled out that they were targeted because of their sect as there have been no attacks on Zikri in Khuzdar, whereas security forces have been targeted in the same area.

“They are targeting whatever they assume [to be an] easy target. In the same area, Levies personnel were targeted,” Shah said.

Khuzdar is one of the most troubled districts in Balochistan where targeted killings, bombing and clashes between militants and security forces occur frequently.

Khuzdar is also home to pro and anti-government armed militant groups, who usually carry out deadly attacks

However, no group claimed responsibility for today’s attack. .

“Security forces have taken strict action against those creating law and order problems in Khuzdar. It could be a reaction to that. Balochistan Levies personnel arrested several suspects in recent days,” Shah told The Express Tribune.

Khuzdar attack: Seven passengers injured in roadside blast

QUETTA: At least seven passengers on a bus were injured on Monday when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in Nal Gresha area of the volatile Khuzdar district.

According to officials, the commuter bus was heading to Khuzdar from Panjgur district when it was attacked using a remote-controlled bomb.

“The IED was planted along the road and was detonated using a remote control device when the passenger bus passed by,” Waheed Shah, deputy commissioner of Khuzdar, told The Express Tribune.

The officer revealed that the bus was five to six feet away from the spot where the explosive device was planted. “All the seven victims sustained minor injuries.”

Passengers said that the glass window panels of the commuter bus were shattered after the explosion. There were shards of glass everywhere, they said.

“None of the injured are in a critical condition,” medics at Nal hospital said.

According to security officials, all victims were Zikri and resident of Nal Gresha, Khuzdar. Zikri Mahdavis or “Zikris” are an offshoot of the Mahdavi movement. However, officials ruled out that they were targeted because of their religious beliefs.

Commenting on the incident the commissioner said, “The perpetrators of this attack are targeting whatever they assume is an easy prey. Earlier, in the same area Levies personnel were targeted,” he said while responding to a question on the group responsible for the attack.

Though no one has owned up the incident, pro and anti-government militant groups are active in Khuzdar and usually carry out such deadly attacks.

“Security forces have taken strict action against groups that are violating the law in Khuzdar. This attack could be a reaction to the security operation,” Waheed Shah said.

The attack comes a day after an explosive device went off in Quetta’s Kandhari Bazaar area – a bustling shopping district. At least 13 shoppers were injured in the explosion.
