Now I understand why liberal champions love to bash Sunni Barelvi Ulema and activists – because: a. The Barelvis have no street power or guns and could not bite back, b. they still uphold the shrine-auliya culture of inclusiveness. My disagreements with Zaidi Hamid aside, this is by far, one of the best denunciation of Deobandi-inspired terrorism in Pakistan. Not many Shia ulema have come close to this clarity even if Shias have suffered more. Today, the Sunni Barelvi /Sufism is still the most South Asian in his outlook and represents the mass culture of Pakistan that can still save us.

Zaid Hamid may offer naive conspiracy theories but he doesn’t have a gang of armed militants to enforce his Sunni Barelvi Shariat on others. Can liberal champions, from Najam Sethi to Marvi Sirmed, ever bash and humiliate Deobandi clerics such as Ludhianvi and Sami-ul-Haq as they do to Zaid Hamid or other Sunni Barelvi clerics? Will Nadeem Paracha ever devote as much column space to specifically attack genocidal Deobandi thugs like Ahmed Ludhianvi and Aurungzeb Farooqi as he does in his single minded attacks on Zaid Hamid?

I dare all liberals: Have Nadeem Paracha or Najam Sethi clearly condemned, ever, ‪‎Deobandi‬ terror like Zaid Hamid or Ahmed Noorani? On Deobandi terror, Zaid Hamid and Ahmad Noorani show greater integrity, clarity and courage than Nadeem Paracha, Najam Sethi, Sherry Rehman and Ejaz Haider types.

Also, shame on all the so-called liberal/secular/nationalist parties like PPP, MQM and ANP. None of them comes close to undermining the Taliban as much as Zaid Hamid does in this one clip. Those who oppose the Taliban, ask yourself this question : who would you want on your team? Wishy washy pseudo liberals like Parachas, Rumis, Sethis who grovel to Ludhianvi or Ashrafi, and cannot even bring themselves to say the “D” word! Or Zaid Hamid calls out the Deobandi Taliban.

In the end I salute Allama Hamid Raza, the lion of Sunni Barelvi Bahadurs and Faisal Raza Abdi, the lion of Shia brothers.

زید حامد نے صاف صاف کہا کہ طالبان مسلک دیوبند کے انتہا پسند گروہ سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں اور انہوں نے اعتدال پسند دیوبندی علما کو بھی شہید کیا ہے زید حامد نے کہا کہ تکفیری دیوبندی خوارج طالبان نے ہر مسلک کے لوگوں خاص طور پر سنی بریلوی، شیعہ اور اہلحدیث سلفی مسلمانوں کا قتل عام کیا اور پاکستان میں بسنے والی اقلیتوں جیسا کہ مسیحی وغیرہ پر بھی حملے کیے- زید حامد نے طالبان کے دہشت گردوں خاص طور پر مولوی عبد العزیز دیوبندی اور ملا فضل الله دیوبندی جیسے دشمنان پاکستان سے مذاکرات کی سخت مخالفت کی اور کہا کہ طالبان سے مذکرات کی بجائے ریاست کو ان کو پھانسی پر لٹکانا چاہیے – زید حامد نے کہا کہ سانپ کو دودھ پلانے کی بجائے اس کا سر کچلنے کی ضرورت ہے

حال ہی میں روزنامہ جنگ کے صحافی احمد نورانی نے بھی طالبان اور سپاہ صحابہ کے تکفیری دیوبندی خوارج کے خلاف سخت کاروائی کا مطالبہ کیا ہے – اس موضوع پر زید حامد اور احمد نورانی کا موقف جراتمندانہ اور قابل تعریف ہے اس کے مقابلے میں ندیم پراچہ، نسیم زہرہ، اعجاز حیدر، نجم سیٹھی اور رضا رومی جیسے  لبرلز کبھی کھل کر سپاہ صحابہ اور طالبان کی تکفیری دیوبندی شناخت اور دیوبندی دہشت گردوں کے ہاتھوں سنی بریلوی اور شیعہ کے قتل عام پر بات نہیں کرتے – امید ہے کہ وہ اپنے موقف پر نظر ثانی کریں گے
