Two days ago, Takfiri terrorist tried to harass renowned Pakistani author and activist Aamir Hussaini. They resorted to aerial firing outside his residence, chanted Allah-o-Akbar and then fled away from the scene.
Aamir Hussaini is well known in Pakistan’s Urdu media, political circles and blogs because of his anti-establishment, anti-Jihadist writings. He has been vocal in daily “Khabrain” about Jamaat Dawa’s links with ISI, especially critical of Hafiz Saeed. He has reasons to believe that Wahhabi extremist group Jamaat-ud-Dawa (aka Lashkar-e-Taiba) tried to harass him.
Press organizations in Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Quetta (including PFUJ and others) have condemned this incident and have expressed their full support to Aamir Hussain.
LUBP editors and authors express full support to Mr. Hussaini. We demand the Punjab government to take urgent action to ensure Mr. Hussaini’s security and also to arrest the terrorists who tried to harass him.
