Jang and The News get lion’s share of government advertising
Whenever the PPP government talks about the media bias of Jang, The News and Geo, there is a counter argument from the group that the government has clamped down on advertising for the group and that stopping advertisements is nothing less than a clamp down on the income of the news group. The gullible people and analysts believe them without ever verifying what have Jang, The News and Geo received from the government despite of all the targeting, bias and angling.
In a data analysis of Dailies Jang and The News during the period of 22nd August 2009 and 25th August 2010, the two dailies have gotten a lion’s share of government advertising of 24% amongst eight mainstream Newspapers of the country (Dawn, The News, The Nation, Daily Times, Jang, Nawa-i-Waqt, Express and Khabrain).
Total Government ads in 8 Dailies: | 14,01,680 cm |
Share of Jang and The News: | 3,36,740 cm |
Other Newspapers: | 10,64,940 cm |
Number of ads published in Jang and The News | 4703 |
The list of all advertisements, dates and sizes are attached so that one can verify the claims of the government.
PPP led government, you are bad people and more importantly you are mindless by being reconciliatory towards the Jang Group! Never expect anything good from people who are renowned for stabbing in the back.

This is an excellent report based on statistical evidence. The question is: why is the government feeding the Jang Group, the torch-bearer of yellow journalism in Pakistan? Why is the PPP government feeding Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman who is a major tax defaulter and a notorious blackmailer?
We, as citizens of Pakistan and also as taxpayers, demand from the federal and all provincial governments to STOP publishing any advertisements in the Jang Group.
STOP FEEDING THE DOGS WHO ARE BITING PAKISTAN AND ITS PEOPLE.
Same behaviour is of GEO TV Host Kamran Khan who nowadays “advising” Nawaz Sharif for the Long March against the elected government and what not and now watch as to how Kamran Khan “behaving” with a Military Dictator General Musharraf and also read Kamran Khan’s “Alleged Investigative Report” which he filed in The News International/Daily Jang 11 Years ago against an Elected Government.
