Mirza Sarwar, an associate of Professor Ahmad Rafique Akhtar, martyred by Taliban – by Haroon-ur-Rasheed

Mirza Sarwar was a driver and close associate of a famous religious scholar Professor Ahmad Rafique Akhtar. Originally from Gujar Khan, Sarwar was killed in Friday’s suicide attack by Taliban in Parade Lane Mosque in Rawalpindi, which claimed at least 40 lives. Mirza Sarwar has left behind four daughters and three sons to mourn his death.

Haroon-ur-Rasheed describes the person of (Chacha) Mirza Sarwar in the following op-ed. Haroon-ur-Rasheed also asks some questions from Taliban apologists namely Imran Khan and Munawar Hassan who claim that Taliban are only a ‘reaction’ (‘radd-e-amal’), not an evil ideology per se.
