One of such terrorist factories is currently situated in the Lahore High Court.
Chief Justice of the LHC, Justice Khwaja Muhammad Sharif, who is notorious for taking bribery from Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, considers that drone attacks are the cause of terrorism in Pakistan.
While innocent people of Pakistan are being killed by terrorists of the Sipah-e-Sahaba and Taliban in mosques, shrines, schools and markets, CJ of LHC is mourning the deaths of ‘innocent’ terrorists of Al Qaeda and Punjabi Taliban who are being eliminated by the US drone attacks only because their benefactors (ISI) are unwilling to control them.
……….
The CJ said, “Through the media, it is known to everyone that people of Fata are being killed by America in drone attacks. I, being chief justice of Punjab and a citizen of Pakistan, am of considered view that due to drone attacks, terrorist activities are being increased in the whole of Pakistan, and the citizens are killed in suicide attacks.”

The Pakistani government’s willingness to turn a blind eye to militancy exacerbates the problem. The Punjabi-dominated Pakistani Army is unwilling to fight its brethren. In a June 24 interview with the BBC, Pakistani Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas ruled out a Waziristan-style military operation in Punjab. “There needs to be a political decision to crack down on the jihadi organizations,” he noted. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League runs the provincial government and openly courts the terrorist groups for political support.
In February, Punjab’s law minister, the Pakistan Muslim League’s Rana Sanaullah, campaigned for by-election in Jhang district together with Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Ludhianvi, the leader of Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, a banned organization that facilitates al Qaeda recruitment in Punjab, in an official vehicle escorted jointly by police and militants. He also paroled two terrorists ahead of the polls. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif’s brother, pleaded with the Taliban to “spare Punjab” because his party shares the Taliban’s anti-Western agenda.
The Punjabi government’s support to banned terrorist groups recently came under fresh scrutiny after last year’s budget allocated around $1 million to Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a charity on the U.N. terrorist watch list and a front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a group responsible for the deadly 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Hiding In Plain Sight
Combating terrorists in Pakistan’s borderlands was hard enough. Just wait until they take over the country’s most populous province.

n a more troubling trend, religious political parties and extremist groups – emboldened by the constitutional decision to punish blasphemers with the death penalty – have been known to take the law into their own hand when allegations of blasphemy circulate. As recently as July 2009, dozens of members of Sipah-e-Sahaba (SSP), a banned sectarian organization, torched homes in the Christian community in Gojra, a city in the province of Punjab, leaving seven dead. The SSP was able to rally the mob within a matter of hours by falsely alleging that a Christian had defiled the Qur’an during a wedding ceremony.
Law-enforcement officers have consistently failed to stem violence against minorities. High-ranking police officials have since been arrested for standing idly by while the SSP broadcast anti-Christian propaganda from mosque loudspeakers in Gojra before the riots. And the Punjab police have been lambasted for failing to provide adequate security in the wake of the Lahore attacks against Ahmadis.
What is more troubling, however, is that successive democratically elected governments have failed to respond to the nationwide persecution of minorities. Since coming to power in 2008, the current Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government has announced on three occasions that the blasphemy laws will be reformed. It was only after the Lahore attacks against Ahmadis that PPP politicians began drafting legislation that called for harsh punitive measures against those who accuse others of blasphemy without sound proof. Though welcome, such legislation is a disappointing reminder that more radical changes to the constitution, which are needed, will not be effected in the foreseeable future.
Pakistan’s blasphemy laws need reforming

PTI UK strongly condemns attack in Lahore at the Data Darbar Shrine

(London July 01 2010) – PTI UK strongly condemns today’s terrorist act in Lahore at the Data Darbar Shrine- one of the oldest places of worship where 38 innocent civilians died and hundreds have been injured due to three suicide attacks. It seems that Lahore is the target in Punjab. We pray for the souls of the victims and offers condolences to the families of the deceased. We also hope that the injured recover soon.
This is not the first attack in Lahore. The question is why have none of the culprits been caught. Condemning & launching investigations is one thing and finding a real solution to this issue is another. This is a clear example of the government’s failure to protect the lives of the civilians and their inability to maintain the deteriorating law
and order in the country.
Suicide bombing should be condemned openly and the government needs to assess the reason behind the increased rate of bombings especially in Lahore.

Pakistan: The crisis of Punjab — Guardian Editorial
No one in Pakistan can tolerate a policy of accommodating jihadis, or keep them as backroom allies in the mistaken belief that this is the best way of containing them

THERE IS no end in sight to the game of religious delinquency and degeneration. Two alleged suicide bombers blew themselves up at the Data Ganj Bakhsh shrine on Thursday night at Lahore, killing at least 41 people and injuring 170 others. The first explosion took place in the basement reserved for ablution and the second in front of the shrine’s main building where a large number of people from across the province gather for worship on Thursdays.
Here you face Extremism with a strategy and with hi-fi precision. Surveillance cameras, walk through gates and metal detectors were rendered ineffective in advance. According to the Senior Superintendent of Police Chaudhry Shafiq two suicide attacks had been carried out and investigators had found the bombers’ skulls and limbs. He said ball-bearings and other material used in the blasts had also been collected. Lahore Commissioner Khusro Pervaiz Bakhtiar told journalists at the spot that the bombers had blown themselves up during a large congregation.
And to cap the story – the Pakistani Taliban denied any involvement in the attack.
The civilized society of the world in general and Muslims around the world in particular are no longer shocked when they witness the misdeeds of these religious fanatics in different places. Irrespective of what Talibans, their Wahabbi guides and admirers say, rest of the world knows well that they have hijacked the agenda of True Islam with the clandestine support of Wahabbi regimes of Middle East, Pakistan Military, Intelligence and the chieftains of tribal belts of Afghanistan. These brutalities can be traced back to the time of Syrians Rulers a few decades after the death of Prophet Mohd (PBUH). They had massacred the entire family of Prophet (PBUH). The martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of Prophet (PBUH) is remembered by Muslims in the Islamic month of Moharram every year to recall that crooked, inhuman and heinous past.
A few centuries ago, the world once again witnessed the revival of the same cruel streaks in Najd Province (in Arab Peninsula that time and now in Saudi Arabia ) where these marauders played the game of death and destruction in pursuance of their newly invented Wahabi doctrine.
In 1802, and army led by the sons of Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab (the founder of Wahhabism) and Muhammad ibn Saud occupied Taif and began a bloody massacre. A year later, the forces occupied the holy city of Mecca. They executed a campaign of destruction in many sacred places and leveled all the existing domes, even those built over the well of Zamzam. Wahhabis re-occupied Mecca in 1805.
In 1806, the Wahhabi army occupied Medina. They did not leave any religious building, including mosques, without demolishing it, whether inside or outside the Baqi’ (graveyard). They razed to ground the tombs of the Hazrat Fatima, the daughter of Prophet (PBUH) and all his grandsons, relatives, companions and highly revered personalities buried in different graveyards. They intended to demolish the grave of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), but would repeatedly change their minds. At this time, non-Wahhabi Muslims were prevented from performing the Hajj (pilgrimage). In 1805, Iraqi and Iranian Muslims were refused permission to perform Hajj, as were the Syrians in 1806 and Egyptians the following year. The Saudi leader at the time wanted the pilgrims to embrace his Wahhabi beliefs and accept his Wahhabi mission.
So, there is nothing new in the recurring incidents of madness as long as we have the people who preach and pratice Wahabiyat.
These Sufis are usually Syeds, the progeny of Prophet (PBUH) and their shrines in the Indian sub-continent symbolize love and amity amongst all religions. These are the epitomes of humanity, friendship, kindness, tolerance, universal brotherhood and all that is sublime in human life. These crazy killers, who call themselves the soldiers of Islam can’t see peace and brotherhood in any form.
For them the name of the game is the dream of Beautiful Virgin Girls in Heaven as a reward for their inhuman deeds in this world. They are ready to commit any act to reach them !
