Well Mr Nadeem,s article actually increases the confusion. Because as far as i remember Mr Ghamidi explained in Buehan tasawuff as a “different religion’ separate from Islam. With this notion i fail to understand Mr Nadeem point that Ghamidi admires it. Does he admires it as a different religion, wants to incrase its role as a different religion in Islamic republic?
I think if we take Ghamidi,s view, it will be hard to categorize Pakistan as muslim country bcz a a vast majority of populatio will become non muslim, which ofcourse will be free as per Ghamidi doctrine but neverheless non muslim
To me, Tasawwuf has no relationship with Islam; rather it is a parallel Deen. It has its own philosophy and is a separate way of thinking and practice. Shariah, which bestowed on us through the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), has its own source i.e. the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet(peace be upon him), but what is the source of Tasawwuf? If a person goes through the major books so far written on different aspects of Tasawwuf, he can easily feel great differences between teachings of the Quran and Sunnah and the Tasawwuf. Take any book compiled on the biographies of great sufi saints, you can never find in it a least glimpse of the life of any of the companions of the Prophet. Were they not Walis? By doing this, a great taboo has been created for the common Muslims. The companions of the Prophet lived a practical life and practiced throughout their lives but the sufis, what they did? Even they could not purified (Tazkia) their murids, as well as themselves, in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
Khursheed sb!

Kabhi Spain aur CARs ki history ko compare kar laina. You will find the difference from the fate of these 2 places as one was the place of followers while other was not. At the place of non followers (Spain) what is the fate of muslims?
I would like to have a copy of your paper.
