Ilyas Gujjar, a PML politician from Punjab, caught on camera
Politicians of Pakistan Muslim League (including all of its various factions, N, Q, F etc) usually claim to be guardians of Islam and Pakistan.
It is however a known fact that most of the PML politicians are as hypocritical as were their ideological forefathers (e.g., General Ayub Khan and General Zia-ul-Haq).
In this post, we present to our viewers yet another specimen of the ‘character’ and ‘integrity’ of a PML politician, Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas Gujjar. Once he used to be a loyalist to Nawaz Sharif, now he is a loyalist to Chaudharies of Gujrat; this change of heart however had little effect on that person’s integrity and character.
In 1988-90 and 1990-93, Ilyas Gujjar served as Advisor to Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif respectively during these periods.
Mubashir Lucman, in his talk-show, Point Blank, shows a video where a young student is brutally beaten by a policeman while Chaudhry Ilyas Gujjar (MPA from Kasur at that time) and his brother DSP Abbas Gujjar are ‘enjoying the show’.
The only crime of that innocent boy was that he was a class-fellow of Chaudhry Ilyas Gujjar’s son in Lahore’s FC college and tried to compete Gujjar’s son in college athletic competition. This obviously infuriated Ilyas Gujjar who decided to teach a lesson to the poor student.
While we may at times disagree with the political analysis or style of Mubashir Lucman, we believe that journalists such as him deserve our appreciation because of their bold stance in revealing such menaces in our society.

Personal Career & Interests Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas Khan son of Chaudhry Ahmad Khan was born on November 2, 1951 at Gujrat. He graduated in 1975 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. A businessman and an agriculturist, who remained Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab during 1988-90 and 199093; and served as Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab during these periods. He has been elected for the third term as Member Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in General Elections 2002. His nephew Chaudhry Khalid Asghar Ghural is a sitting Member of the Present Assembly (PP-108).

Shahbaz-led govt all set to rig Gujrat by-polls’
LAHORE: The Punjab government, at the behest of the chief minister, has set the stage for ‘massive rigging’ in the Gujrat by-elections and the Election Commission (EC) of Pakistan is also partially involved in the manipulation, Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Zaheeruddin said on Sunday. Addressing a press conference, Zaheer – who is also the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid general secretary – said the EC at one hand had imposed restrictions on transfers and postings, while it had kept its’ ‘eyes closed’ to the planned rigging at the other. He said the Punjab government had taken over the powers of the Gujrat district administration where local police had been ordered ‘not to perform’ its duties. Zaheer said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had ordered the Sialkot and Gujranwala police to be deputed in Gujrat in order to facilitate the government in rigging the by-polls. staff report

What happen to him, after the video was presented to the world in the TV program.
What happen to his brother DSP, shame on all in the Punjab administration, if no action is taken on this incidence.
How people, the common man can feel safe in Pakistan. When this country is run like a private state by few. I just Read his profile, it is really shameful, he must have done this many time, it is not first time. This create fear and support of terrorism in the country. When common man is so help less. I hope resourceful people in Pakistan will take some action against these brothers and people like him.
