Shameful statement by Balochistan Chief Minister
This Baloch Hal Editorial discusses the shameful statement made by Chief Minister Raisani regarding the missing persons of Balochistan:
Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani, the chief minister, astounded everyone in Khuzdar during a press-talk by saying that most of the missing persons had “deliberately gone underground to malign the country’s intelligence agencies”.
PPP supporters who are concerned about the rights of the missing persons of Balochistan must speak out against this shameful statement made by a PPP leader. This is especially important since President Zardari has made a historic apology to the people of Balochistan for atrocities committed against them by the army. PM Gillani has also announced the verified list of 992 missing persons from the province. Therefore the Chief Minister’s shameful statement is directly contradicting the government’s policy towards Balochistan.
Taking this argument further, it may be said that:
1. Z.A. Bhutto deliberately mishandled his case in the Supreme Court of Pakistan in order to malign the judge-general alliance.
2. Benazir Bhutto deliberately endangered her life in Rawalpindi in order to malign the security agencies.
iss sadgi peh kon na mar jaye ay khuda…
Perhaps, CM Raisani may care to consider the following advice offered in Daily Times:
“A comprehensive accounting for missing persons is the only way the review of the role of the intelligence agencies will make any sense, since it is these agencies that are the authors of the missing persons regime.”

its like undoing BB’s great Quetta speech of 15 dec 2007 . where she publicly apologized the baloch of the atrocities they had to face during previous PPP regimes.admitted father’s mistake is not easy in our culture but BB apologized the baloch people because of the military operation which took place during ZAB’s regime.
