ISI man on a suicide mission in India listed as ‘Martyr’ on Pak Army website
The Shuhda (Martyrs) Corner on the Pakistan Army Website
ISI man who died in Delhi a martyr for Pak
It took over a decade for the Pakistani army to accept that its 500 soldiers and officers were involved in infiltrations along the Line of Control and were killed during during the 1999 Kargil war with India. Their names were recently listed as “martyrs” in ‘Shuhada’s (martyrs) corner’ of the Pakistan army’s website. And yesterday, there was another addition to the list: Naik Zulfiqar Ahmed — an ISI operative who was on a “suicide attack mission” to India.
Pakistani army’s website, www.pakistanarmy.gov.pk, claims that the ISI operative died at New Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital on November 16, 2007. Notwithstanding the fact that he was on a suicide attack operation, Naik Zulfiqar Ahmed’s name has been listed in the “martyr’s corner”.
The listing stated that Ahmed was on a “suicide attack” operation at the time of his death. The cause of death was given as “neptrrotic syndrome/ARI”. Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disorder while ARI refers to acute respiratory infection.
Ahmed’s army serial no was 1726016 and he belonged to the engineering wing. His formation or unit was HQs 30 Corps/Dte Gen ISI, according to the listing, which has a picture of Ahmed.
As expected, the move invited sharp reactions from New Delhi. The (Indian) Army said the “intentions and ways” of Pakistani army had “become clear” with the neighbouring nation owning up a suicide bomber.
Indian Army’s Reaction
Chief of Indian Army Staff General VK Singh said: “I have nothing to say on what they (Pakistani Army) have put up on its website. But if it has (owned up), then it clearly show what their intentions and ways are and what their next move will be.” “All I can say is we have to be more alert and only then we can protect our people and troops,” Gen Singh said while speaking to reporters here on the sidelines of an Army function. Delhi hospital admits treating Pakistani ‘suicide’ attacker
2010-12-14 18:40:00
New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS) A Pakistani patient, owned up as a ‘suicide’ attacker and an operative of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) by his country’s army, was indeed treated in Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he died three years ago, enquiries by IANS have revealed.
According to hospital sources, a Pakistani patient named Zulfiqar Ahmed was admitted in the multi-speciality private medical facility in November 2007.
‘He died of renal failure,’ an official at the hospital told IANS, requesting anonymity because ‘our legal section is digging deeper into the case before coming on record’.
The sources said that the hospital was looking into the records to find more about the patient, who according to the Pakistan Army website was on a ‘suicide attack’ operation.
‘It is a three-year-old record and it will take time to examine,’ another official said, as the hospital administration refused to say another more.
The Pakistani Army’s website – http://www.pakistanarmy.gov.pk – claimed that an ISI operative who was on a ‘suicide attack’ operation died in a New Delhi hospital Nov 16, 2007.
The posting was in the ‘Shuhada’s (martyrs’) corner’ of the website, which had previously revealed the list of Pakistan’s dead in the 1999 Kargil operation.
It named the operative as Zulfiqar Ahmed, his army number as 1726016 and his rank as naik.
The operative, the website claims, died of kidney failure and acute respiratory infection at New Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital.
The website however doesn’t mention where the operation was to be conducted as there was no suicide attack in Delhi or in nearby areas in or around November 2007.
The major terror attack in India before November 2007 were the Lumbini Park and Gokul Chat bombings in Hyderabad Aug 25 that year, in which 42 people were killed.
The martyr’s section lists 25 ISI operatives, with varying causes of death. Besides Ahmed, one more ISI agent who died in India in May 1973 is identified as Lance Naik Abdul Ghani.

ISI suicide agent is Pak army man
14 Dec 2010, 1510 hrs IST
It’s the clearest admission exposing the link between the Pakistan Army and the country’s spy agency Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). The nexus and Pakistan’s anti-India agenda can no longer be hidden. ISI man who died in a Delhi hospital is listed as a ‘martyr’ on the website of Pakistani Army.
Even more startling, the man identified as Zulfiqar Ahmed is listed under the Kargil martyr’s section, but surprisingly, the ISI agent died only in 2007. The website claims Ahmed died while on a suicide attack operation.
The Army website clearly states Zulfiqar Ahmed’s details including his service number. He’s been listed as an operative on a suicide mission. The army man has been listed as an ISI operative who died in Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital, while on duty.
Army No: 1726016
Name: Zulfiqar Ahmed
Arm / Service: Engrs
Operation: Suicide Attack
Formation / Unit: HQ 30 Corps/ Dte Gen ISI
Date of Shahadat: 16 November 2007
Place of Shahadat: New Delhi
Cause of Shahadat: Neptrotic syndrome/ARI at Ganga Ram Hosp New Delhi
http://www.timesnow.tv/ISI-suicide-agent-is-Pak-army-man/articleshow/4360482.cms
Delhi or nearby areas witnessed no suicide attack in or around November 16, 2007. But it is likely that the ISI agent on Delhi suicide operation was arrested or captured and brought to the hospital for treatment.
Ahmed’s native place has been listed as Bhimber in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), an area frequently used as an infiltration point by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists.
While it is difficult to digest that the Pakistani Army would openly acknowledge on its website that it sends suicide attackers to India, however it would be the first official confirmation of the same if the entry is genuine.

Delhi hospital confirms ISI agent’s death, details vanish from Pak site
Posted: Wed Dec 15 2010, 04:15 hrs
A day after The Indian Express reported on the entry on the Pakistan Army website about the “martyrdom” in Delhi of an ISI agent on a “Suicide Attack” operation, top sources in the capital’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital confirmed that the death did indeed occur.
The ISI operative, Naik Zulfiqar Ahmed of the HQ 30 Corps, was referred to the hospital by the Pakistan High Commission, which also paid his medical bills, the sources said.
He was admitted in the hospital’s nephrology department on November 1, 2007, and died “after fifteen days, most probably from kidney-related problems”, a source said. No foul play was suspected, he added.
According to information put up on the Pakistan Army website’s Shuhada’s (Martyrs’) Corner, Ahmed, from Bhimber in PoK, died on November 16, 2007 at “Ganga Ram Hosp N/Delhi”. The “Cause of Shahadat” was “Neptrrotic Syndrome/ARI” (a reference to nephrotic syndrome and acute respiratory infection).
The video clip shows that on Pakistan military’s website, the picture and details of the ISI suicide bomber are placed right beneath the picture of the founder of Pakistan, Muhamamd Ali Jinnah. Now, this is called real blasphemy!

Here is an account of terrorist incidents in India in 2007:
18 February 2007 Samjhauta Express bombings 68
May 18, 2007 At least 13 people were killed, including 4 killed by the Indian police in the rioting that followed, in the bombing at Mecca Masjid, Hyderabad that took place during the Friday prayers 13
August 25, 2007 Two blasts in Hyderabad’s Lumbini park and a restaurant 42
October 11, 2007 One blast at a shrine of a Sufi Muslim saint in the town of Ajmer[13] 3
October 14, 2007 One blast in a movie theater in the town of Ludhiana on the Muslim holy day of Eid ul-Fitr[14] 6
November 24, 2007 A series of near-simultaneous explosions at courthouse complexes in the cities of Lucknow, Varanasi, and Faizabad[15] 16
Some interesting comments from an Indian website:
“You do remember Kargil dont you ? How the Pakistani Army denied for years that it was involved in Kargil and infact refused to take back bodies of their soldiers. Infact it is only recently that the soldiers who were killed in the Kargil war have been featured on the Pakistan Army website. Strange are the ways of the ISI and the Pakistani Army.”
“Waiting for inevitable accusation Hindu Zionists hacked glorious Pakistan Army’s website”
Dear friends,
Such actions by ISI did not bring any good for either nation.
However it reminds me of an old news of Pakistan army’s Colonel Karnal Sher Khan, who died during the Kargil war.The man who fought on Tiger Hill from Pakistan’s side was later given the Nishan e Haidar, Pakistan’s highest gallantry award on the recommendation of the Indian Army.

I guess there has to be a code of honor among warriors.

Pak Army site goes offline, comes back without ISI man’s details
Posted: Wed Dec 15 2010, 04:12 hrs
The official website of the Pakistan Army (www.pakistanarmy.gov.pk) remained offline for most of Tuesday, with a one-line announcement blaming “technical reasons” across the blank white screen. When it came back online in the evening, the site was slow, and the record of Zulfiqar Ahmed was missing from the database of ‘martyrs’. Also missing from the database at the Shuhada’s Corner were the names and ‘martyrdom’ details of all soldiers whose unit had been earlier listed as ‘ISI’. While researching the story on Ahmed on Monday evening, The Indian Express had found 25 ISI men in the database of dead soldiers. Till late Tuesday evening, there had been no official reaction from Pakistan.

Interestingly (but not surprising) there is an almost total blackout on this news item in Pakistan’s electronic and print media (and blogs).
The same blackout is visible on Shia genocide and the Parachinar blockade in Pakistan.
Then we have an urban, establishment stooge type journalist who is apparently “tired of attacks on the Pakistani media”.
There is no way any of the Pakistani channel/newspaper or any “anchor” can report this event in Pakistan. However things are now changed since 90’s , now we have the accessible internet.
I wish the lower rank of the Pakistan army soon realize how they are being abused by the napak generals.
Message now on Shuhada’s Corner
Database is being updated. Sorry for inconvenience.
He was a proper employee of Pakistan high commision in Delhi. He was there legally under diplomatic protection. He became sick through kidney failure and died in Ganga Ram hospital, Delhi after long treatment. He was properly handed over to Pakistan and has been burried in Pakistan.
see his death certificate from GANGARAM hospital clearly mentioning the reason of death….
he died due to kidney failure

This news is not true.

that website was hacked and hackers changed the information.
@Faraz
Are you the new spokesman for Pakistan Army? Can you produce an official statement by the ISPR that their website was hacked?
Also, I notice with interest the links you have posted to Zaid Hamid, Dr Israr Ahmed and Nasim Hijazi on your blog.
Now that shows not only your professional (ISI – Zaid Hamid) links but also ideological (extremist Deobandi – Dr Israr Ahmed) links and intellectual bankruptcy (rape of history by Nasim Hijazi).
Then these are three key traits of all ISI’s assets, you are no exception!
The ISI strikes back:
The usual suspects, Ahmad Quraishi, Zaid Hamid, ‘Syed Adeeb’, in action:

‘Et tu, PPPP?’
The stunning part is how a Pakistani website that is part of ruling PPPP’s network of online propaganda promptly in endorsed the Indian intelligence reports and supported the reports published by the Indian media. The site runs propaganda material for President Asif Zardari and other PPPP stalwarts. Senior journalist Hamid Mir accused this site of being run from Washington by Mr. Zardari’s close aide and envoy in Washington Husain Haqqani.
The PPPP site, called LUBP, in a post titled, Pakistan army owns up the ISI man on a suicide attack mission in India, said:
“Online factories of suicide bombers: An ISI production: LUBP has been boldly stating for the last many years that Pakistan Army’s continued policy of jihadi and sectarian suicide attacks […] Now it has been once again proven without doubt that jihadi and sectarian suicide attacks are an integral element of the Pakistan Army’s military strategy”
The link shows this PPPP site relying heavily on India propaganda. It did not verify if the Indian news is correct and posted two links, both of Indian TV channels, to prove the Indian allegations.
The Indian army chief is nincompoop who is willing to buy a junior intelligence analyst’s ridiculous story based on a minor data entry error. But what is PPPP’s excuse for endorsing Indian propaganda? And does President Zardari’s media adviser Mrs. Farahnaz Isphahani know what the party’s media cell’s kids are doing online?

Indian Army Chief Taken For A Ride By His Own Staff
Posted by Web Editor on Dec 16th, 2010
Why Is Ruling PPPP’s website joining Indian media in attacking Pakistan Army?
Indian media and army chief misled by a junior Indian intelligence analysts’ report
This story shows how India is a large country with the mindset of a mouse. It demonstrates how Indian spy agents spend hours dissecting a public website of the Pakistan Army. In this case, an Indian intelligence officer analyzing the names of Pakistani martyrs posted on Pakistan Army’s official website thought he ‘discovered’ something. He shared it with Indian Army chief. Now all major Indian newspapers are celebrating this discovery.
Amazingly, one of the official websites of President Zardari’s PPPP is also joining Indian celebrations. Here, a Pakistani website, Brasstacks.pk, shows how the Indian military might have been taken for a ride by incompetent intelligence officers.
SPECIAL REPORT | Thursday | 16 December 2010
http://WWW.PAKNATIONALISTS.COM
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—Indian Army chief General V. K. Singh is still smarting from several recent hits. Apart from land scams, there are corruption cases personally involving the army chief, and an internal power tussle involving him and supporters of his predecessor Gen. Deepak Kapoor. The latest hit came from an unexpected quarter: United States.
A recently leaked cable from US embassy in New Delhi has ridiculed Indian army’s Cold Start doctrine as a ‘mix between myth and reality’ and described Indian soldiers as ‘slow and slumbering’, not a good assessment for the next superpower.
To top it off, the website of India’s premier domestic intelligence agency, CBI, remains inaccessible almost two weeks after a hit by Pakistani cyber activists responding to an unprovoked Indian cyber attack, possibly by Indian intelligence, that defaced almost forty websites belonging to the Government of Pakistan.
So how does Asia’s next military power react to all this and pull up the troops’ sagging morale?
Answer: the way Gen. Singh did this week. He picked up a Pakistani army soldier’s name, a man who worked for the Pakistani mission in New Delhi and died three years ago from kidney failure, and claimed the man was on a suicide mission in India.
You would think a statement from India’s highest army officer would be based on serious reporting and analysis. But as we have explained in earlier reports, India’s foreign and military policies often have a lot in common with the country’s racy musicals of the Indian film industry: they are noisy, tacky and exaggerated.
What prompted the Indian army chief to step in and personally comment on this dangerous disclosure? The answer, believe it or not, is a data-entry error.
How the data entry error occured
‘This is how they were duped’
Indian intelligence’s cyber watchers were carefully studying the website of the Pakistan Army http://www.PakistanArmy.gov.pk and particularly a page on the site called Martyrs Corner, where the names of Pakistani martyrs on the Afghan border are regularly updated.
According to official documents released by Brasstacks.pk, a Pakistani think tank focused on defense-related issues, Naik [or Corporal] Zulfiqar Ahmed was assigned to guarding duties at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. He was duly accredited by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. He developed a kidney problem in November 2007 and died at the Ganga Ram Hospital in the Indian capital. Eight Indian doctors examined his condition and endorsed the cause of death. He was embalmed and then handed over to the Pakistan mission for burial back home.
That was November 2007.
Fast forward to December 2010. A Pakistani data-entry officer mistakenly added Nk Zulfiqar’s name to the Martyrs Corner at the official Pakistan Army website. A screen shot of the wrong entry shows how the mistake was made. The entry form is standard and most deaths have been a result of suicide attacks by terrorists. So ‘suicide attack’ is often written in the ‘Operation’ column. The data entry officer did not pay attention to a glaring contradiction a couple of lines below where Nk Zulfiqar’s cause of death is clearly written as ‘Neptrotic Syndrome at Ganga Ram Hospital N/Delhi’.
But apparently one of Indian intelligence’s analysts who analyzed the Pakistani data twisted the material to conclude the dead corporal was on a suicide mission in India.
A junior Indian military intelligence officer got excited over this ‘discovery’. What is not clear is how someone as senior as the Indian army chief was misled into believing this was such a credible piece of intelligence information that warranted a personal comment from India’s army commander.
This is how Gen. Singh commented on this news:
“I have nothing to say on what they (the Pakistan Army) has put up on its website. But if it has, then it clearly show what their intentions and ways are and what their next move will be,” Singh told reporters here when asked about the Pakistan Army’s website posting. All I can say is we have to be more alert and only then we can protect the people and our troops.”
Even more scandalous is how India’s major news organizations are hand in glove with the Indian intelligence. Not a single Indian newspaper or TV news channel has deviated from the official story script.
Pakistani analysts know in detail about India media’s impressive unanimity in toeing the official line without double checking, but this realization escapes American and British media.
Big names in the India media ran the same report produced by the Indian intelligence without independent verification. Here are some of the headlines:
– Hindustan Times: Pak ‘owning’ bomber makes its intentions clear: army chief
– Rediff News: Pak honors ISI agent on suicide mission in India
– Times of India: ISI suicide agent is Pak army man
– Even MSN’s Indian office didn’t escape publishing Indian military propaganda, here’s MSN News: ISI man on Delhi ‘suicide op’ is martyr on Pak Army’s website
– Indian Express: Delhi hospital confirms ISI agent’s death, details vanish from Pak site

hahaha! “The stunning part is how a Pakistani website that is part of ruling PPPP’s network of online propaganda promptly in endorsed the Indian intelligence reports and supported the reports published by the Indian media.”
unlike Ahmed Quraishi, whose own network of lies is run directly from GHQ, LUBP does not take dictation from Farahnaz Isapahani or Hussain Haqqani. We publish whatever we think is the truth. Not something that anyone should expect Ahmed Quraishi to understand though.
That’s called obsession. Indian media and society badly needs ISI as the villain for all wrongs committed in their country.
If the guy died of liver problems at a hospital in New Delhi, then surely he was in some official capacity which has an explanation. Otherwise, there would have been a big outcry already at that time.
Furthermore, Pak Army jawans have been victims of suicide attacks themselves, which is the probably the reason why the sepoy under discussion was wrongly listed as a victim of suicide attack.
Let’s build capacity to understand and filter out stupid propaganda.
