The Varying responses to the death of Saudi monarch Abdullah
The Saudi kingdom along with the other tin pot monarchies in the Gulf like Qatar and UAE represent the fountainhead of Takfiri Salafi-Deobandi inspired terrorism. The different responses to the death of the Saudi monarch provide a snapshot of a divided, confused and hypocritical global order. Let us examine some of these responses.
Firstly, one had to see the responses of the US and UK. From John Kerry, the US Secretary of State to David Cameroon, the British Prime Minister, the responses were the perfect blend of sycophancy and hypocrisy that bothered on the tragically comic. To see Abdullah being touted as a “reformer” and the subject of such tributes as this one by British PM David Cameroon is bound to leave anyone with even a modicum of decency utterly speechless!
“He will be remembered for his long years of service to the Kingdom, for his commitment to peace and for strengthening understanding between faiths.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the Saudi Royal Family and the people of the Kingdom at this sad time.
“I sincerely hope that the long and deep ties between our two Kingdoms will continue and that we can continue to work together to strengthen peace and prosperity in the world.”
After the most recent massacre in forgotten Nigeria by the Wahabi Boko Haram, it is quite nauseating to hear terms like “commitment to peace” and “understanding between faiths” being associated with the former monarch of Saudi Arabia!
“King Abdullah was a man of wisdom & vision. US has lost a friend & Kingdom of #Saudi Arabia, Middle East, and world has lost a revered leader”
“A revered leader”!
Does this apply to the grossly misogynist worldview that still exists in Saudi Arabia. Where women are publically and gruesome executed for exercising their basic rights!
And then of course there is the statement by the Clintons:
“And we are grateful for his support of efforts for peace in the Middle East; our close economic cooperation; the Kingdom’s humanitarian efforts around the world; especially its contributions after the earthquake in Haiti; and his efforts to modernize Saudi Arabia’s economy and education systems – as embodied by King Abdullah University, the Kingdom’s first coeducational institution of higher education,” it said.”

The irony of Bill Clinton speaking on behalf of his wife is unmistakable. Shouldn’t Hillary, the front running candidate for the next President of the United States, issue her own statement instead of still being in the shadow of her husband!
The world knows of has seen what Saudi “humanitarian efforts” and “education systems” have lead to in terms of the spread of the cancerous Wahabi ideology and it is obscene for the Clintons, themselves the beneficially of Wahabi petrodollars to issue such perverse, one-sided flattery.
From 9/11 to the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993, and from Bali to Boston, the roots of Salafi-Deobandi inspired terrorism are based in Saudi Arabia with 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers being Saudi citizens.
Similarly, it was interesting to see the responses closer to home in Pakistan. Pakistan’s current PM, the Saudi Stooge Nawaz Sharif ran back to his masters in Riyadh in less than a week after returning from there. Such servitude to one’s foreign patrons is quite pathetic given the Deobandi-inspired terror threats in Pakistan and the current fuel crisis in the dead of winter. For the lifestyle liberals of The Friday Times, this Saudi stooge is “Anti-establishment”
Then there are Pakistan’s secular sectarians – a group of (mostly) urbanized, closet Deobandis who were using this occasions to bait Shias into the dishonest Saudi vs. Iran binary. For this group of for hire opportunists, a liberal disguise provides the perfect opportunity to buttress dishonest discourses and create more straw men arguments.
On the day when Sunni Sufis and Shias were understandably venting their relief at the death of a monarch whose kingdom threatens their very existence, these secular sectarians were taunting them to curse Iran. Some of these highly selective Secular sectarians can be identified as those who were the cheerleaders of ISIS when it was still the FSA just a year ago.
Given their current statements, it would seem that King Abdullah was the king of Iran or Venezuela, not Saudi Arabia.
For this group, the Sunni Barelvi and Shia victims of Saudi-funded Deobandi terrorism must curse Iran in equal measure as Saudi Arabia. Some of the more hateful ones amongst this group have no problems concocting lies by misrepresenting blogs like LUBP as Khamenai mouthpieces when the facts point to the contrary!
Others want Sunni Barelvis, Shias and Christians to curse Iran, Latin America and probably even Burkina Faso on the death of the Saudi monarch – ironically the only country on this planet named after the ruling family!
While no one wants to be an apologist for the human rights situation in Iran, one fails to see why Latin America and Iran must be drawn into a news item concerning Saudi Arabia – a country whose intelligence chiefs comprising of other “princely” thugs who want to actively conduct a Genocide of Shias worldwide! – Unless of course the goal of these secular sectarians is to deflect and mute the criticism of Saudi Arabia.
The fact that the leaders of United States and Europe literally bow down and allow Saudi Arabia and other rogue Gulf States to radicalise Western youth in the heartland of their own countries seems to have escaped these secular sectarians.
What is the difference between Pakistani ISI generals like General Kiyani and David Cameroon when both of them have allowed the proliferation of Salafi and Deobandi madrasses in their country?
Similarly, the injustice of collectively punishing the citizens of Iran with the most harshest and counter productive sanctions because of the irresponsible acts and statements of their mullah leaders escapes the hyper morality standards of these opportunist hypocrites masquerading as liberals.
Ironically, the same secular sectarians are mute on the atrocious and servile statements given by the Kerrys, the Clintons and the Cameroons. These are world leaders who lecture the rest of us on human rights while bowing meekly to the monarchs of the most repressive regimes of the world!
While it is heartening and normal to see proud Americans and Britishers openly criticizing their leaders for their servility to a Wahabi monarchy, it is quite shameful to see some elitest Pakistani “liberals” silence on this.
In the light of all this, one cannot help remembering the dignified response of the late Benazir Bhutto to the death of Pakistan’s most hated tyrant, the military dictator General Zia ul Haq.
Benazir Bhutto’s Words on Zia ul Haq Death by whitengreen
Her words are instructive on how one should address the death of the late Saudi monarch Abdullah. There should be no gloating but an assessment of the current situation and a humble vision of the future – the qualities of the late Benazir Bhutto who is often reviled and abused by some of these very secular sectarians who are desperately trying to deflect Saudi crimes on to Iran and Latin America!
While Abdullah was the monarch of the most repressive regime on this planet, he was, scarily, relatively more moderate compared to his other thuggish relatives like the Banders, Muqrins, Talals and Nayefs. That the death of this monarch does not signal any positive change in the Saudi policy of ideologically creating and financially supporting genocidal Salafi and Deobandi terror groups like ISIS/FSA/Jabat al Nusra, Boko Haram, Taliban, ASWJ-LeJ and Al Qaeda.
This is not the time to bait, gloat or flatter. The intellectual struggle to rid the world of the Takfiri Salafi and Deobandi cancer that is the root of terrorism and whose roots in turn are based in Saudi Arabia is still on.
Thought fill analysis.
