Peshawar Church Bombing Culprits: Taliban or Us?
The news I heard today was devastating. I could picture the whole scenario of how it is for Christians to go church every Sunday, the preparation done all week by families and the excitement for Christians to dedicate their Sunday mornings to the praise and worship of their God. And then to be met with such barbaric inhumane attack just broke my heart. Today leaving the Church didn’t mean leaving the Church to go home to enjoy a warm lunch instead it meant to leave someone they dearly loved their father, mother, brother, sister, friend, or relative behind and to spend the rest of their lives trying to fill up that hole left in their lives.
Sudden loss is the most painful and irrecoverable kind of loss that the human mind and heart can face, the pain always remains alive. Its very easy for a brainwashed men who are engineered for one purpose alone; death, to blow themselves up. But for the victims who have to live with the effects of such incidents it is hell.
Last night I was grieving over the Christian Boota Masih who was slaughtered under the false accusations of blasphemy and today this bloody massacre at the All Saints Church in Peshawar where 78 were killed and over a 100 injured. Being Christians, we know that persecution is a part of our lives and that we will face it. But what truly breaks my heart is the flood of innocent blood that is washing over our country. Pakistan is drowning under this blood and we have to answer for it all. What is our justification for it?
Whenever I have condemned such atrocities on the social media the strongest response I have received is that I am trying to defame Pakistan. That I am anti Pakistani. And the biggest of all is that I am anti Islam. I was shocked to see my very own friends who have known me for half their lives say this to me just because I stood up for justice and equality for a human being that too my own country fellow. I was willing to put myself in their shoes and understand their loss. To understand how I would have reacted if I had faced that persecution, discrimination or hate. Which I have on various occasions. What I never understood was how speaking up for peace for the Shias, Ahmadis, Christians, Hindus and Sikhs that belonged to Pakistan was anti Pakistan? Or as Muslims claim that Islam is the religion of peace and equality how speaking for another human being was anti Islam?
It is very easy for us to blame the Taliban for every slaughter and barbaric act that takes place in our country. To wash our hands off everything saying our country is corrupt and there is nothing we can do. It is very easy to be delusional and live in a fantasy Pakistan that is only limited to our houses or dreams. And not come out of our little bubble. But WE are the true culprits because we see, know and understand what is going on. We know what is happening is wrong but we are not willing to speak up, We are not willing to call a spade a spade we do not want to come out of the little protective bubble we live in and reach out to our neighbors who are suffering. The thing is if we continue to live like this we will not have a country anymore. There will be no land, houses or families. There will only be blood. And the fault will not be anyone’s but ours because we were too busy or too scared to care.
As William Wilberforce says, “You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know.” We are letting our country go into the wrong hands and there is no one else to blame but us.
What happened in Peshawar is against the teachings of Islam and our beloved holy prophet (saw, pbuh). The government, both federal and provincial are committing blasphemy by supporting these culprits and should be punished according to the law of the land (death penalty). Where is chief justice and suo moto? Look at the pictures of those “LAANATI MULLAHS” sitting in the meeting of council of islamic ideology. These are the “ulma-e-deen” about which holy prophet (pbuh) stated would be worst creation on the face of the earth. The other shameless incident happened in sialkot where quranic verses were white washed from ahmadiyya mosque. What are we doing? Are we trying are best to be worst then “KUFAAR-E-MECCA”? We are on the right path to do so.Take lessons from Bangladesh. What they did to jamaat islami should be done to PML-N,JUI,PTI, and anybody and everybody who promotes hate.
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” – Romans 12:19
Yes, Being Christians, we know that persecution is a part of our lives and that we will face it.
All we can do is forgive, pray and wait for God’s justice.
47% people of Pakistan consider Shias (who profess the Islamic Kalima) as Kafirs so what to talk about Christians. His nation is doomed. Someone please take this nation out of its misery. Either destroy it in one go instead of slowly killing its residents one-by-one OR publicly hang only these five people – Tahir Ashrafi, Munawar Hasan, Malik Ishaq, Fareed Paracha, Javed Ibrahim Paracha. I can guarantee that things will steadily improve after we get rid of these monsters. But does the nation have the will?
Nice pièce.
What about communautarism as root cause?
They think they are doing their God’s work. They assume they can decide and define a work for God and carry it out themselves. Self proclaimed God’s proxies. His own children killing His own children.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ” (Romans 8:35)

“This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by God! I hold out against anything that displeases them. No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries. No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’ houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God’s covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).”

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is needed to get
setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% certain. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
