Al Qaeda in Syria needs our help – by Senator John McCain
US creates Al Qaida in the 1980s. US silently watches then lures Taliban for oil corridor via Afghanistan. US invades to fight Al Qaida over 9/11. US invades Iraq on the pretext of WMD lies fabricated by the CIA. US supports Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. US now arming Al Qaida Syrian rebels. And US taxpayers are paying for all this!

McCain Spends Memorial Day with Al-Qaeda Allies
In May 2013, Senator John McCain snuck into Syria this Memorial Day to spend the day with the terrorist-affiliated Free Syrian Army, in violation of both Syrian Law and likely of international law. While meeting with the Syrian insurgents and FSA Commander, Gen. Salem Idris, McCain likely assured his allies that it was only a matter of time before the US began overtly transferring the weapons it is currently facilitating covertly.
Gen. Idriss is the conduit for hundreds of millions of dollars in US aid, and untold millions in covert CIA and US Special Forces assistance. He swears he does not cooperate with the terrorist-designated Al-Nusra Front, but he only coordinates with the Al-Nusra-allied Arhar al Sham.
About McCain’s meeting partner:
“Idriss said his group didn’t work with al Qaida-affiliated rebels who belonged to the Nusra Front. But he said the military councils worked closely with another Islamist rebel faction, Arhar al Sham, that’s known to coordinate its actions with Nusra and shares many of Nusra’s beliefs about how Syria should be governed if Assad is vanquished.”
But Idriss makes no secret of his admiration for Al-Nusra. He said recently:
“Jabhat al-Nusra has proved to be the most effective in fighting the Syrian army.”
During McCain’s secret and illegal visit, Idriss called for even more US intervention on the side of the insurgents:
“The visit of Senator McCain to Syria is very important and very useful especially at this time. We need American help to have change on the ground; we are now in a very critical situation. What we want from the U.S. government is to take the decision to support the Syrian revolution with weapons and ammunition, anti-tank missiles and anti-aircraft weapons. Of course we want a no-fly zone and we ask for strategic strikes against Hezbollah both inside Lebanon and inside Syria.”
As the New York Times has reported, the existence of a secular Syrian opposition force is a fantasy. We can extrapolate, therefore, that McCain either was duped into participating into a Potemkin-like excursion into an “It’s a Small World” ride, or he knowingly met with extremist forces bent on exterminating what little is left of Christianity in Syria and imposing extreme Islamist rule over once-secular Syria.
For his part, McCain urges the US to become even more entangled in the insurgency against the Syrian government, all the while complaining about Russian involvement. He said not long ago:
“I’ve been known to be an optimist, but here are the Russians sending them up-to-date missiles, continued flights of arms going into Syria, Putin keeps our secretary of State waiting for three hours… It doesn’t lend itself to optimism, all it does is delay us considering doing what we really need to do. The reality is that Putin will only abandon Assad when he thinks that Assad is losing. Right now, at worst it’s a stalemate. In the view of some, he is succeeding.”
No word as to whether while meeting with the Free Syrian Army, McCain also sat down with FSA Commander Abu Sakkar, recently famous for his ability to turn the organs of a dead Syrian soldier into a battlefield snack…

Shame on McCain and USA establishment. Really grateful for LUBP, who are staying non-biased despite liberal stance.
Arizona Senator John McCain, who supposedly visited the CIA’s al-Qaeda mercenaries in Syria earlier this week, said on Thursday that weapons sent to the radical Salafists will not fall into the wrong hands.
“We can identify who these people are. We can help the right people,” McCain told CIA asset Anderson Cooper, an anchor at the Pentagon’s psychological operation headquartered at CNN.
McCain defied reality and said only a small portion of the so-called rebels are radical jihadists fighting to convert Syria into failed state dominated by Sharia law. In fact, the CIA sponsored “rebels” are largely radical Sunni Salafists who behead Christians and feed them to dogs.
Remarkably, McCain said al-Nusra only accounts for 7,000 of the 100,000 mercenaries inside Syria. In fact, al-Nusra and al-Qaeda dominate the effort to topple al-Assad. “Every single day, more and more extremists flow in… They’re flowing in all the time, these extremists. But they still do not make up a sizable portion,” he said.
“Nowhere in rebel-controlled Syria is there a secular fighting force to speak of,” the New York Times reported in April. “The Islamist character of the opposition reflects the main constituency of the rebellion,” the newspaper stated, explaining that this fact is due to “the failure of more mainstream rebel groups to secure regular arms supplies,” in other words negligence on the part of the United States as it has supposedly failed to more actively support the Free Syrian Army, initially a hodgepodge of secular Syrians who were woefully ill-prepared to fight al-Assad’s well-trained army. Earlier this month, it was reported that FSA mercenaries are defecting to al-Nusra and the radical Muslim groups in record numbers.
Despite McCain’s delusions, the man he supposedly met with – Gen. Salem Idris, the leader of the Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army – has teamed up with Arhar al-Sham, a partner of al-Nusra Front, recently designated as a terrorist organization by the United States.
“Idris claims his group doesn’t work with Al-Nusra, but the two have fought side by side and shared arms in their battle to overthrow Bashar Assad,” writes Bob Livingston. “The question is: Why isn’t McCain on his way to Guantanamo Bay wearing an orange jumpsuit, handcuffs and shackles?”
Finally, it is something of a stretch to believe that a U.S. senator would venture into a dangerous war zone. The event appears to be another loosely orchestrated establishment media fantasy created for propaganda purposes as neocons and other globalist warmongers in the United States, Britain and France prepare for a more active and murderous role in a conflict initiated by the United States as part of its “Arab Spring” operation to install a new round of dictators – this time, under the banner of the Muslim Brotherhood – throughout the Middle East.

‘West insincere in its Syria policy’
US Republican Senator Rand Paul has blasted US involvement in supporting al-Qaeda-linked militant gangs in Syria and recent secret visit to a Syrian border town by pro-Israeli Senator John McCain to meet with the anti-Damascus insurgents.
“I’m very worried about getting involved in a new [US] war in Syria,” said the senator from Kentucky in remarks at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California, right-wing US daily The Washington Times reported Sunday.
McCain, a veteran Republican senator from Arizona and his political party’s defeated presidential nominee in 2008 US elections, has come under “harsh scrutiny” since posing for photos with al-Qaeda-linked Syrian insurgent militants, who have reportedly kidnapped 11 Shia civilians from Lebanon, the daily adds.
“They say there are some pro-Western people (militants) and we’re going to vet them. Well, apparently we’ve got a senator (McCain) over there who got his picture taken with some kidnappers, so I don’t know how good a job we’re going to do vetting those who are going to get the [American] arms,” Paul further added, to the laughter and applause of his audience.
Senator Paul also insisted that many anti-Damascus militants supported by the US and its allies in Europe and the Middle East are affiliated with al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra terrorist group, cited in many reports for involvement in numerous atrocities against Syrian civilians and pro-government forces.
“If you want to get involved in a war in Syria,” he said of a potential US plan to interfere in the country in support of the insurgent gangs, “You will be allied with al-Qaeda,” a shadowy terrorist group that the American government claims to be at war with at a global level.
McCain slipped into Syria on May 27 to meet with foreign-backed insurgent commanders, who asked for US bombing of Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, “targeted strikes,” and the establishment of a no-fly zone over Syria.
McCain’s brief and largely publicity intrusion into Syria came near Syria’s Bab Salameh border crossing with Turkey, where he reportedly held talks with leaders of foreign-sponsored militant group, so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA), according to his spokesman Brian Rogers.
During the pro-Israeli senator’s meeting with Gen. Salim Idriss, leader of FSA’s “Supreme Military Council,” and other militant commanders, Idriss asked that the US supply the insurgent gangs with “heavy weapons, set up a no-fly zone in Syria and conduct airstrikes on Hezbollah,” the Islamic resistance movement in Lebanon, The Los Angeles Times reports on Tuesday.
Idriss further described McCain’s visit as “very useful,” and called on “the US government to take the decision to support” the militants “with weapons and ammunition, antitank missiles and antiaircraft weapon.”
“Of course we want a no-fly zone and we ask for strategic strikes against Hezbollah both inside Lebanon and inside Syria,” Idriss was also cited as saying.
FSA’s political and media coordinator, Louay al-Mokdad further said of McCain’s meeting with anti-Damascus militant leaders: “We asked about targeted strikes… He (McCain) was very open and promised to push for us with the US administration.”
