Demand for polygraph
In June earlier this year, I came across a news item which was very funny: A Barrister Iqbal Jafri had demanded a polygraph test of Nawaz Sharif. We covered the point and had it posted on LUBP. Surprisingly, the demand of Barrister Jafri was only printed in Qaumi Akhbar, an evening tabloid printed in Karachi, full of mirch-masala khabren. We thought it was funny and that is why it was posted. Another important point for posting that was the case of Barrister Jafri was pending since 1990 with LHC, so talk about expediency of taking on cases related to Nawaz Sharif.
The same Barrister Jafri has moved the Lahore High Court demanding a polygraph test of Prime Minister Gilani and Law Minister Awan to ascertain the recent judicial crisis in a tea cup and TV channels. I find this one funny as well but what is not funny is that the news item has not appeared in Qaumi Akhbar but in Jang and that too on front page! Talk about bias on part of Jang Group and the level of seriousness of being shown by the newspaper. Are we wrong to call Jang/The News a tabloid? You decide!
Mir Dard rightly challenged these hypocrites in one of his verse…

Apni Tou Yeh Salah Hei K, Sab Zahidan-e-shehr,

Ahmed,
Very good catch indeed !
Jang Group has become a party and this news item is another manifestation of its biased reporting !
Shame on Jang / Geo / The News. The people of Pakistan must stop subscribing to these bastions of hypocrisy and lies.
@Abdul, however much we dislike them, unfortunately we have to see and read them! They are the biggest market maker!
