‘The dogs of war’ unleashsed against democracy in Pakistan
In English, the dogs of war is a phrase from line 270, scene 1, Act III of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar: “Cry ‘Havoc!’, and let slip the dogs of war” referring to releasing the “dog”, i.e. the restraining mechanism.
