Sharifia Aalu Anday
It’s not Zardari’s corruption they are after, Sharifs want to save their skin
In a case of instant justice to the high and mighty, the Lahore High Court has restrained an accountability court from proceeding with references filed against the Sharif Brothers and their businesses. According to Dawn on 19th October 2011, the bench comprising Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Abdul Waheed Khan issued the order while hearing a petition filed by the Sharif family that sought to quash the references. The order said the judge of accountability court-IV “shall not proceed with the references till next date of hearing”. They did, however, give the NAB some respite adding that “the order cannot affect application for revival of these references”. What this means is that NAB will have to file an application for the revival of references, which in itself will be a long and tedious process.
The petitioners include former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Mian Muhammad Abbas Sharif, Mian Hussain Nawaz, Mian Hamza Shahbaz, Shamim Akhtar mother of highly respectable Nawaz Sharif, Sabiha Abbas, Maryam Safdar, Hudabia Paper Mills company secretary Syed Ajmal Sibtain and the Ittifaq Foundries manager. The petititioners moved their favorite court through another personal favorite, Akram Sheikh Advocate.
According to information, in the Hudabia Paper Mills case, Haroon Pasha and Senator Ishaq Dar are also accused. The accused were charged with securing a huge amount of money as a loan in the name of Hudabia Paper Mills and later using the loan for other purposes, causing a massive loss to the national exchequer. The Ittifaq Foundry corruption reference accuses Nawaz and others of the same fraud. Similarly in the Assets Reference, the accused persons were charged with accumulation of money and assets beyond their declared means of income by allegedly misusing their authority.
Now the question is answered as to why the Sharifs and the PML-N, do not want the NAB to become effective. It is not because they are worried that the anti-corruption establishment of NAB will be unable to bring the “Zardari tola” to justice against their “krupshion” but because they themselves don’t want to face the courts and prosecution. This is called being a “Smart-Alec”. Well done, Mian Sahiban!!! Well done, Azad Adliya!!! Aalu-Anday Zindabad!!
Pakistan will become peaceful country when Khawaja Sharif will become NAB chairman and Saif- ur Rehman chief Investigation officer of FIA .
Accountability court stopped from proceeding against Sharifs By Malik Asad | From the Newspaper (9 hours ago) Today
RAWALPINDI, Oct 18: The Lahore High Court restrained an accountability court on Tuesday from proceeding with the references filed against PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and other members of their family.
The LHC’s Rawalpindi bench comprising Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Abdul Waheed Khan issued the order while hearing a petition filed by the Sharif family that sought to quash the references.
The order said the judge of accountability court-IV “shall not proceed with the references till next date of hearing”.
On the request of the prosecutor of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the court added that “the order cannot affect application for revival of these references”.
The petition had cited the federation of Pakistan, through the secretary of ministry of law, justice and parliamentary affairs, the NAB. through its chairman, and the judge of the accountability court-IV as respondents.
The court sought paragraph-wise reply from the law secretary and the NAB within two weeks and adjourned the hearing till Nov 17. The petitioners had requested the court to quash the references relating to the Hudaibia Paper Mills, Ittefaq Foundries and the Sharif family assets.
Akram Sheikh, counsel for the petitioners, told the court that the references were filed on the directives of former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf and were illegal and mala fide.
He pointed out that at a time when the PML-N was playing the role of a “real opposition”, the government was trying to politically victimise the Sharif brothers by reviving the references. He requested the court to restrain the accountability court from taking any action on the references till the disposal of the petition.
NAB prosecutor Hanif Tahir told the court that the references could not be revived earlier because of the absence of a permanent chairman of the bureau. Now that the new chairman had assumed the charge, the authorities were reviving the old references, he added. He requested the court not to admit the petition for regular hearing before submission of reply by the respondents.
The petition said the reopening of proceedings under the impugned references by two separate governments (led by Gen Musharraf and the PPP) at crucial times established the malice and bad faith of the respondents. The continuation of the references would amount to abuse of process of law.
It said the very exercise of filing references by Gen Musharraf (in the background of procuring two convictions — in the plane hijacking case and the helicopter case) was visibly motivated by vendetta, malice and obnoxious designs to prevent the petitioners from participating in politics and to oust them from their homeland.

LHC is the personal jageer of the Sharifs. They are thinking of opening an LHC bench in Raiwind and registry in Model Town.
@Shakeel Arain,
Pakistan will become a peaceful country with Chaudhry Nisar becomes NAB chairman, Saif ur rehman becomes Minister for Interior and a wealthy country when Ishaq Dar retakes the position of Minister of Finance.
The only success in Pakistan is LHC which either quashes cases against the Sharif brothers and the Jihadis or gives endless stay orders. Well done Azad Adliya!!!
