The Taliban’s war on Pakistan and the role of our religio-political leaders

Saleem Safi, an eminent journalist and a veteran of the Afghan ‘jihad’, offers a critical perspective on the hypocritical role of our religio-political leaders (such as Fazlur-Rehman, Sami-ul-Haq, Munawar Hassan, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Sahabzada Fazl-e-Karim etc, as well as military generals such as Hamid Gul, Akhtar Abdur-Rehman (late), Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai, Aslam Beg, Asad Durrani etc) in the Taliban’s war on Pakistan.

Safi in particular notes that while all of the above leaders vehemently support the Taliban’s jihad, none of them has dedicated a single son or daughter from their own family to participate in this so called jihad.
