If you want to understand why some of us insist upon the term #ShiaGenocide, spare a few minutes to read about #BlackLivesMatter.
#AllLivesMatter is a seemingly noble and inclusive term, but it implies that all lives are equally at risk, which isn’t the case; hence #BlackLivesMatter is more appropriate. Those that insist upon #AllLivesMatter are either oblivious to structural racism or consciously ignore it.
Similarly, #ShiaGenocide emphasises on a systemic, targeted campaign aimed at killing Shias exclusively for their beliefs. Some common Pakistanis (including Shias) may lose their lives in indiscriminate acts of terrorism, but Shias are killed discriminately and separately on a routine basis as well; hence the term #ShiaGenocide.
