Arif Jamal’s Chimerical Claims about Malik Ishaq’s Demise

Malik Ishaq, a callous murderer who was the leader of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi was killed this Wednesday. Mona Kazim expeditiously interviewed Arif Jamal, a New York based journalist, hours after Ishaq’s demise.

At this point in time, there were no details of the circumstances surrounding Ishaq’s death. However, without any journalistic investigation, Jamal baselessly concluded that Ishaq was set up by the police.

Jamal then continued to propagate his transitional jihad theory, by claiming that Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat-ud-Dawa are the central problem for Pakistan. This argument clearly conflicts with the facts, seeing as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat-ud-Dawa mainly affect India and Kashmir.

It appears that Jamal is doing the bidding of India and even contradicting his previous book, Shadow of War, in which he states that Azam Tariq, the previous leader of Sipah-e-Sahaba, helped create Jaish-e-Mohammed which gets its recruitment from Sipah-e-Sahaba, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, and ASWJ. Jamal goes on to imply that the army had Ishaq killed because he refused to aid in attacking Kashmir. This argument is invalid however, because Ishaq himself said that he would undertake jihad in Kashmir.

None of these jihadi proxies amount to any good. Their common fundamental beliefs are militancy and fascism which are influenced massively by ibn Taymiyyah and his jihad against the state theory which initiated the Deobandi and Salafi ideologies. Takfiri Deobandi and Salafi fascism is a common thread in Jamaat-e-Islami, Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.

Fake liberals instantaneously resorted to conspiracy theories within a matter of minutes in order to obfuscate the truth and spread their own brouhaha. These “liberals” tend to be hypocritical in their approach to criticism. They clamor for attention and criticize the circumstances surrounding Ishaq’s death, yet they stayed reticent when Osama was killed and when the U.S. executed drone strikes. Surely, there is a hidden agenda being pushed here because there are too many logical fallacies in these “liberal” duplicitous arguments. There is a colossal commonality in the demise of Osama and the death of Ishaq. The world was relieved during Osama’s death yet these “liberals” only lament during the killing of Ishaq.
