An introduction of Deobandi sect and its branches – by Ata Us Salam

Nowadays Khatm-e-Nabuwwat group of Deobandis is very active in the United Kingdom. A large popularity and financial strength has made them well active and organized in this country. This group was come into being with only one point agenda and that was to wipe out Ahmadiyya movement. Every day they raise different allegations against Ahmadis and their leadership. They hold seminars in the different parts of UK on regular basis to propagate their poisonous ideology. Last year gang members of this group came to the Croydon and as usual made their speeches against Ahmadiyyat. Before replying all of their allegations one by one, I would like to introduce the Deobandi sect and its different branches.

The Deobandi sect was originally started from Deoband (India). After independence they transferred to Pakistan. During USSR’s attack on Afghanistan they got required strength for their activities. America, Western and Arabian countries were giving grant of billions of dollars to Pakistan on regular basis which were used in the seminaries of this sect to prepare “Mujahideen”. Those Mujahideen are called Taliban nowadays. General Zia Ul Haq, who was the ruler of Pakistan during that war, was also a Deobandi and he was transferring most part of the foreign aid to the Deobandi sect seminaries.

Deobandis have many sub-groups and Khatm-e-Nabuwwat is one of them. Others are Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Jhangwi, Sapah-e-Sahaba. These are their sectarian groups while their main political groups are Jamat-e-Islami, Jamiat Ulma-e-Pakistan and Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam. Their student wing is called Jamat Islami which has the hold on most of the colleges of Pakistan and its stronghold is the Punjab University of Lahore. Their preaching centre is also in Lahore which is located in the town of Raiwind.

These groups use students of very young age from its seminaries for suicide attacks at Pak military, politicians and the people of other beliefs. Jamat Islami kills innocent students of other beliefs in different educational institutes. Their stronghold is the tribal areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. They have great support in the southern Punjab as well and nowadays majority of the attackers are coming from the province of Punjab.

This is the world’s most clever and well trained group and no one can identify them. If their Khatm-e-Nabuwwat gang is busy in hateful campaign against Ahmadis then their Sapah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangwi groups are propagating against Shiats, Brelvis, US etc. If one of their groups is propagating against other sect or religion then their other group is trying to maintain their relations with that sect. For example if group of Lashkar-e-Jhangwi kills any Brelvi person then any member of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat would strongly condemn it so that they could sustain their relations with others. Their central group which is known as Tahrik-e-Taliban Pakistan is fighting with international forces in Afghanistan and the Tribal areas of Pakistan. TTP gets its nursery mainly from these groups.

So the structure of this Deobandi sect is like a puzzle but one thing is common in all of them and that is “hate” and “killings of unarmed people”. They came into being almost 150 years ago but they pursue the same ideology which was followed towards the killings of Caliph Usman, Ali and then the nephew of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). So the worst enemy of humanity is working in the form of these Deobandis or “Ahle Sunnat wal Jamat”.

Sunnat means “the practice of Prophet that he taught and practically instituted as a teacher”. I have studied the Holy Bible and the Holy Quran but despite my all out efforts I could not find the Sunnat of even a single Prophet which allows killings of innocent people. May be this Deobandi curse and its branches are following the Sunnat of Pharaoh.
