The Frankenstein – by Waseem Altaf
Jinnah once went to Saydan-Pur (Srinagar) to meet Pir Syed Jama’at Ali Shah who knew about the potential of Amin ul-Hasanat a.k.a Pir of Manki Sharif to exploit religion in service of politics. He advised Jinnah to meet Pir of Manki as he was the only religious personality in the frontier Province who could help him to counter Abdul Ghaffar Khan (Bach Khan)of Congress and end his political dominance.
Jinnah in a message to Pir of Manki told the Pir that his services were required and assured him that Sharia would be enforced on the Muslim community once the new state comes into being.
Pir Manki, some days later called his trusted friends, mashaikh like Syed Abdullah Shah of Hazara, Maulana Masleh-ud-din, Maulana Shaista Gul and others at Manki Sharif. Later Pir Manki sent a delegation comprising Maulana Shaista Gul and Maulana Masleh-ud-din, who toured every nook and corner of India.
On October, 13 1945 five hundred ulemas, pirs and mashaikh participated in the three day Ulema and Mashaikh Conference at Manki Sharif. Notable amongst them were Syed Jama’at Ali Shah, Maulana Shabir Ahmad Usmani, Abdul Hamid Badayuni, Naeem-ud-din Muradabadi, Maulana Shaista Gul, Pir Abdul Latif of Zakori Sharif, Maulana Abdul Sattar Niazi, Maulana, Masleh-ud-din, Faqir Abdul Wasih of Bannu, Maulana Hazrat Gul of Dosehra, Pir of Tunsa Sharif and Maulana Badshah Gul of Akora.
The conference recommended the formation of a party known as Jamiat-ul-Asifa. Pir Jama’at Ali shah was elected its president and Pir of Golrah Sharif its Vice president while Pir of Manki Sharif became its convener.
The aim of this party was to underpin the demand for the establishment of Pakistan to the principles of the Quran and Sunnah. Hence, Pir of Manki determined to support the Muslim League on the condition that Sharia (Islamic Law) would be enforced in Pakistan as the law of the land throughout the country.
On November 18, 1945 Pir Sahib sent one of his close associate named Qazi Abdul Hakim Khattak to Jinnah to apprise him of his decision. Jinnah responded quickly by sending a letter on November 18, 1945 as:
“I am greatly thankful to you for the powerful support which you have been pleased to give to All India Muslim League….as regards your preliminary question of Pakistan being established is settled, it will not be the Muslim League that will frame the constitution of Pakistan but inhabitants of Pakistan in which 75% will be Musalmans and therefore you will understand that it will be a Muslim government and it will be for the people of Pakistan to frame the constitution under which the Pakistan government will come into being and function.
Therefore, there need be no apprehension that the Constitution making body which will comprise of overwhelming majority of Muslims can ever establish any constitution for Pakistan other than one based on Islamic ideals, nor can the government of Pakistan when comes into being act contrary to Islamic ideals and principles.
On November 25, 1945 an accord was reached between Jinnah and ulema and mashaikh on the following terms and conditions
-Every law in Pakistan will be in consistency with Islamic Sharia and not repugnant to Quran and Sunnah.
-Each bill concerned with Islamic Sharia will be presented to the President of Jamiat-ul-Asifa to check, only after the endorsement by its President will present the Bill to the constituent assembly for further proceedings.
Concerning the question that what type of constitution Pakistan will be? Jinnah responded and delivered a speech:
“let me clear that Muslims believe in one God, one Prophet, and Holy Quran. Islamic principles are the Constitution which we inherited from our Holy Prophet thirteen centuries before, so there will be nothing but only Quranic principles as our Constitution. In order to achieve our goal you should vote in favor of Muslim League candidates. Regarding legislation I will say that when you elect your representatives to the Parliament they make laws in conformity with the Quran and Sunnah. If concerted efforts are made by all, the achievement of Pakistan is not difficult…”
Jinnah, in fact was unleashing a beast which was to transform into a Frankenstein.
And now, when the Taliban are insisting on and are closer to realization of the “dream” of the “founder of the nation”, why are we crying?
You quote Mr. Jinnah as follows:
Can you kindly provide a citation for that statement? If it is truthfully conveyed, it iis most revealing.
It is already obvious to me that the creation of Pakistan on the Grand Chessboard of the time utilized many a superman who pitched the infantile mantra of a separate nation based on religion. If the statement quoted above and attributed to Mr. Jinnah is correct and truthful, one can trivially see, if one is not blinded and indoctrinated by the “Muslim State” mantra in the same measure that the Zionist Jews are indoctrinated in the way of their “Jewish State” as a divine mandate, that Mr. Jinnah stated whatever was necessary to achieve his singular objective — end justifies the means. Contrast this with the exact opposite statement in Mr. Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s first Presidential Address to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan, August 11, 1947.
The following is excerpted from G. Allana, Pakistan Movement Historical Documents, University of Karachi, 1969, pp. 407-411 (via columbia.edu/itc/mealac/pritchett/00islamlinks/txt_jinnah_assembly_1947.html):

“[[7]] I cannot emphasize it too much. We should begin to work in that spirit, and in course of time all these angularities of the majority and minority communities, the Hindu community and the Muslim community — because even as regards Muslims you have Pathans, Punjabis, Shias, Sunnis and so on, and among the Hindus you have Brahmins, Vashnavas, Khatris, also Bengalees, Madrasis and so on — will vanish. Indeed if you ask me, this has been the biggest hindrance in the way of India to attain the freedom and independence, and but for this we would have been free people long long ago. No power can hold another nation, and specially a nation of 400 million souls, in subjection; nobody could have conquered you, and even if it had happened, nobody could have continued its hold on you for any length of time, but for this. Therefore, we must learn a lesson from this. You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed — that has nothing to do with the business of the State. As you know, history shows that in England conditions, some time ago, were much worse than those prevailing in India today. The Roman Catholics and the Protestants persecuted each other. Even now there are some States in existence where there are discriminations made and bars imposed against a particular class. Thank God, we are not starting in those days. We are starting in the days where there is no discrimination, no distinction between one community and another, no discrimination between one caste or creed and another. We are starting with this fundamental principle: that we are all citizens, and equal citizens, of one State. The people of England in [the] course of time had to face the realities of the situation, and had to discharge the responsibilities and burdens placed upon them by the government of their country; and they went through that fire step by step. Today, you might say with justice that Roman Catholics and Protestants do not exist; what exists now is that every man is a citizen, an equal citizen of Great Britain, and they are all members of the Nation.
[[8]] Now I think we should keep that in front of us as our ideal, and you will find that in course of time Hindus would cease to be Hindus, and Muslims would cease to be Muslims, not in the religious sense, because that is the personal faith of each individual, but in the political sense as citizens of the State.
[[9]] Well, gentlemen, I do not wish to take up any more of your time; and thank you again for the honour you have done to me. I shall always be guided by the principles of justice and fair play without any, as is put in the political language, prejudice or ill-will; in other words, partiality or favouritism. My guiding principle will be justice and complete impartiality, and I am sure that with your support and co-operation, I can look forward to Pakistan becoming one of the greatest Nations of the world.” — Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s first Presidential Address to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan, August 11, 1947.

Please see how public innocence is melt by the Superman, only to be celebrated by the nations raped as their knight-savior – The uncanny parallels between the Partition of Palestine and the Indian sub-continent:
Sacred Cow: Allama Iqbal – marde-momin or superman?
http://faith-humanbeingsfirst.blogspot.com/2012/12/allama-iqbal-marde-momin-or-superman.html
That analysis is only the first in a long Sacred Cow series. Mr. Jinnah, and many others who played a defining role in carving out the destiny of Muslims in the twentieth century, both good and bad, will each be taken in turn. From this vantage point of a century in hindsight, there is lamentably very little of the former, and almost all is the latter.
The trend, evidently, and most lamentably still continues. Even this great website, Let Us Build Pakistan, make overed from its former CriticalPPP focus, carries articles that refuse to understand how their pens are being no less purveyors of the narrative that has been carved out for them then it was in the preceeding century when the Muslim league stalwarts, wittingly, or unwittingly fell in the trap of the narratives carved out for them at the Round Table and pretexts created for realizing them? Can these brilliant contemporary writers who pen their soul not see that a strategy of tension is being deliberately manufactured in Pakistan, no different than it was in yesteryear in Western Europe through Operation Gladio? What is Deobandi crap? It is merely another uniform of the occupation forces.
In any case, thank you in advance for a citation, preferably one which is still accessible today.
