The Monster in Chief of Pakistan, Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry is cementing his candidature for the post of statistics minister after his retirement expected to be on 12th December 2013. What has caught our eye in the report in Dawn on August 20, 2013 was the line that “ACCORDING TO THE ESTIMATION BY THE COURT, AN AMOUNT OF RS300 MILLION WAS LOST BECAUSE NO WORK WAS DONE BY THE CITIZENS DURING THE PERIOD THE ENTIRE EPISODE WAS TELECAST LIVE ON TELEVISIONS.” How did the court come up with this estimation? What were the basis of it? Did markets close down because of the Sikandar episode? Flights in and out of Pakistan were suspended? Activities in restaurants across the country were suspended? Ships weren’t tugged in and out of Karachi’s ports? I did all the work I was supposed to do…am I not a citizen? How in the world the Monster in Chief and his brother judges came up with this estimation baffles my mind.
Monster in Chief should focus on his upcoming retirement and what he will do. He has to seek forgiveness for his sins committed on the public through his mindless judgements and holding the whole nation hostage.
By the way, how come no one talks about the truce between the Monster in Chief and his cheater son? Don’t we all remember that publically the Monster in Chief had broken off relations with Arsalan Iftikhar in June 2012 but both the father and son were seen together celebrating eid in Quetta this year?
