Two days ago, on 17 December 2012, Takfiri Deobandi militants of Sipah Sahaba killed a high level Shia Muslim breaucrat in Quetta, Khadim Hussain Noori, Deputy Direct of Public Relations in the Balochistan government. When a police party chased the Deobandi militants, two of the policemen were brutally killed by them.

In other words, a Shia Muslim and two Sunni Muslims, all three of them government servants, were killed by Deobandi militants in one day. This confirms that Takfiri Deobadni militants of Sipah Sahaba Taliban (variously operating as Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Jundullah etc) are enemies of both Sunni and Shia. In other words, this is Deobandi militants vs the rest of Pakistan, not Sunni vs Shia sectarianism.

However, now Deobandi militants have issued a fresh warning to the police in Quetta demanding them to give the Sipah Sahaba a free hand in killing Shia Muslims and moderate Sunnni Muslims. Sipah Sahaba Deobandis have threatened that if police tried to stop or chase them, not only those policemen will be killed, but their officers too will not be spared.

The statement has been published by daily Mashriq, an Urdu newspaper in Quetta.

It may be recalled that hundreds of honest police officers and jawans have been killed by Deobandi militants of Sipah Sahaba Taliban in Quetta, Peshawar and other parts of he country. According to various reports by the Human Rights Watch and other rights groups, Pakistan army continues to maintain links with Jihadist Deobandi militants. It’s a matter of great surprise and worry that the world’s 7th largest army (Pakistan army) and worlds’s most influential intelligence agency (ISI) cannot maintain law and order and arrest the Deobandi militants of Sipah Sahaba in a tiny city (Quetta).
