Gojra: A Question to the followers of Muhammad(SAWW)
Prophet Muhammad’s Charter of Priviliges to Christians
English Translation of the arabic text
“This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them.
No compulsion is to be on them. Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries.
No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims’ houses. Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God’s covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate.
No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray.
Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).”
Excellent posting.
Ali excellent post.
i feel ashamed of being muslim when I saw images of Christin graveyard bulldozed in Narowal few months back .
great work Ali. Thanks for sharing.
Nice selection
excellent
More and more contributions to be posted regarding the shameful incident, as in the words of our friend Sherry, Dont Let the Gojra Disappear
@ Ali
my biggest disappointed with Gojra tragedy is role of human rights ministry. If they can’t do independent inquiry and has to depend on provincial home dept report, I don’t see it providing any significant contribution .
@Ali excellent contribution…..
Burning Alive: The fate of Pakistani Christians
The documentary called “Burning Alive: The fate of Pakistani Christians” was written and directed by Professor Anjum James Paul, along with Nosheen D’souza and Leonard D’souza.
Professor Paul said that this documentary “reveals many questions” such as the “irresponsible role of Pakistani governments” and the “discriminatory laws against the minorities in the Constitution of Pakistan which has dual standards and has failed to provide equal status and equal rights to the minorities as described in various articles. Pakistani educational institutions also create sense of segregation and hatred against the minorities and their religions even in the textbooks. Pakistani Christians are living under threats and this documentary was made to make the government, people and human rights organizations, realize that Christians are being persecuted for their faith.”

@ junaid
thanks for sharing excellent documentary .
This tends to happen when you tear the papers of Quran e Majeed and use these papers as a fun.
@Humza Most welcome….
The after-math of this sad incident has not been a reason to smile. The criminals of this mass murder of not been brought to justice. Minorities spend their lives under a constant threat here.

I am not aware of the story but the translation that junaid qaiser has posted must be examined in the light of the Holly Quran. V can’t accept blindly any islamic ayat, hadees etc. Coz most of ayat & ahadees have been posted with a possibility of error 100%.
Generally i agree to Mr. Junaid Qaisar that minorities do have rights. Not only christians but where muslims are in minority, they also should have been respected. Coz PEACE is associated with the minorities rights. Love Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H.
