Does Anyone Even Remember Hunza Lake Now?
Does anyone even remember Hunza Lake? There was such a big hue and cry that there is no government support or anything on the media. It was declared as a catastrophe of huge proportions. No one is media is talking about it right now. Should we consider that the government has done its job in protecting its population?
Will there be some words of appreciation for the government from our media?

dear, if your aim to get the Govt. praised, i am truly sorry that blunder they did is continuing. The landslide occur on 4th January 10, NDMA has been able to make a spill way just 6 m wide and 4 m deep. if you just check the way the spill way has been made, even after two weeks of water crossing upstream problems are getting worst every day. if you want to discuss about the Govt. efforts to maintain only 3000 IDPs and reports regarding food / shelter quantity and quality it is totally shame. Discuss the issue with some expert and they will tell you the Hunza disaster proves yet another time that current Govt. has no ability to Govern, not only for IDPs issue but in gneral. They are best just to take bribe and do everything which is against the welfare of people / country and system. Sorry to say that….. if you want comparison take the earthquake tragedy in October 2005 and response. i would not say it was best but for sure much more effective in handling millions of IDPs with all commmunication / transportation means destroyed.
i have much to say but i limit myself to the Hunza Lake.
well whatever government did is another thing..but our shitty media cried alot for hunza…jab bhi tv lagao her waqt hunza hunza…ab kidhar mar gia hai media
Dear Ahmed media hue and cry was important to awake govt authority to start work on spillway . but its very unfortunate that they have stopped the media coverage abruptly.
Personally I will be very much interested in hearing an indigenous, local perspective on the situation in Hunza and also their assessment of (outcomes of) media attention and governmental action regarding the lake issue.
Gentlemen, my point is simple: some things are blown way out of proportion than they are actually. I dont want the govt to be praised. it is for the people of Hunza to decide.
check the real facts about Hunza Lake on its local news site http://apnaganish.webs.com/ and then ask yourselves how efficient our GOVT is ??
