Long march against Pakistan’s Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry
Pakistan’s Shia Muslims are currently considering a long march to protest against the anti-Shia bias of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The exact date for the long march is expected to be announced shortly after due consultations with all persecuted communities.
CJ Chaudhry has long-standing family ties with Jihadi-sectarian terrorists. He is a close relative of Punjab government’s law minister Rana Sanaullah, who is a known affiliate of Jihadi-sectarian organization Sipha-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP, renamed as Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat ASWJ).
Pakistan’s Shia Muslims have quite a few misgivings against CJ Chaudhry which include but are not limited to:
1. No suo moto action to stop the ongoing target killing of Shia Muslims in Pakistan (in the last 6 months alone, more than 240 Shias have been target killed by Pakistan army-backed Jihadi sectarian militants ASWJ-SSP, Taliban etc);
2. Acquittal of arrested Jihadi-sectarian terrorists (Malik Ishaq, Hafiz Saeed, Qari Saifullah Akhtar etc);
3. No summoning of government ministers and army commanders to explain their inability to stop Shia genocide in Pakistan;
4. Rejection of Shia rights activists’ petition asking for SCP’s intervention to stop Shia genocide.
Shia Muslims are not the only community to have felt betrayed by CJ Iftikhar Chaudhry, other persecuted groups such as the Baloch, Pashtun, Sunni Barelvi, Ahmadi etc have similar feelings towards CJ Chaudhry. For example, this editorial by The Baloch Hal: The man who betrayed Balochistan
We welcome the proposed protest against a pro-army, pro-Jihadi Chief Justice. We suggest that it’s not only Shias but also moderate Sunnis, Ahmadis, Christians, Balochs, Pashtuns etc who should march together towards Islamabad in support of human rights and demonstrate right in front of the Supreme Court’s building and also outside Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry’s residence.
Video on Shia genocide in Pakistan and a message to Pakistan’s Chief Justice and Army Chief
From Gilgit to Karachi, Quetta to Parachinar and Karachi to D.I.Khan, Shia Muslims are being target killed in all provinces and areas of Pakistan. However, Pakistan’s judiciary, army, politicians, civil society and media either remain silent or misrepresent the Shia genocide. This video is a message to all of them particularly to the champions of justice and national security.

The Baloch anguish is not merely justified because they are receiving the bullet-riddled dead bodies of their smartest and most talented democratic youth almost on daily basis but they also have every reason to be frustrated because the country’s Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Ifthakar Chaudhary, has opted for complete silence over what British newspaper The Guardian called “Pakistan’s secrete dirty war“. Silence on the part of the chief justice is an indirect endorsement of extra-judicial killings by the security forces and secrete agents.
The country’s top judge, who was sacked by former military dictator General Musharraf allegedly on the corruption and nepotism charges, has emerged as a master player of suo moto cards. He has served suo moto notices about minor issues pertaining to the local governments such as sugar prices and filthy streets. But, there is stark silence over what veteran American journalist Selig Harrison calls the “slow-motion genocide” of the Baloch people.
While much has been written in the Baloch press ( if not by the so-called national media) about this unfolding humanitarian crisis in Balochistan, it is the time the Chief Justice of Pakistan was asked all these questions by the Baloch people. After all, he played the “missing persons’ card” during the lawyers movement. He also used the “Balochistan card” to by giving the impression that he was being punished because he belonged to the country’s smallest province.
Before his removal and even after his restoration, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has totally disappointed the people of Balochistan. His role and response to the “slow-motion genocide” of the Balcoh people is not surprising but highly objectionable. Lack of interests and intervention in the missing persons’s case simply shows complicity of the so-called independent judiciary with the military.

we need to participate in protest at all possible level to raise of our voice as duty given to us from Ahlul bait
Shia scholar Abbas Kameeli opposes law to protect Hindus from forced conversions;
http://ummat.com.pk/story/2012/03/18/1605/
This is a shame as Shia themselves complain of discrimination but do not support other communities who are being discriminated against. This is the same Shia scholar who blames “Qadiani Agents” for attacks on Shias.
aoa!
I hope my email will be forwarded to all honourable judges.Land mafia is working under the shelter of judiciary and CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.Bahria Town suo motu action by chief justice is lingered by SC due to corruption by judges and as son of CJ has been alloted plots in Bahria Town.It is very painful to mention that Iftikhar Chaudhry has laid down the foundation of Kangroo Court and is the main supporter of land mafia due to his personal interests.
No action taken on Inquiry report and CJ is behaving like a kangroo judge who thinks that he can make people fool but its not the age of blind justice.
I hate Shiaes now though I was a Shia before, its a big shamme you are against CJP. Let me remind presidend of Pakistan is shia and its his responsibility to save you. CJ is not your servant.
Only 0.1% killed are shia. Why you discriminate. Pakistani will NOT tolerate any conspiracy against the beloved Chief Justice. Is that clear!!????
Not just Shia are being killed in this country. Many more then SHias have been murdered. CJ takes notice of most of the cases, but his job is primarily to see whether laws are being implemented or not. Taking action against criminals is the responsibility of the state. Why don’t you question the government>? Why not a long march against the government? why CJ? He is not the one who is not performing his duty. Govt is not performing its duties. PLEASE BE SENSIBLE AND QUESTION THE RIGHT PERSON AND PROTEST AGAINST THOSE WHO ARE NOT BEING LOYAL TO ANYONE WHO IS WRONGED. NOBODY WILL STAND WITH YOU IN THIS LONG MARCH BECAUSE YOU ARE BEING UNFAIR
`Deer aayed dorost aayed’
Better late than never.
Except if and when such a march is mustered; the `Azad media’ will deem the protest a tremendous `gustaakhi’ in the dearly beloved CJ’s honour rather than crow with delight as they did when the righteous but impotent and misguided Shia rage mugged the PPP.
It will be even more fun to watch the `civil society’ barn-dancing to the usual moral equivalence tune, and the faux-liberal twitterati will tie themselves into pretzel twists. Yes, that will be an unmissable tamasha.
There are at least three things of which is certain:
The out-and-out Ghairat brigade will be shameless in their defence of the Takfiri-enabling Adlia.
The cosmopolitan liberals, Blackberry wielding clean shaven ghairat-mands and the Human Rights NGO circus will make sympathetic noises and betray the protest Judas-fashion.
Whatever goes wrong will be averred to have been Zardari’s doing. That will be the one point of consensus upon which all sides will be seen to agree.
And the global Jihadists will be a couple of steps closer to their goal.
