Veteran civil society activist Khurram Zaki blows a giant hole in the “Blame Everything on RAW” theory by those who want to absolve the boastful Deobandi terrorist groups like ASWJ (Sipah-e-Sahaba) aka Jundullah aka LeJ of the latest massacre of Ismaili Shias at Safoora Chowk. “Yes RAW is responsible for all this if by RAW they mean ASWJ, TTP and LeJ. But then what Siraj ul Haq deobandi was sitting with RAW proxies like Ludhyanvi ? Does that mean Siraj Deobandi is also working for RAW ? Probably yes as this man has never condemned ASWJ or TTP ever.”

Foreign governments will always take advantage of local situations for their own self interests. But to simply blame foreign governments while absolving the more responsible local players is a fallacy that we must avoid. In Pakistan, many of us, especially our Sufyani liberals suffer from “lack of proportionality syndrome” as described by comrade Pejamistri. As per this syndrome, things are not ascribed with their proper weight. Some are criticised excessively while others are exempted completely on the basis of selectivism.

The trend is obvious; ASWJ sympathisers and their “Jamaati” and “Youthia” supporters are now blaming every other act of terrorism on RAW without having guts to call the names the frontmen and proxies who are killing and massacring Shias, Sunni Sufis and Brelvis, Servicemen and Pakistanis from all walk of life for last three decades.

“RAW” is their new scapegoat as was the “Blackwater” few years ago. I never denied possible foreign covert operations in our country but it will be equally foolish to keep crying “RAW” and “Blackwater” while not identifying the banned terrorist outfits (ASWJ, TTP, LeJ) who are actually carrying out and claiming terrorist activities against Pakistanis on ground in past and present. These pseudo-intellectuals either in sheer ignorance or in a deliberate fashion are trying to give cover to and save known terroirst and hate clerics such as Ludhyanvi, Farooqi, Ramzan Mengal and Akram Lahori.

Litmus test: You will never find a single word against Ludhyanvi and Farooqui on their wall.

Symptoms: Their desperate attempts to create a false binary between Saudi Arabia and Iran (or Sunni and Shia) and denial of Shia genocide. If you talk about Shikarpur, they will talk about Peshawar without mentioning the fact that people in Shikarpur were killed because of their Shia faith while innocent students of APS were killed because of their military background (or studying at a military institution) by the same banned takfiri Deobandi terrorist outfit.

We have always mentioned the fact that ASWJ, LeJ and TTP are not the enemies of Shia Muslims alone rather they are enemies of every Pakistani including our service personnel, Sunni Brelvis, moderate Deobandis, Chiristians, Hindus and Ahmadis. The agenda of these takfiri outfits is to destroy Pakistan and turn it into another Syria and Iraq.

Yes RAW may be responsible for all this if by RAW they mean ASWJ, TTP and LeJ. But then why does Siraj ul Haq Deobandi openly embrace and support RAW proxies like Ludhyanvi? Does that mean Siraj Deobandi too is working for RAW ? Probably yes as this man has never condemned ASWJ or TTP!
