Opposition of Operation Zarb-e-Azb by Deobandi clerics and sectarian liberals – by Aamir Hussaini
According to media reports, Pakistan’s top Sunni Brelvi clerics have Issued fatwa declaring military operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Wazirstan Agency against TTP-ASWJ Khawarij as Jihad.

So far such fatwa has not come from Deobandi clerics except for Molvi Tahir Asharfi who declared his support for this military operation. Tahir Ashrafi stopped short of declaring this operation Jihad. Hafiz Saeed from Salafi Wahabbi clerics supported this operation but he has also refrained from declaring it Jihad.
Surprisingly common thing between Deobandis and sectarian secular liberals is their focus of criticism which remains on those Sunni Brelvi religious figures (eg Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri) who are exposing Deobandi terrorists and their Saudi masters. Both of these groups (Deobandis and secular seculars) are silent about dirty and dangerous role of Deobandi clerics like Mufti Naeem, Ahmad Ludhianvi, Taqi Usmani and other hatemongers.
