“Disappeared” Ex-BSO Chairman Killed, Dumped in Quetta

The bullet-riddled body of Hameed Shaheen, a former chairman the Baloch Students Organization (BSO), was recovered from Quetta within the jurisdiction of Shalkot police station on Monday.

Hameed Shaheen was abducted allegedly by security forces in the outskirts of Quetta two days back when he was traveling to Karachi.
Police said that local people spotted a dead body at Sardar Karez area of Quetta and informed police. After getting information, the police rushed to the site and shifted the dead body to the hospital for autopsy where he was identified as Hameed Shaheen, resident of Muslimabad of Sariab locality.

Hospital sources said that victim was shot with bullets that caused his immediate death. Police handed over body of Shaheen to his heirs after completing legal formalities.

Ghous Bakhsh Bangulzai, father of victim, told reporters that his son was going to Karachi for his medical tests when some people in a private vehicle abducted him and next day of his abduction his bullet riddled body was recovered.

“My son was innocent and I need justice,” he said.

The National Party (NP), in a statement issued to the media, has strongly condemned the killing of Hameed Shaheen allegedly in custody of security forces and appealed Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan for taking immediate notice of abduction of Baloch political workers and throwing their bullet riddled bodies.
