Ansar Abbasi was the first one to malign Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Watch Capital Talk 12 Nov 2008 for evidence.
The JUI Senator Dr. Soomro asks Ansar Abbasi in this program:
“Tell me, whether your earlier report about the corruption of the Chief Justice was true? or whether your current stance in support of the Chief Justice is true?”.
Did Ansar Abbasi have an answer?
No. He is a shameless blackmailer.
In 2006, Abbasi released a news report alleging Chief Justice Iftikhar M. Chaudhry of corruption and nepotism (in regards to appointment of his son as an ASP).
Listen to Voice of America’s Program ‘Round Table’ (13 March 2007) in which Ansar Abbasi admits that he filed the news report about the corruption of the Chief Justice. You can find an audio link to the radio program on the following website. Skip to Minute 22:30 and listen to Ansar Abbasi’s admission:
However, since Abbasi’s agenda is larger than that, i.e. to support Taliban and Al-Qaeda, he later on decided to side with the Chief Justice, when in 2007 Chief Justice was suspended by General Musharraf. Abbasi’s main aim was not to support the Chief Justice but to criticize Musharraf because Musharraf was at that time a thorn in the side of the Taliban and their supporters.
That explains why Abbasi is extremely bitter towards PPP, ANP, JUI, MQM and all those forces which are currently in the government which is conducting a successful operation against militants/terrorists of Taliban, who happen to be friends of Mr. Ansar Abbasi.

most of us are blaming molvies, but people here on this forum are not questioning Ansar Abasii’s hypocritical conduct regarding “Chief justice issue”, “he first called him most corrupt and then he contradicted himself”. even professional conmen donot do that, it is indeed unfortunate that the proven liars have full backing of the media and people like us just fall for it without questioning it. to put it simply how would u feel if i kick u and than dictate ur reaction too.

WHAT A JUSTICE ; MR CHIEF JUSTICE
February 4, 2007 · Filed under 6: Beyond model town
Dr (so called) Arsalan Iftikhar, mighty son of Mr Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Chief Justice of Pakistan, who has grown now as a monster, joined Health Department as Medical Officer at Quetta after doing MBBS from Bolan Medical College (on a managed seat). Young Dr Sahib appeared twice in CSS examination but failed as he had secured only sixteen marks in English paper. Well! how could bright son of a genius Chief Justice fail – must have been some error with FPSC, hence a Writ Petition was filed at Baluchistan High Court against FPSC which is still pending.
Baluchistan Judiciary under-estimated impulsive nature of their old colleague (now Chief Justice of Pakistan) who could not take in-ordinate delay for a favourable decision, so setting-aside all rules and regulations through an undeclared “Suo-Motto” action, he not only managed deputation of his son to FIA as Assistant Director but arranged his training as well at National Police Academy alongwith
PSP officials and later, on completion of the training, got him attached with Punjab Police where he is performing sensitive duties as ASP (under training) of Model Town Circle Lahore and wearing dashing police uniform with PSP ranks on his shoulders
WELL DONE MR CHIEF JUSTICE for an efficient career planning for your bright son, but unfortunately through back doors. Judiciary’s Samurai and his son did not feel enough satisfaction with all these illegitimate conquers, so young ASP has started
conducting himself like a “Sarkari Bull” whereas his father softens up environments by pressuring Punjab Police hierarchy through different blackmailing methods, on “Tip Offs” by Dr Arsalan. In the same context, on 21 December 2006, IG Punjab Mr Zia-Ul-Hassan was summoned by CJP and publicly disgraced (in presence of Advocate
General Punjab, lawyers and senior police officers) but IGP retaliated by paying back in the same coins. Publicity hungry CJP, for once, instructed his media handlers to ensure black-out of this incident.
Recently, for shedding off his boredom of police duties, young ASP (so called) managed a Counter Terrorism Course in tourist city of Turkey i.e Istanbul against Punjab Police seat. Hopefully, had good feel of colourful and relaxing environments, at poor tax-payers expense. MR CHIEF JUSTICE AND DR ARSALAN , KEEP IT UP BUT FOR HOW LONG. AS PER LAW OF NATURE, ONE DAY IS NOT YOUR DAY.

Of politicians and journalists
During the VOA broadcast Ansar Abbasi admits to the fact that he had knowledge of Justice Iftikhar Chaudry’s son’s malpractices and had filed a report about it which was not published by his paper (The News). The government for some reason silenced them at that time but a few months later the same report was allowed to be published and became a basis for the ousting of the CJ. Now this piece of information may indict the government but it also brings into question the ethical level of the newspaper publishing house that allowed itself to be silenced thus. As does the coloured reporting of this incident by both The News and Geo.
This by no means is meant to defend Mr. Wasi Zafar’s behaviour that was undoubtedly unseemly for a Minister but it is to put things a little into perspective. I think the reporting of the above incident has not been entirely unbiased and accurate.
Abbasi’s tone in the VOA show (even before the abuse was spoken) is also confrontational and insulting.
Neither one of the two employ any diplomatic language Abbasi calling Zafar a genetically problematic person and so on which he could justify because of the abuse hurled at him which in turn the Minister could justify because of his earlier ‘perceived abuse’ and it can only end up being a chicken and egg debate.

In his op-ed in Daily Express, Abbas Ather exposes Ansar Abbasi, the notorious agent of the forces of darkness (i.e. the unholy nexus of Jamaat-e-Islami, ISI, and Takfiri Deobandi organizations in Pakistan).
It was Ansar Abbasi who released the first media report against the corruption of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. As a result, it was widely reported in national and international media that there is a link to the Chief Justice being suspended and the appointment of his son, Dr. Arsalan Iftikhar Chaudhry, as Additional Superintendent of Police after numerous amendments to the Police Service of Pakistan rules and the fact that he had twice flunked the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam that is required for that level of position.

Ansar Abbasi also played a very cunning and hypocritical role by creating misunderstanding between the Chief Justice and the newly elected government of the Pakistan Peoples Party. For example, Ansar Abbasi in a news item revealed that the immediately after his restoration, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary would suspend the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO), thus effectively putting Asif Zardari and other leaders of PPP behind bars.
Ansar Abbasi is the same notorious journalist who recently tried to justify the Deobandi terrorists’ attack on the Islamabad Marriott Hotel by ‘revealing’ that the Hotel was a secret station of American marines, and hence the act of terrorism was justified against that target.
Shame on you Ansar Abbasi. You are Ghaddar (traitor) Abbasi.
An account of Iftikhar Chaudhery’s Brilliant Career
By A.R. Yusuf
Our memories are short but not that short particularly with respect to Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry:
Oath on PCO 1999
1. In January 2000, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, then a serving judge on the Balochistan High Court (BHC), was one of the first judges to take the oath on the Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO) of the military dictator General Musharraf in violation of Pakistan’s constitution. This allowed him to be elevated to the Supreme Court to fill one of the vacancies left by the 11 judges who had resigned in protest at taking this oath.
Validation of the military coup
2. On May 13, 2000, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry was one of the 12 Supreme Court judges who validated the military coup of Gen Pervez Musharraf. They ruled that the removal of the elected government of Nawaz Sharif was legal on the basis of the ‘doctrine of necessity’.
Forced resignation of President Tarar
3. In June 2001, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry was one of two judges who visited the President House to convince the then President Rafiq Tarrar to resign, and make way for Gen Pervez Musharraf to assume that office.
Validation of Musharraf Military Rule
4. On April 13, 2005 in the ‘Judgment on 17th Amendment and President’s Uniform Case’, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry was one of five Supreme Court judges who dismissed all petitions challenging President Musharraf’s constitutional amendments.
In a wide ranging judgment they declared that the Legal Framework Order (LFO) instituted by General Musharraf after his suspension of the Constitution, the 17th Amendment which gave this constitutional backing, and the two offices bill which allowed Musharraf to retain his military uniform whilst being President were all legal.

Nepotism: Son’s Admission In FIA
Ansar Abbasi brought forth allegations against Chief Justice Iftikhar Choudhray for gross misconduct in 2002, accusing him for admitting his Son Dr. Arsalan to FIA undermining all merits. For details, see this post on ATP
Selective judgement on PCO judges
Constitution Petition Regarding PCO Judges:
The decision of the court in CONSTITUTION PETITION NO. 08 and 09 OF 2009 from 14 member bench headed by Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, summarily removed all justices of higher judiciary who were not part of it as on November 2, 2007. There removal was so ordered on ground that advice of de-jure Chief Justice of Supreme Pakistan was not obtained in these cases. In the same decision the court had held the de-jure Chief Justice between the period of November 3, 2007 and March 22, 2009 was Justice Chaudhry.
There were three groups of these removed justices.
Those who were elevated to higher courts and initially took oath on PCO.
Those who were elevated to higher courts after restoration of constitution, and were appointed by General Pervez Musharraf.
Those who were elevated to higher courts after restoration of constitution, and were appointed by Asif Ali Zardari.
This decision have resulted in situation where:
Newly appointed justices who never took any sort of oath on any PCO have been removed.
Sitting justices who took oath on PCO 2007 are still acting as justices, though their cases are to be sent to Supreme Judicial Council.
Sitting justices who accepted reappointed and took oath from Justice Dogar as still acting as justices of court with no action.
Justices who took oath on PCO of 1999 are still functioning as justices of higher judiciary.

The following report (in Tuesday June 26, 2007, of The News) actually details the charges of corruption against Justice Chaudhry.
http://www.thenews.com.pk/arc_default.asp
By Ansar Abbasi
ISLAMABAD: Some key government witnesses, who, in their affidavits, admitted to have extended undue favours to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry due to his pressure, are liable to punishment under the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Ordinance.
A legal expert of NAB, who talked to The News in consultation with the NAB spokesman, said on Monday that notwithstanding the pressures it is the authority that is responsible for acting against the violations.
Although the prime minister is not among the official witnesses, according to these affidavits filed with the full court, Shaukat Aziz, too, falls in the category of those who had succumbed to the top judge’s pressures and sanctioned a Mercedes Benz car for him to which the chief justice was not entitled.
The government witnesses, including Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousaf, Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao, Interior Secretary Syed Kamal Shah and some others, admitted in writing to have favoured the CJ beyond his entitlement.
According to a NAB legal expert, public office holders who misuse their authority to render, transfer or transmit any benefit to any person due to external pressures, commit an offence under this law.
“If you are vested with some trust or authority, you are responsible for its discharge in accordance with law,” the expert said on condition of anonymity, adding that the basic principle of law is that the authority is bound to act under the law and in line with the parameters set by the law.
Asked about the federal and provincial authorities, which, according to the government claims, had offered undue benefits to the chief justice after being pressurised by him, the expert said that misuse of authority is an offence and the one who misused it is liable to punishment.
An observer wondered why NAB has not initiated any action against the accused in this regard. Detailed scrutiny of the official affidavits shows the government authorities acknowledged to have rendered undue benefit to the CJ. In his affidavit, Chief of Staff to the President Lt-Gen (retd) Hamid Javaid said that Justice Chaudhry, in his sworn statement, had tried to create an impression as if a Mercedes Benz car in his use had been sent by the prime minister “of his own volition”.
Javaid said that contrary to the rules/guidelines, the CJ pressurised the Principal Secretary to the PM, Javed Sadiq Malik, for provision of a Mercedes Benz car from the pool of the Cabinet Division, which was provided in July 2005.
“Being dissatisfied with the 1993 model car, the CJP soon started agitating for its replacement with a 2004 model Mercedes Benz car. He kept pressing the matter till the prime minister’s approval for replacement of the car in February 2006.”
Chief Minister Jam Yousaf, in his affidavit, said that despite the fact that no post in technical cadre of section officer was available, he was compelled by the CJ to appoint his son Dr Arsalan as section officer. He said he did this because “I could not afford displeasure” of the CJP.
Yousaf said that he sent Dr Arsalan to the FIA on deputation on the insistence of the CJ. He added, “After appointment as section officer in ministry of health, I was again approached and asked by Chief Justice of Pakistan to confirm service of Dr Arsalan Iftikhar although he had only put in above five months service and did not complete the probation period. As the head of the Government of Balochistan, I could not afford displeasure of Mr Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry….”
Sherpao said, in his affidavit, that he was pressurized by the CJ through his emissary for Dr Arsalan’s deputation as assistant director (AD) in the FIA. He said that the CJ’s son was brought on deputation to the FIA as AD and later promoted to BS-18 with retrospective effect and sent for training to police academy on account of undue influence and pressure of the CJ. He was also sent on foreign course.
Kamal Shah claimed in his affidavit, “The Chief Justice of Pakistan blatantly used his high position to secure an undue advantage for his son. Not only the letter of 6th August, 2005, but all subsequent correspondence, actions and notification of Ministry of Interior in respect of Dr Arsalan Iftikhar were result of the Chief Justice of Pakistan employing the influence of his position to gain an advantage which was neither proper nor in the interest of his son.”
Shah said that the CJ’s son was sent on training to police academy for a course “exclusively meant” for PSP officers. Interestingly, when Shah was approached by this correspondent in early 2006 on the issue, he had said that he was pro-training and did not see anything wrong with Dr Arsalan joining police academy for specialized police training.
Former IG Sindh Jahangir Mirza in his affidavit said, “Mr Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was extremely fond of pomp and show and he always demanded, and got, excessive protocol and security cover during his visits to Sindh.” He admitted that even the “excessive” demands like providing three police mobiles, two police jeeps, elite force contingent, SP for escort, inspector for pilot duty and ASI for gunman duty along with a “Walki Talki set and 9mm Glock-17 pistol”.
He said, “However, when it became unreasonable, I had to express regrets.” Incumbent IG Sindh Ziaul Hasan said in his affidavit that the CJ traveled to Punjab and demanded very high protocol beyond his entitlement. He added that he was asked by a SC assistant registrar that Dr Arsalan be provided a new 6 cylinder jeep and he should also be allowed to wear police uniform. “When apprised that an FIA officer is not entitled to wear police uniform, Mr. Muhammad Bashir Janjua again insisted that Chief Justice of Pakistan has desired that his son should wear police uniform. Thereafter Dr Arsalan Iftikhar unauthorisedly started wearing police uniform with rank of ASP.”
He added that during his stint as commandant police academy he was again approached by Janjua to insist that Dr Arsalan be nominated for a foreign course. Hassan said that when he told Janjua that the course is meant for serving police officers and not under training officers, he was told that the CJ wants his son’s nomination for the foreign training course. “Accordingly, Dr Arsalan was nominated for the course…”
Amil Shameem Wynne, the district police officer Pashin, in his affidavit said that the CJ called him and “forcefully ordered” to promote constable Abdur Rehman, who was Justice Iftikhar’s personal orderly and was middle pass not qualified to become a head constable without fulfilling pre-requisite for the said rank. But still he admitted to have immediately conveyed verbal order of the CJ to central police officer through a formal letter. He said on the same day the constable was allowed to put on the ranks of head constable though formal approval was granted later.
The DG protocol Sindh Muddassir Iqbal in his affidavit said, “The officer incharge, Supreme Court, Karachi has, from time to time, been making requisition for providing Mercedes car from Chief Minister’s pool and other vehicles like Parados/Land Cruisers/Toyota Corolla for the use of Chief Justice of Pakistan during stay at Karachi and tour/tours to interior Sindh, besides requisition for detailing vehicles for the family/wife of Chief Justice of Pakistan.” Iqbal admitted, “That the same were provided as per demand.”
The DG protocol Punjab Mushtaq Hussan Hamdani said that the CJ has been provided vehicles of different types as per demand from chief minister’s pool for his and his family’s use during his stay in Lahore. However, once, upon being provided an old model Mercedes, the CJ got annoyed.
The director general FIA, Tariq Parvez, said in his affidavit that following a message from the CJ, he contacted the secretary interior, who stated that Dr Arsalan be allowed to assume charge of the FIA with effect from 30th September 2005 and not 22nd March 2006 as had been done by the FIA. The DG, however, wrote on the file in June 2006 that neither FIA requisitioned the CJ son’s services nor was it involved at any stage for his deputation or district attachment.
The secretary establishment, Syed Tariq Bukhari, according to the presidential reference, after being pressurized by the CJ had recommended a rule tailor made for Dr Arsalan’s induction but this rule was never approved by the prime minister. Bukhari, however, in his affidavit did not talk of the recommended rule but reflected at length how he was pressurized by the CJ to get his son inducted into the police service of Pakistan. Like Tariq Pervez, Bukhari also wrote on the file about the prevailing law position vis-à-vis the demand of the chief justice.
Khushnood Akhtar Lashari, the then additional chief secretary Punjab and presently federal health secretary, was also among those few official witnesses who according to their affidavits showed the courage to speak their mind before the CJ when he was functional.
Lashari’s affidavit said, “I informed the Chief Justice that the Mercedes car that was given for his use has been performing protocol duties for his predecessor as well. Provision of such cars to visiting Chief Justices and Judges of superior judiciary was a courtesy extended by the Provincial Government and it was not mandated under the rules. The Chief Justice in an annoyed mood left for his court to hear cases.” Lashari also said that the CJ had tried to intimidate the officers for obtaining privileges he was otherwise not entitled to.
